Totally. I was banned last year for shooting open a vent before I was in xG (by McNeo), and I banned myself for slaying myself on someone's LR when they didn't want me to. Pretty drastic offenses, I know.

IMO Teamspeak is more annoying than anything. I don't know how you people tell who's talking in game or in TS. It's especially annoying when people in game and in TS are just BS'ing and you can't hear wardens orders over the fucking TS people. "So turn up the game audio"......OK then I can't hear TS people...whatever, TS is funny when you can ghost, but that's about it. I vote for bringing back dead chat. If there are no mods on, then there's no way to get an answer to why you were killed. By the time the round is over, the CT forgot why they killed you anyway. For learning purposes for newbs, dead chat is very helpful.

So I dont know what category to place this under, but I just wanna post something this. I don't really think it matters how it is on CS:S or how it was supposed to be in the first place. It's become so ingrained with the players of the server that the loss of this is only causing more harm than good.

About that, you gotta give 2 seconds for the Ts to do the orders after you give them. Not including the first order. Give 5 seconds for first step out, AFK freeze type order, then 2-3 seconds after that, or its delaying = Rebel.

It's always nicer to have more people on our server. It's like when I've checked out VJB before and had one guy being a dick to me for no reason. That's not how most of them are and sometimes I just like to check out other places with no evil intent. I wouldn't want WD, especially harmless people not wanting to come onto our servers for fear of harrasment. Anyone who does do banworthy stuff can just be banned anyway. +1 to unban

edit: had typed this out before Chrono posted. Before someone says "use admin chat for that" not all issues have to be solved through mods/admins, especially if you're not sure if it was a freekill or not. You can't simply ask the person to clarify on orders directly, you have to go through mods/admins (who commonly give the reply "didn't see it, can't do anything"). Not everything has to be dealt harshly either (this goes back to fostering a larger community). There have been many cases where I just ask the person, "Hey X, why did you kill me?" only to find out it was a simple mistake and the person happily slays themselves, problem solved. The other side of the coin is a mod slays the person with no warning, then they get mad and even when a mod explains what they did wrong they already have a sour taste in their mouth. They'll always remember xG as the server with the dick mods that slayed them (I am not saying this is true, this is just how they'll remember xG).

Give me names, or I can't talk to them, and when they say that just send another message "Could you atleast ask ___________ why he freekilled me?"

I'd also like to add that I believe this change will overall hurt the community aspect of the server and it's dedicated players, something which the server needs more of.

Yeah... It shouldn't really be disabled, as you stated in your first post; there is rarely any ghosters that would reveal a specific location of a person. Obviously on teamspeak that's a different matter. Having said that, when playing a game such as the backpack game, it is evident that dead terrorists can on occasion reveal the colour of one's backpack which subsequently makes this change useful. However since we have more active moderators, like toob said; we can just gag the players who ghost.

Bleed agreed that they should be using admin chat to communicate that they were freekilled, and to ask admins to request that music be stopped from hldj etc on freedays. the 'ghosting' problem that was non-existant would be when rebelling if you kill a CT, not always but on occassion, that CT would abuse dead chat and type in his team chat and tell the other CTs where the rebel is. as well as answering trivia questions and pries in surprise trivia. Admin chat still broadcasts globally, living will see admin chat, and if an admin needs to communicate something to the living, they can private message or all chat it.

I don't agree that an ocasional issue where a CT would abuse dead chat is worth the pain and suffering (joke) that this has caused. If there was a poll for this decision, I guarantee you there would be an overwhelming majority that vote to bring it back.

+1 Peeble as I like to talk with people while I am alive/dead and it makes the server more funny and social. Although I agree with the @Admin chat to deal with freekillers, only thing is we don't do much to tell most people that the option is there, besides Bleed having it binded

I unbinded that a long time ago because no one used it. People constantly ghosted, whether it was how much health CTs/Ts had, where guns were, or how to do a secret it was constantly happening. Now with the new plugin its stopped. If you need something just use admin chat. (type @ in team chat with whatever you want to say, ex @ chrono smells bad) dasdasdasdsa

Maybe I just miss it but 99% of the time I've seen in-game ghosting (which is quite rare, maybe once a week) it's always been someone new to the server and it was immediately met with people in chat telling them to stop ghosting and telling mods about it. IMO policing ghosting has already been effective enough to not need this change.

