We are not handing out channels rofl, a few members have paid 25 dollars for channels and we aren't going to be unfair to them.

    Updated the guide Teamspeak Rules

4 subchannel limit, and November 1st is the deadline to claim a community channel before it gets deleted.

I've said this before but idk if you have seen it.
I don't think you should -1 people if you don't know who they are or don't see them on unless you look at their activity log and see that they never play. Just because you dont see him on doesn't mean he's inactive, he could live in a different timezone.

    short version:
dont -1 for not seeing them on unless u look at their activity. Basically a cock block from getting member. Just leave it as a 0. (MY OPINION)

I do like the idea of giving benefits to active members through the raffle, but I don't know the exact functionality of the raffle system we got from Xenoforo, rhodo might have to code it a bit for that kind of functionality. Regardless I'm +1

I will be posting a full news thread to update for the month of October, including not only the benefits we have for staff on servers/forums, but also giveaways and contests with the community that include things like you suggested (: I'm more then happy to hear more suggestions for how to give away credits or fun things and I'm +1 with everything you posted

I will most likely do a combination of limiting sub channels of parent channels in the community section to like 4, and also remove channels that aren't claimed/in use. Making a forum thread that notes who owns what channel would be a great idea and I'll make it today @Dethman (: Please keep up the discussion, if anyone else has input they'd like to share please don't be shy!

this is the best idea of them all, it would definitely clean up team speak. We should have a forum thread or have noted somewhere of who owns a community channel.

    Edit:

So the whole thing stemmed from the issue of Egossi not removing his tags or making it obvious he's TF2 staff and not listening to Virr / Pepper when they asked to make it clear, and Egossi's defense was he didn't think it was a legit issue as there is no rule for staff to remove tags on other division's servers.

After discussing with both parties, All 3 admit they can handle it better. In the end, I think @Egossi needs to show a little more respect and understand when staff of another division are asking for tags to be removed, to understand their point of view and if he doesn't comply to ask for a higher up's opinion. And the other 2 @virr and @DrPepperPhreak can talk to higher ups to help with clarification on rules that aren't really written down if there's a dispute, and to show respect. Remember, it's a gaming community, you guys do not need to be on each others necks over such issues.

If you do ever want to play ranked, a thing that helps quite a lot of people is to type /mute @all at the beginning of the game. Prevents you from seeing other people's comments and allows you to focus on your own gameplay. I personally don't do it but I see the benefits for either option

So a thing I'd like to discuss is our gigantic volume of teamspeak channels and mainly their sub channels. I would like to reduce the amount of channels we have, and mainly make it so any community channel can have max 1-3 sub channels.

This thread is open for discussion, and I would like to hear the input from people who use the community channels.

yeah thats easier or you can just play normals. u dont have to play ranked.

to answer your question, yes. every game that has a very competitive ranked ladder comes with people who get very upset when they are losing. its just natural, it has nothing to do with the game specifically. people are like that in other games like overwatch and csgo. LoL just has a lot of people so you see it more often. you have to realize though that there are a ton of people who aren't crazily toxic as well. its a part of playing competitive team video games that you have to deal with teammates

Anyways the bans shouldn't have happened, esp without a warning. I will be adding a rule to not bump threads over 6 months old since there are many threads that aren't locked from the past and it removes gravedigging TROLLS.
Edit: I agree with owl that only the first person who gravedug should have been banned, but if it was bumped by the bump thread tool then just a warning would have been fine.

As it wasn't a rule to bump threads from so long ago you can get a refund on any threads that got removed that you bumped, but this day forth the rule will be in place.

The other comments will be discussed with the higher ups.

Banning the one who initially gravedug the thread is fine I guess, I wouldn't typically do it first offense, but you really aren't supposed to gravedig so it's fine.

However, it's absolutely unreasonable to ban those who posted in the thread AFTER it was gravedug. It's just unnecessary. There is no way that it's appropriate for any of our staff to ban users who just happened to be viewing the forums when someone happens to gravedig a post. Banning them is simply abusing power.

Just an open discussion involving the Raffle system as well as any other events made for the community.

Was wondering if there was any way to put restrictions on the Raffles? For instance, making Members who have a certain amount of posts (IE. 50+) eligible to enter up to 2 times in a Raffle, Members who have more than that (IE. 100+) are eligible to enter up to 3 times in a Raffle, etc. Is this something that could be worked into the current Raffle system? The reason behind bringing this up is two-fold:

Incentive for Members to be more active on our Forums
Discourages Players/Members from abusing the system by making multiple accounts for multiple entries

*Keep in mind that this would only apply to Raffles that yield pricey prizes and such, as we do not want to completely cut anyone who doesn't fit the criteria (could result in a decline in interest)

Another fun idea revolving around our TeamSpeak Server could involve a sort of 'Guessing Game' event wherein players would gather in a single TeamSpeak Channel (authoritative presence is mandatory to prevent mic spam, chat spam, etc) and the Host would either play a sample, song [short clip], or whatever and Players will have to guess what it's from (via text only). Prizes could include hub credits, etc. It goes without saying that the 'Host' will need to be using the proper set-up for maximum clarity of the sound clip.
