Before I start, I'd to let you guys know that activity and ability to play JB correctly does NOT mean someone is fit for moderator. If that were the case we'd promote everyone who's been on for a decent while and knows how to play.
ScottNi is definitely a special case in xG. He's a generally fun person in most cases but can also show signs of immaturity or just not being ready. Through this TEDTalk writing I will explain the three things you should keep in mind about Scott before coming to a real decision, and maybe I can change some points of view. Firstly, we'd have to talk about Scott's impact on the community, we'd have to talk about his maturity, and his readiness to handle leadership. Scott has the potential to be a great staff member but does not clearly present it.
To start us off, Scott is usually an enjoyable person. There hasn't been major troubles with him since Goldfish. But even coming from me, Scott has some serious issues with goldfish and did not show even the slightest bit of kindness when around him. Scott plays a lot of 10mans but in the case when it gets toxic, he often contributes to the toxicity rather than helping. While he usually doesn't start the problems, he sure doesn't fix them and a lot of the times causes them to continue further and build up more toxicity. Scott has made friends with the majority of the community as well as joining in on memes, them being annoying or not. Scott has definitely shown his involvement with the community, but not his commitment.
Scott has issues with maturity. He doesn't showcase his best behavior and often has problems with certain members. He also doesn't react kindly to random people who don't like him. Scott has shown that one of his major weaknesses is his immaturity and while there are attempts to improve, nothing is achieved. Scott also doesn't seem to own up to his mistakes and instead tries to play it off or just make an excuse. When receiving criticism, Scott often pulls the hypocrisy card or shifts blame. This minecraft stuff that's been going on shouldn't be disregarded since it is key evidence displaying Scott's personality. If he acts this way on other servers chances are he's not going to put on a mask on xG. I assume we wouldn't encourage fake personalities solely on our servers while also representing the xG community outside and being intolerable. Scott needs to improve on his overall maturity and how he acts around the public of our servers.
Donald McGannon, a broadcasting industry executive in the mid 1900's, once said "Leadership is an action, not a postion". This is a perfect example to use here since it seems like Scott doesn't have much interest in moderating servers, but more for the position you stand in. I'm not saying he is power hungry or would abuse, the problem here is that I've seen too many of these examples where someone is just tired of getting freekilled and being too lazy to get evidence. Another issue here is that due to either his wardening skills, his voice, or his overall personality, it doesn't seem like the semi-new community likes him much. With the moderator position you will get less disrespect and can act on the people who don't like you, which is not at all what it's about. Moderating is about leadership and readiness to voluntarily commit your devotion to the community. The willingness and eagerness to help out when needed is what it's about. The ability to not play, but moderate carefully when needed. I just don't think Scott shows visible signs that he is ready.
In conclusion, Scott hasn't shown enough maturity or readiness to be a moderator in the community. He may have a decent reputation in the clan but just doesn't show the leadership skills or the maturity to join us in the roster yet. I believe Scott will one day soon be ready but for now he just hasn't got it in him. One day Scott could make a great moderator and he definitely has the potential but just overall does not show enough that we can see. I will not be +1ing this moderator application due to the fact that Scott does know clearly present his potential to be a moderator.
Unfortunately, a "neutral" does nothing and gets nothing done. In this case I am going to have to go with a -1. Scott's overall maturity and presented moderator-friendly skills do not convince me that he is ready to join the CS:GO XenoGamer staff roster.

-1 for probationary mod. I don't feel like probationary mod is the way to go. I believe someone should apply when they are truly ready to join the staff as a full mod and shouldn't have to prove themselves worthy or whatever. 

0. One of the most active people on the server and very knowledgeable of the rules but I'm not confident that the level of maturity is there just yet. He reminds me of myself in 2014* (where I should have never gotten mod honestly). Generally kind to the server population but as soon as someone starts being annoying or someone he adamantly hates (supermaki, goldfish, sodium etc) is around it turns into insulting and a generally negative tone. Also tends to hold grudges and continue arguments where the easiest option would just be to leave (can't argue with stupid lol). best course of action imo is probationary mod for 2-4 weeks.

Just to clarify, applying for member does not give you moderator, admin or any staff position. Being a member means you are officially part of the community, represent our clan with the tag and have a chance to be given moderator in each promo demo. There are multiple different perks to being member too, such as being able to vouch for other players to become member, apply for staff and be considered for staff.

Not getting unbanned due to the context and your history, but I would not have banned you a whole day over such an issue. If you ever have a problem, feel free to message a higher-up if you want a second opinion.

For everyone here, getting back on to dispute a kick or a mute is not grounds to be banned. That being said, the way YOU try to dispute just ruins the server experience for everyone which is why I'm not unbanning you. You knew exactly what you were doing by playing music in your background despite previous warnings, and you were just baiting staff.
Play on our servers to have fun, stop causing unnecessary conflict.

Your right, it’s not there job to babysit But a mod shouldn’t be taking unesasary measures to resolve conflict. I feel like there’s a disconnect between people responding here and what actually happened. I was muted for having music in the background. I missed the initial warning of no music in the background because it was casually typed in all chat without even using the all green staff color. After that of course I saw the warnings so I turned my music down and thought someone like bonk wasn’t so ban hungry to go ahead and kick me for having faint music in the background. I could barely even here my music at points. But no bonk is to much of a wuss to handle that so I was kicked. I literally thought he was trolling when I got back on but he wasn’t. Of course it was unnecessary the 2nd time so I argued my case for all of 3 min and so for arguing with a irrelevant bitch of a mod and with no warning I was banned for 24 hours for arguing with a mod and it was 24 hours because earlier Danny as a meme told me he was gonna ban me for micspamming again. That threat happened for a totally different argument too. Hopefully this makes it easier for people who were not there to know what happened.

you weren't banned for the music in the background (although that is what I initially warned/muted/kicked you for), you were banned for arguing with not only me, but multiple other staff members as well. when they told you the same thing I did you told them the same thing - "you can't punish me for having music on in the background!" if you read the ban on SourceBans, it doesn't say "playing music in the background," it says "arguing, ignoring admins" which was why I banned you
keep in mind this music wasn't 'quiet' or 'faint', it was loud enough to the point where a) I could tell it was Enter Sandman by Metallica and b) it was hard to understand you. that is why I asked you to turn it off; if someone has a bad microphone or something in the background that can make it difficult to understand them (read: music) then staff members are by all means allowed to ask them to either fix it or to stop using their mic (unless this has changed since I was an admin, but it hasn't to my knowledge)
it's a 24 hour ban, wait it out.

Anyways, Waluigi definitely knows the rules. He was out first ever member after the great revival of xG csgo, and has learned a lot and knows rules. He would make a good addition to the staff roster, and I don't mind the size of it since jailbreak is absolute aids without staff on.

also this, when you say "people freekilling pls come" that means we come on and watch, maybe punish them if they are doing it since you probs dont have a demo if you call us. and then we watch for a bit, 9/10 times though the server is self sufficient without staff but we're usually there, you dont see us. it's magic.

In my opinion if it look like neither of you are going to finish and its already been like 2-3 minutes then I would slay yourself anyway as to not delay, I don't think it should be held against you for slaying as to not delay

The deal with this though is they made it through the entire round for lr not to just have people slay yeah i understand if people wanna slay but the whole don't slay during lr makes sense i wanna have a fun fight not lr then lose it to some cunt who doesn't want me to have it i think saying no slaying during lr is fair otherwise there is no point in an lr in the first place

either way you get credits if you win lr so why not let them slay free creds XD