Ghosting is annoying that's for sure. But, it will never be stopped. Ghosting can still happen during Steam Friends Chats & Teamspeak. I don't enter xG's TS server but you can't tell me you guys don't ghost on there. It's too obvious sometimes. :P I left another clan because the community was so boring & hectic. Some people were better to talk to than others. They had the same plugin that xG just added. Something about how it was when we could type when dead was something I loved. It does make socializing better. Much more hilarious to react when dying from rebelling & hearing the CT who killed me response. I use my keyboard like 90% of the time when playing, but now, just gotta make it last when living. Wasn't gagging/kicking people who ghosted effective enough? Unless the reason is finding anything that makes players stay online more?

Yep, the only reason I started being active on the TS was to prevent myself from being ghosted.

There is ghosting on TS, but that's kinda the point! I think we're all in agreement here... dead chat is actually good. Despite the ghosting, it makes the game way more fun for everyone.

If a T is out of there cell during the time you say "Out of Cell, Rebel".. Then does that not make anyone out of their cell, well, a Rebel? Whoever said that is clearly in the wrong, as that's like saying any T in [insert area] is a Rebel, which is a perfectly valid order. However; if the T manages to open the cells before you say "Out of Cell, Rebel" or any other order, then they are perfectly safe as it would now be a Freeday.

Well you can just as easily report for abuse, because if thats what exactly happened, then that was a free slay and he should be punished.

Well, I don't want Aaron punished or anything. He was going off of what he thought was right. I don't care that he slayed me. I just think we need a revised MOTD and that any "new rule" should be brought to everyone's attention. Also, it should be in the MOTD that if a rule isn't in the MOTD then it can't be slain for. Even if a co-leader or whoever declares it as a rule in a thread.

I got freekilled by the warden because he thought I jumped when I didn't. Yet I could not tell him because he had killed me. It's very frustrating. The server population has already extremely diminished. Not from this problem but I don't think this helps that issue at all +1

But would it really be fair to say someone is a rebel for doing something that wasn't rebelling when they did it? Like doing something and then it becomes illegal to do, then you go to jail for doing it in the past.

Anyone who quotes something from the MotD Rules should be able to back-up whatever they say Before acting upon whatever it is they are doing/saying. Mod/Admin/Div Manager/Div, it doesn't matter, if you're going to quote something and say it's a rule, you better be 100% sure that it is a rule and be prepared to provide evidence. All in all, if you are unsure and you are having an argument in Admin Chat, bring it to a Div Manager or Div Leader, or better yet, co-operate on TeamSpeak and look at the MotD Rules. If it's not in there, you should come up with a solution that you both are happy with, not just one over the other. Also, I'm mentioning Aaron so that he is aware that it was a valid and justified order. As john posted, this has all been discussed before in Being out of cell... where it was concluded by Neo that the rule should be interpreted as "Alright, so if we don't make "out of cell rebel" implied, I just want to make sure this is what happens: 1) If a t escapes his cell before of out cell rebel is called, then that T should NOT be killed and allowed to freeze or return to their cell. If they are killed, then it is a freekill. (Assuming they left their cell without entering a vent, or doing anything else that would make them a rebel." It's like sending all the T's into soccer and saying "Being in soccer is now rebellious" and killing them all. Or as a proper example, it's like "jumping is noiw restricted" and then being shot in midair when you were already jumping. The CT who kills that T would be slain for it. The same thing happened to me yesterday also. 2 ts were going for the button and I killed both of them, but then they wouldn't shut up about freekill. It's not a freekill!

Just if someone can explain why we slay people who shoots T's in midair as jumping becomes restricted, that'll explain why I'm wrong on this too.

I think most of that is fair enough but if halfway through the round the warden says "Jumping is now restricted" as someone is jumping, and kills them for it, how is that different from saying "Out of cell rebel" when they are already out? We slay for the first but not the second.

It's technically right for you to warn him to go back. But I would like it if they were just killed. It seems so much funner as a Prisoner to run to open the cells and hoping you would make it before you die.

They're similar and different in ways, For example.. The T is jumping for fun and warden then restrict jumping and he get shot. They did not know the fact that he would restrict it. But as for being out of cell, The t is well aware that the order "out of cell you're a rebel" will be given but still take the risk to rebel. Therefore the first one will be slayed for because it could be overly abused and given no time to do anything, but the 2nd one has much time in the world to rebel or retreat to the cell from where they came from.

Meh. I'll stop punishing for it then since so many higher ups have said I'm not quite right, but until now, especially with being told by Neo, I'd say I've done nothing wrong. Love you all <3
