Aegean reacted to MineCrack in Snowyminion
What? I still don't see the insult, maybe you don't know what an insult is?
Snowyminion was responding to Rubidiums comment regarding the forum rating. There was no insult in that post.
The quote above was a direct response to Rubidiums quote bellow regarding the forum rating received from snowy (boring):
Every member in this community (including snowyminion) are entitled to their own opinions. There was nothing insulting or disrespectful regarding snowy's reply which enlightened Rubidium on why she received the rating.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=etmUFhHrZb8
What is #22KILL?
#22KILL is a global movement created by veterans with a mission to:
Raise awareness to veteran suicide and mental health issues such as PTS.
Educate the public about current veteran-related topics and issues
Recruit Veteran Advocates aka “Battle Buddies”
Support various partnered organizations who focus on veteran empowerment, mental health treatment, and other services for veterans and their families
Veteran Advocates aka “Battle Buddies” wear the #22KILL Honor Ring™ – a black band worn on the right index finger. By choosing to become part of Team #22KILL and wearing this ring, you are committed to:
Research and learn about your local veteran service organizations and what their missions and needs are
Focus on veteran strengths and challenge negative attitudes around veteran “issues”
Advocate for veterans in a positive light in any platform you have
Raise awareness to the issues of veteran suicide, and follow up with a positive solution through education and empowerment through programs offered from local nonprofits and veteran service organizations
Believing that veterans are America’s greatest asset and learning to love them and show them that you care
The Honor Ring™
The Honor Ring™ is a black band worn on the index finger as a “silent salute” to all veterans, past and present. This ring is a symbol of respect and simply says that you support those who have served our country. This support can extend even beyond the military to include police, firefighters, and EMS. As a part of the #22KILL community, the ring is also a reminder to us as veterans and veteran supporters that we are never alone; that we are all family.
History of #22KILL:
Honor Courage Commitment, Inc. started the #22KILL movement in 2013 after learning about the staggering statistic that an average of 22 veterans are killed by suicide every day. HCC has committed to researching and understanding the genesis of this epidemic, and educating the general public on the issue. #22KILL is a platform to raise awareness not just towards veteran suicide, but also to the issues that can lead them to suicide. These mental health issues can stem from Post Traumatic Stress, Traumatic Brain Injury, or the struggles and stresses of transitioning from military to civilian life.
The solution is veteran empowerment. One of the biggest challenges veterans face is finding a sense of purpose after service. #22KILL directly supports veteran empowerment programs that help veterans maximize their talents and understand their value outside of the military. #22KILL also continually provides support for other veteran organizations, treatment centers, and community events and projects.

In all honesty you did know the rules and you did the wrong thing.

Aegean reacted to MineCrack in Oreocooki3 - Counter-strike
You blatantly broke a rule in order to gain an advantage over others through cheating. No one forced you to do this, you chose to cheat through using scripts on xG servers yourself. By doing so, you knew fully the consequences and the consequence is a ban. This thread seems pretty irrational.

Aegean reacted to Forest in Xenogamers Community Feedback Survey
For future reference (and just as a suggestion), you may want to consider a section that caters to a specific Division for more accurate results.
For example:
Question - Which of the following Divisions do you spend the most time in? *This will apply to any specific questions regarding Division following this question.
- TF2
- CSGO
- Gmod
- Nuclear Dawn
- Minecraft
It will help narrow down the problem areas instead of a general opinion on the entirety of Servers since a large portion of our Players/Members tend to stick to one particular Division. It will also give the Higher-Ups an easier time to determine/address the problem areas directly.
I'd also suggest including a "Not Applicable" option for some of these questions so that those who take the survey can select the proper option and the results will not give any false positives; meaning that if a user is not familiar with any of the provided options, they can opt out of the question by selecting Not Applicable.

