I don't think this would be realistically possible. xG doesn't have a lot of map makers, and I don't think the ones we do have would want to do something as difficult as this. This would take a lot more coding, mapping, and scripting than you think. You'd also have to find a way for each of those "game modes" to have their own restrictions and not overlap with another game modes restrictions. There's nothing stopping you from attempting something like this on your own time, though, I'd do more research to see if other servers have done this type of idea. Unfortunately I don't think a completely new and unique server would be the best idea anyway, keeping core community game-modes will generally keep population as they're already established and often-played.

To be honest we shouldn't be talking about populated servers here, they are populated because of how crappy you think they are and how cancerous you find them to be at times
, don't try to change that, otherwise you'll end up with a pretty dead server, vsh is the concrete exemple of that, the server was populated 24/7, some good choices were made to improve the server and it turns out they were bad for the population, and killed the server, also, we all have to admit that some servers were alive because of some specific regulars, members or staff, vsh was populated thanks to Bone and Hina, jb1 was populated too, I even remember there was a time when I couldn't join the server because it was full, and jb1 was alive thanks to some people, and died because of some others, (not gonna mention names, to avoid creating tension, but we all know what happened there), also one other thing;
Staff should learn to be friendly, help others, share knowledge and communicate more, especially with other staff member.

I believe so, having both towny and factions has never made any sense to me since they pretty much do the same thing but with different features. I personally prefer towny as it has always had more features and more options for town owners to utilize.

VSH is easy to populate and does have some population at times.

JB has also been regaining population during the past week(s), here's a screenshot taken from 2 minutes ago.

I know 8 people doesn't seem much, but it's fairly decent for this time.

I absolutely disagree about the community part, but yes, its population is fine.

Poketrade has a decent population, also community improvements are made by @Vexx and @Vixen right now. Quite frankly Poketrade's community is worse than TGH's, there's a lot of bind-spammers, lenny-spammers and micspam even done by regulars.

Used to be @mrnutty12's home, but it's been fairly dead recently, if we have to, we can change it to a different gamemode.

I do agree that it's not a lot, but hey, it's better than ZF or ware. People seem to be enjoying the walmart map.

It's pretty much dead, I personally enjoy playing it with a few real life friends every once in a while, but there's obviously no reason to keep it.

I'll add a sentence to the advertisements.txt that tells people to check out other servers by typing !servers or something similar, I'll do that tomorrow since I'm having a biology exam tomorrow and I gotta study for that today.

Vouching requirements will be nerfed as soon as @Aegean posts an announcement, we desperately look for more staff at all times, but it does not seem like anyone would be fitting right now.

easiest way to do that is to make a thread an tag all tf2 staff members, im currently dying to an illness and my grammar is shit so id love to see one of you do that @Goblins @mrnutty12

I have talked to Owl, and after talking to members on teamspeak and seeing the feedback on the forums that Towny Survival is the best way to go.
 
HG will not be priority, but it is gonna be worked on. Owl has said he will help me with Towny and our main goal will be to have a functional towny server, I just don't know yet if we want to implement some forms of MCMMO (disabling the combat forms to not make it unfair in the PVP arena and also prevent the possibility of abuse).

I would honestly talk to him asap and tell him to stop abusing, I believe everyone should get 1 warning and just be stern with him that he is on thin ice. Also tell him and make it clear to others on TF2 that you can not sell abilities or admin commands for credits. If anything else is done by him however minor after his warning that he should just be demoted for a period of time since it would be clear he can not handle the responsibility.

Since as of late I've been playing a bit of Minecraft with a small group of friends of mine, I do quite enjoy Towny as it does have a nice co-op feel to it. I don't really enjoy PvP myself though, I can see why others would like it.

Me and Owl already looked into minigames and servers that have minigames. Would not recommend having minigames for more than an event (especially hg/sg as it is not as popular compared to newer gamemodes).
 
The biggest issue is population. Low population can create boring and slow gameplay that minigames is not meant to have. Not only that, you need enough players that are willing to play the same gamemode. If we look at the recent hunger games event xG held, with 10-20 players, anyone who died early found themselves sitting in a waiting room for 5 to 10+ minutes. That is not very fun at all considering you don't have anything meaningful to do in game during the hang time. The large minigame servers have a big enough population to allow players to get into a new game within seconds. There's a reason there is only two big minigame servers.
 
Other than that you have to worry about the following:

Plugin configuration and compatibility.
Lack of uniqueness from out-of-the-box gamemode plugins.
Anti-cheat
Teaming in solo gamemodes (and all of the loopholing people will pull).
Incentive to play on the server (this applies to every type of server, but some more so than others).

Factions/Townie would be the way to go with the current foundation. However, the gamemode chosen should be the sole focus until the server is operational.

Good to hear @Stickz, I want to focus on minecraft right now anyways after terraria is out on friday, but I will definitely keep updated with you and if I don't find staff for GMOD TTT or Cinema then I'll help set it up if there's enough interest and we can go from there

I don't think it's about that. DarkRP servers just end up being the exact same as every other DarkRP server out there, unless you just load up a crap load of useless addons and make it confusing and laggy.
