Also bois I got a solution for this that is better than removing the map, I pm'd the map creator and talked to him about the problem and he said that'd he create a version of the map with better spawn locations for our server since we don't have spawn protection and the spawns are the only thing really wrong with the map

I've seen you around and you've been pretty decent for the most part, but you have had times where you've been a naughty boy still. Such as two days ago on surf when you kept ignoring staff about the spawn killing rule up until the point that you ended up getting banned for it, which is a big nono. So I'm just gonna stay neutral on this one since I don't know you that well and since it was a minor thing, but it should still be taken in consideration when deciding; so good luck on the thread anyway man

How on earth is that stupid? Any way for someone to try and get a hold of a staff member or address a legitimate issue is perfectly fine so long as they themselves aren't breaking any rules. Not everyone is going to be aware of even how to tell if staff are on, but likely will know of the calladmin command and will resort to it or may not know that staff are on but want to call something out subtly without announcing it to everyone on the server. In that such a case, there are plenty of people who know of the calladmin command and what it does but aren't aware of admin chat.
 
Regardless of all these possibilities and situations, it makes no sense to punish someone for trying to call out an actual occurring problem because they didn't do so in the most refined possible way. Banning people for the use of abusing calladmin is reserved for when it is not being used appropriately such as falsely reporting someone for no reason or anything that can be described as trolling. It's not for when the use of a calladmin is not the most appropriate way to handle a situation, as it's potentially always an appropriate way.
 
+1 for unban, logic did not misuse the plugin and did not deserve to be banned for reporting someone. (Sorry if any of this was poorly written, waking up hurts)

In fairness to vaporeon, i will give my experience when he was staff member. My experience with him as staff members was largly negative, there were times where i felt i was getting wrongfully targeted by vaporeon by the smallest shit that ranged from just cussing to throwing bantz toward my friends, even after i explained to him a number of times that they were my buddies and for some reason would always try to push me by doing silly shit like taunting after kills and other little things to get under my skin. Also, every damn time someone would talk about his vore sprays in disgust he would get incredibly defensive and usually cause some silly shit. Now is it entirely his fault? No. Some comments were really mean and vaporeon didn't deserve them. However, these people would be muted for causing a ruckus (i believe i was muted myself at one point and i had to talk to a higher up, however feel free to exclude this because i can't remember completely, i believe it was scootaloo who had to get involved). Some were deserved, some weren't but it begs the question if you have a controversial spray that you know will disgust people, perhaps you should change it? Because at that point in my honest opinion it feels like your baiting and just asking for shit to start. You can have a vore fetish and by all means, have fun getting off to that shit but in this environment where you are in control of people and wish for them to keep in an orderly fashion, it would be wise to just change it something else like a vaporeon skin. because it gets to the point where people are just gonna throw shit at you or just get very uncomfortable with it. I mean, his last mod tenure ended with him getting incredibly frustrated and stepping down after he kept trying to say his spray was a "political statement" or some silly shit like that. I feel it's very valid for people to bring up his vore sprays as an issue of concern, but meme responses are retarded and add nothing. I won't vouch because i don't think it's fair for me to +1 or -1 because i haven't seen him play recently (nor have i been on the servers) so i cannot comment if he actually has matured. Good luck vaporeon with your application. If you have improved on your attitude and take my advice to heart then i don't see how you can't be mod. Hopefully shit goes better this time if you are willing to put in the effort to compromise with people who have issues with your spray and or attitude.

Common misconception that joining the steam group = member. I explained that he had to make a proper application to wear the tags, so he did. (and yes he did remove them after it was explained)
 
As for the actual application, the guy is friendly enough and I have seen him around a little bit. Besides not knowing the tags thing he usually follows rules well. +1

To be honest I honestly don't care too much as it is a game server and you can't expect everyone to not have some kind of lewd sprays (including me), so I'm pretty lenient unless it directly shows the like the nipples or something of the sort where then I will yell at the person. Smelly

We did discuss this issue after the Brian thread actually (just not publicly), though IIRC the consensus was that we should have the punishment match the offense as opposed to some arbitrary number of months that the bans stop counting after.
 
That said, with regards to reducing Sylux's ban, it has been nearly a year since he was last banned and it was for abuse of calladmin/disrespect not trolling and harassment like the current one. However I cannot just ignore his history of inflammatory and disrespectful behavior. So, my proposal is that we reduce his current ban to a week and replace the month punishment with a silence.
With note to @Sylux, stop being such a rude boi to people, it gets you nowhere good quick. Also, other people being part of a problem does NOT make it ok to continue causing it.
 
As for Zack, I would appreciate a proper ban request thread where we can have all of that information in one place to be its own focus of discussion.
Aside from getting his own ban request thread, I have heard that there is some amount of favoritism towards Zack who by most accounts is given much leniency and was only given a day mute. That would be fine if Sylux had gotten a day mute recently prior to this incident, but he didn't. As it turns out Sylux hasn't had a day mute in over 2 years! (from presumably Rejects since SB says the admin was deleted) It seems to me like somebody forgot to mute Sylux for a day or more before jumping to bans. We are given the ability to mute people for more than 30 min for a reason, don't ignore that when it is convenient towards the end of banning people you don't like.

To avoid saying the exact same thing in this thread for the hundredth fucking time I'm just gonna give the gist of it. Sylux argued and was perhaps a little toxic, but his last bans were last year.
Zack is constantly being a salty man child in-game whining when things don't go his way and starts pointless arguments with everyone. How has this guy not been banned before????? Sometimes I wonder how well the staff team is holding back bias ?