Lets be honest here. You are extremely toxic. You are constantly trolling, spamming chat/mic or being an ass to other players in game. Eventually it gets to the point where other players can't be nice to you because you treat most regulars on our servers like complete shit. You average something like 3 mutes a day, which is completely insane.
You've had plenty of warnings, but for some reason you just don't get it. Staff tries to be as transparent and unbiased as possible, but when the majority of the community is tired of the way you act, you are going to get more attention from staff compared to any other user that breaks the occasional rule or two.
You are welcome back in a month, hopefully you've cooled down a bit if you decide to.

Alright well I think this topic is over and done with, as no one is adding anything more to the conversation then what has already been said. People keep mentioning that we shouldn't ban the word outright or not let people say autist or autism which isn't what we proposed at all, so you guys don't need to worry.
@Rabid I dunno why you're acting like you have a 0 tolerency for the N word all of a sudden when Mince says FUCK YOU NIGG*R sometimes as a joke in our channel and we all laugh and you've never once opened your mouth about it, or all the racist shit we used to say to Jerome as a joke? All of a sudden the other people are frail little white children who don't care about people they offend and they just sling the N word around? Give me a break. Also you're saying exactly what they were trying to discuss, calling an idiot an Autist (when there are legitimate people diagnosed with autism) because you are insulting that said idiot is demeaning to people with autism and that is what this whole conversation is about. You are using their mental condition as a form of insult. I'm not saying by any means I have not used autistic in the past as an insult towards others but that is why this conversation is good to have.
Our disrespect rule in my opinion protects our members quite well, and I will discuss with the higher-ups and also be pretty active in our TF2, CS:GO and Minecraft division servers and see if there is an issue, and if I do find something or hear something from the other staff then we can bring this topic to light again at another time. I appreciate everyone's feedback, and just a little message to everyone, when there are differing opinions, you can give feedback after putting yourself in the other person's shoes instead of thinking your way is the only way.

xG already has a no disrespect rule. If someone is being offended by a derogatory term that is said towards them, that person can always notify staff in admin chat.
"Autistic" or any varient of the word should not be restricted due to the simple fact it will lead to restricting every little thing that offends people or that people find disrespectful. This is why the disrespect rule was put in place among other reasons to cater to such situations.

Aegean got a reaction from Egossi in Xg] Wario - Counter-strike
Rofl why even mention such a thing with that tone, he's clearly been here for almost a year regardless, and some people apply for mod after a few months of being on the server considering it's not a requirement to be in the servers a year+ for a mod app. It's a mod request and if he's been here for 2 years or even 10 years, it has no reflection on if he would be a good moderator or not.
Why not just let the people who see him and play with him comment about it instead? I wouldn't even mind if you mentioned how long he's been in our servers and corrected him if you had also talked about if he is a good member in our servers or if he would be a good mod but instead you leave with 0 input, and just call him out on something so trivial.

Honestly, I can see why this is an issue and can certainly commend those of you who are fighting to get proper enforcement on this sort of content; however, as with any other 'derogatory' word/slur, there are certain limitations on what should and shouldn't be censored.
My one and only grievance with this whole thing is the fact that people are treating the use of the phrase "autistic" or "autist" as an insult, when it really isn't. By choosing to censor or effectively ban the word, you're inadvertently supporting this stigma that being called "autistic" is a bad thing. So long as this isn't the case and Staff will just be keeping an eye out for the misuse of the term (IE. using the term in a mocking way or intending to use it as an insult) I can get behind regular enforcement of it.
That being said, since this is relevant to the topic at hand, Staff should also keep an eye out for any other derogatory or otherwise disrespectful banter including topics that may be sensitive to others on the Servers. This includes any other mental illnesses, recent (or even past) tragedies, etc; which should already be the case :coffee:

As I've stated, we will not be banning the word outright, and not treat it exactly like if people say nigge* or chin* but if people see others using autistic in a demeaning way towards others and or spamming the word we can just tell them that we don't want people to be uncomfortable. We won't be strict about it but acknowledge it's not encouraged in our servers.
I have friends with mild autism and as such I understand that if they are uncomfortable they don't talk about it, it's not because they are scared or worried and they wouldn't just randomly sound depressed that's part of the issue of the mental condition which is why if you read the previous posts @Warriorsfury you would know why this discussion is even taking place.
