Dear folks, over the past weeks I've been noticing that a lot of people love banning themselves for like 1 minute or so. I'm offically asking you to refrain from doing so. It makes us, as a whole, look really unprofessional. Imagine a possible sponsor looking at bans.xenogamers.com and seeing that person X has banned themself for the reason "memes XDDD" for one minute. You feel me? So yeah. Much love and everything - Bello tagging all staff members: @Rejects @Bello @Goblins @mrnutty12 @Vexx @lik202 @Egossi @BlankuChan @ArminArmout @Jon_N64 @TheSupremePatriot @PyroBunny @bananashoes @Osiris @Bagel @Vixen @Dethman @Shadower @Floppy @Vacindak @Flareon @DonVitoCorleone @Parasect

    Tgh Map Requests

This is going to be a very lengthy post concerning older maps that were removed because of problems or other reasons. I'm going to go over how we can fix them/why they should be re-added. First we have Minecraft_neon, the map was removed because it would never exit pre-round therefore leaving the advanced infinite ammo on. I've already talked to @Bello about getting it re-added, now our problem is that we can't even get the map to load on TGH. Here a link to the map, which I ripped off my old computer and uploaded to google drive: trade_minecraft_neon_v65_xmas.bsp Now I'm going to go over Trade_abstract_augemented. The map was removed because extremely loud music that could be spammed by noclipping into a "music room" and hitting buttons. There are two ways we could go about re-adding this map, that being disabling the music or making a map-specific rule for even using the music on the map. This is an old map that many people would like to see back, and I don't see a problem with re-adding it since there's already maps that require constant moderation, like Frantic Factory. Here's a link to the map: trade_abstract_augemented (Team Fortress 2 > Maps > Trade) - GAMEBANANA The Rogueport map was removed because of really bad issues with bodyblocking, and for some reason spawncamp (which hasn't stopped us from removing other maps before, so why for that reason?). I don't see why Rogueport was removed for those reasons, Frantic and Rusty_bucket already have a problem with bodyblocking, so why remove Rogueport? Here's a link to Rogueport: Steam Workshop :: Rogueport Trade_Minecraft_fishpond was removed out of the blue. I can't really see/find a reason on why this map disappeared, I actually thought it was on the map list until recently. I do really miss this map, and I don't see a problem with having it in the rotation, please re-add this. Link to Minecraft_fishpond: Trade Minecraft Fishpond (Sunny) (Team Fortress 2 > Maps > Trade) - GAMEBANANA Ctf_the_lava_giant_b2 was removed because people dislike that it was an objective map. Now that TGH has a plugin for disabling objectives, I don't see why we didn't re-add this, probably because it was forgotten or something. I enjoy this map and personally would like to see it re-added. Link to Lava_giant: ctf_the_lava_giant_b2 (Team Fortress 2 > Maps > Capture the Flag) - GAMEBANANA Anyway, just a few map suggestions to break the staleness that I've been feeling with TGH as of late, hope to hear some feedback from you guys. @Bello @Vixen @Rejects

I'm guessing you mean if you attack someone or someone attacks you you'd want a llittle pop-up saying : "Hey dum-dum you're still in almighty invincible mode and shouldnt kill people because that is mean"?

R.I.P, guess i cant reach 20 more. Also sorry for the super inactivity, I am now going to be active on a regular basis. (Thanks for being so patient with my activity @Bello <3 )

I've never done it to myself personally, I mean I can understand the "for the meme xddd" but I don't want more bans under my name. I've seen some staff come in with 20+ bans, which I would hope are said 1 minute bans.

    [xg:tf2:a] Egossi - Counter-strike

Edit: So the whole thing stemmed from the issue of Egossi not removing his tags or making it obvious he's TF2 staff and not listening to Virr / Pepper when they asked to make it clear, and Egossi's defense was he didn't think it was a legit issue as there is no rule for staff to remove tags on other division's servers. After discussing with both parties, All 3 admit they can handle it better. In the end, I think @Egossi needs to show a little more respect and understand when staff of another division are asking for tags to be removed, to understand their point of view and if he doesn't comply to ask for a higher up's opinion. And the other 2 @virr and @DrPepperPhreak can talk to higher ups to help with clarification on rules that aren't really written down if there's a dispute, and to show respect. Remember, it's a gaming community, you guys do not need to be on each others necks over such issues.

