If that's the case, then why not allow playful use of all of them instead of just one? That's an idea.

Here's my thing. Sure, different slurs are treated differently in different aspects of life, but they're all still derogatory terms that have a ton of dark history behind them. Just because they're looked at differently doesn't mean that one is somehow more appropriate than the other. 

Here's essentially how I feel when I hop onto the servers. You tell me that I can call my homosexual friend a 'fag' but can't call my African American friend 'my nigga'. I feel like if they both don't care, why should it matter?

My views on this topic haven't really changed. Either allow all of them completely or ban all of them. If I'm being honest, allowing one and banning the rest is just illogical and kind of stupid.

  I've applied before, got rejected once due to the higher-ups not believing I'm mature enough. It was a valid reason for rejection, I was awfully toxic at times. The other time I was too overwhelmed with school so I decided to cancel the application. Yet, with school coming to a close, I think I'm finally able to fully commit to the servers. 

  I feel like with this school year gone by, I've become much less toxic and much more talkative. I feel like I'll actually be contributing to the server whereas back then I was just messing around all the time. I don't really have much else to say other than that. Just that I think I'm ready to take on a new role within the community.

  With all that being said, I would really appreciate some feedback as to why you gave the + or - 1. Doing that will help me improve in a positive way which is what I want to do.

I'm really excited to hear this. Recently I've been hopping onto TF2 wanting to play some xG only to realize the servers are pretty much dead. Hopefully this revives the servers but if not I'll always be in xG. 

As for suggestions I don't have anything in particular but I guess if possible maybe you could find something that could add some new content.

What headphones do you guys use when you're out and about listening to music and not getting that ? I like the Nura Nuraphones. The personalization and immersion feature are the reason why they are my favorite.

Because I'm unaware about other division's rules, I'm making this discussion in the TF2 section of the forums.

As you may or may not know, the word faggot is allowed on xG's TF2 servers. The word originated in the early 16th century and is often used in a derogatory way to refer to a homosexual man. The word nigger, commonly referred to as the n-word is also used in a derogatorily way. It can be used to identify an African American person. It originated in the 1800s as an adaptation to the Spanish word negro, a word developed by the term niger which means black. The n-word, is not allowed in xG's TF2 servers, unlike the word faggot, which is allowed. 

With that history out of the way, I'd like to ask my question: Why is one slur allowed but another one isn't?

I completely agree with Skittle here. Jump academy is a good way for new jumpers to learn the ropes of jumping without having too much of a challenge. And sure there may be dedicated jump academy servers however if XG has one it could possibly lead new jumpers into the rest of the community. 

I know jump like just got made and we don't know how popular it will be but nonetheless I think having a teacher rank for qualified jumpers would be a nice addition to help new jumpers coming onto the xg jump server for the first time really want to come back to hang out. Not only will people want to come back to xg but they will also want to improve at jumping and that is a big plus in my book.

As for being blunt to people, I can see how you think that. I think you just happen to catch me on my low points but I will definitely work on improving that overall and trying to not be as negative per say. As for spamming Lenny faces. I can sort of agree with you there on something I have to work on. I don't think I really ever "spammed" Lenny binds but I do think I used them more than the average player. Definitely something I'll work on getter better at though. And as for being immature, yeah I agree with you there. I can be really immature at times he howeverver for the most part I think I'm getting better. Thanks for the feedback Kypari!

My friend, I love you to death. You are an absolutely awesome dude, a supportive friend, and a good player. That being said, I don't feel like you show those sides of yourself on the server. You need to open up to the community in game a bit more and greet people with a smile instead of a troll Lenny bind or going mute when others are around! Knowing you personally and knowing you on servers is what makes this hard, I believe you have potential to be a great mod, but i'm not sure if now is the best time until you can break out of your shell a bit on server.

I personally think I've been getting better at opening up to new people and not just being a troll. Like you said it's just taken time and might take a little more time until I'm a social butterfly per say. Nonetheless thanks for your input Seggie!
