Unfortunately, I only remember being told about that whole "alternate account racism" thing but don't exactly remember what happened or if it was even really his alt. The last ban you got for disrespect or "trolling" was last year, and that was only a day. Don't exactly understand the jump to a month ban, even if he had older bans for longer. As for Zack, I do know he's quite the toxic guy when he is on the server. I am honestly surprised in you guys only giving him a gag instead of a ban as well. From what I read there was a warning and it stopped there, so I don't exactly know why you guys did jump to a ban as quickly as you did without even kicking him beforehand. I do feel as though there is some unfairness in how the situation was handled, even if Sylux has a "history", Zack should be punished exactly the same.
 
+1 to drop the ban to at least a week, if not completely.
+1 to punish Zack with the same length, they're both in the wrong and should be treated with the same punishment for fairness.

Stuff like this, and the "I don't think that's the way we want to be seen as a community." argument confuse me. How is a NSFW channel bad when:

It clearly states with an alert the size of the entire discord UI that you must be 18+ to view upon first clicking on it
we don't even accept people that young into the community
it's used as a vent to keep some of that content out of other channels
we (can) have a rank that you have to manually add yourself to access the channel (virr said he has this ready to go, so it's not actually implemented yet, but this can still be a point)
and a few (respected, even) members here act in such a way during a normal day anyways? On mic, especially. Silence for goddamn sure.

 
I don't recall this clan trying to cater towards creating a safe haven for 10-year-olds to play on tf2 servers and then not be allowed to join the community because they're not old enough? If anything, I remember kids around that age being restricted from talking on their microphones.
 
Don't get me wrong, I know servers are supposed to be PG- 13, but I'm pretty sure it's because if NSFW was allowed, it would be taken too far, or be too far in the gray areas and make the entire environment an uncomfortable one, thus making it extremely difficult or stressful to moderate.

And just because you're passive aggressive/sassy towards literally every single person in this clan doesn't mean everyone else has to be the same way with anything plane aggressive they say

I'm on both sides here. Although I don't care about what's posted in the channel too much, my main intention for joining a GAMING community's voice server is surprisingly not for porn.
However, due to it being explicitly stated that potentially NSFW content could be posted in that channel upon joining, anyone doing so is doing it at their own risk. It's not like it's a secret.
 
If you're against the channel existing: Mute it, hide it, and move on. That's what I did, and *gasp* I magically don't see whenever people post in it anymore, it's like it doesn't exist! See it as a containment channel so they don't infect the other channels with that content. Ok? Ok.
 
On the other hand, I don't really see an absolute need for a NSFW channel other than memes taken to the extreme. However, since I muted the channel, it's not harming me any so it doesn't matter to me if it stays or not.

The thing is the fact that people are having a debate whether or not to keep one nsfw channel on discord is pretty laughable to me as i dont see how it could in any way be a problem so im just joking about it (especially virr being the one who created the thread after mocking one suggestion i made in chat calling it "such a 1st world problem" (yeah fuck you and your stupid cat virr))

I just wanted to say I am incredibly sorry to anyone I have been rude to on teamspeak and discord as of late. I've just been in a bad state these days... I really can't take it anymore. Life is just coming at me with one thing after another... The minecraft server has been down for so long and I can't take it anymore guys.. All I wanna do is make MineBrothers lets play videos and crate openings for the boys and I can't do that without the server. It's really hard out here. I ask for your sympathy and forgiveness.
 
P.S does anyone know how to setup a soundboard for discord?? With teamspeak being dead I haven't been able to listen to my Galaxy Goat Minecraft parodies.. That's been hard on me too.

Yeah and make sure you name the role either "Triggered", "Internally Oppressed" or "12 Year Old"

Also NSFW content is banned on our servers because it's against the server's TOS, and was never really something I was against when the community was started. Since Discord is not on our own host, I don't have a problem with having a single channel dedicated to the shitposting. And if it's the ONE place it's allowed, then why not have it on Discord?

The fact that 16 year olds are posting gay sh*t only. pls get rid.

you have a few fair points, your biggest one though "and it's just an overall better platform to make a server and talk to a small group of friends."
 
I agree it's nicer when it's a small group of friends, but having a 100+ people all in one discord would not be something feasible. I want to get everyone on the same VOIP which is why I want us to be on teamspeak. Anyways, thanks for the input regardless :)

We've had many discussions about why we don't use discord, and I have said in the past that I do not want to force staff to use teamspeak, instead of forcing I would like to know from you guys what it would take to get you to start using our teamspeak.
 
If you are staff and do not use our teamspeak, I would like to know the reasons behind you not wanting to use teamspeak despite it being our official VOIP and the fact that we want new players to also use our teamspeak and populate it. If none of you use teamspeak, you guys are pretty much indirectly persuading the new members to not use it either since if they want to hang out with you guys, it has to be on your own discords.
 
On teamspeak we are able to integrate it with the forums so you not only get credits every minute you're on teamspeak (and not afk) but also the fact we release custom icons and you are known by your staff rank (different stars for different staff) to help newer folks interact with you.
 
Anyways, all that being said, the question is just what would it take for us to convince you to use our teamspeak more often. We used to have a rule back in the CS:S days that you must be active on teamspeak, I'm not gonna threaten you with a demotion at this time and I know some of our higherups use discord as well, this is just an open discussion, no flame allowed.

Its free stuff, deal with it. We don't have to have this plugin. Just be happy that you even get just a single piece of metal.
 
Its main purpose is to encourage people to join our server.