At the end of the day I'm glad the only 2 things I've been criticised for so far has only been jokingly not changing my tags and not being active enough, which I'll be working on improving from this point forward seeing how serious people can get about it thanks to the people who pointed those things out, seriously, I had no idea that anyone thought of my staff tags not being changed as something major to freak out about

    Teamspeak Community Channels

So a thing I'd like to discuss is our gigantic volume of teamspeak channels and mainly their sub channels. I would like to reduce the amount of channels we have, and mainly make it so any community channel can have max 1-3 sub channels. This thread is open for discussion, and I would like to hear the input from people who use the community channels.

Egossi knows what mistakes he has made and aims to fix those. He's an amazing staff member on TF2, despite his recent lack of activity. I would suggest if his activity on TF2 improves soon, he should be given a probationary moderator position on CS. If he can keep his activity up on both TF2 and CS whilst also being mature, I think he should be given the opportunity. Just my view.

I'll admit that it sounds quite useful, I'll look into it tomorrow.

If you do ever want to play ranked, a thing that helps quite a lot of people is to type /mute @all at the beginning of the game. Prevents you from seeing other people's comments and allows you to focus on your own gameplay. I personally don't do it but I see the benefits for either option

One of the reasons I avoid playing Ranked is because I play the game to have fun; which typically means playing with unconventional builds from time to time (Crittlesticks) and just generally not taking the game seriously. Chances are you'll face toxicity both in and out of ranked, it'll just be more potent in ranked because it's full of try-hards who want to win and excel, and they can't do this if others aren't "pulling their weight" so to speak. Unfortunately, this isn't always the case as there's a huge tendency for players to get tilted from minor things which in turn affects their gameplay. More often than not, I've found that players who lose their cool end up bringing the whole team down. Whether that be through verbal abuse, or through irrational decision making. We all know that one player; the one that continuously throws him/herself at an opposing player with the mentality of 'this time I'll kill him' until they go into full tilt mode when it never works and the enemy snowballs off of it. Or the one player who starts picking apart the team in terms of whose lane is doing the worst and solely blames them for throwing the game. Needless to say, if you plan on playing Ranked it's important not to let anyone get to you; opposing players or otherwise. Prepare yourself for the toxicity beforehand and act accordingly. If someone is upset with how you're playing, simply defuse the situation by apologizing, stating that you're somewhat new to the ranked scene, or what-have-you. It's far easier (and way more constructive) to acknowledge that someone on the team is upset and to reply in a way that won't make them tilt any harder than it is to give a sarcastic or hostile response. That all being said, Ranked certainly isn't for everyone. I prefer my games with a little less salt, if you know what I mean :Old Man:

Tbh I think we should have a cap of 20 community channels o_o hah hah well tbh like if I had 20 channels I would fill some with memes others with anime and maybe one or two with sarcastic statements of murder o_o I'm killing myself!!! :D At any given time my channels will have a maximum of two sub channels with people in it. :3 I want 30 channels actually more anime o_o

I can't believe it got to the point where I had to make this post out of nowhere but, as a response to the argument that has been going around in this thread and teamspeak, I sincerely apologize for I have not changed my tag from [xG:A] to [xG:TF2:A] on our CS:GO multiple times, as I also ignored staff members such as @virr and @DrPepperPhreak telling me to change my tag, simply because I never thought of it as a major rule break/disrespect, I have simply seen the whole "egossi change your tags!" thing as a partial joke/gag, which I was wrong about and again, apologize for. On the personal level side of the story I feel disrespected as I've not been talked to as if I was a human being but rather a disabled animal, and for that I will just have to reconsider who I see as a friend and who I don't, please do not peruse this topic or derail this thread much further.
