In light of recent events. This is for discussion for the CS:S community. I want all of your input.We currently CT ban permanently for 3 freekills. However, I think permanently banning people who UNINTENTIONALLY mass freekill is a waste of a perfectly good CT. Most of us have made a mistake and been ct banned before. You know how it feels to be CT banned for messing up.
I propose that we change the length of an UNINTENTIONAL mass freekill to 2-3 weeks. This would save us the trouble of having to just unban the people who mess up.
Whether you +/-1, give a reason. Give your opinion. If you think it should work some other way tell me.
I already only ban people for 1 week when they unintentionally freekill more than 2 people because I'm not stupid and I have that thing called common sense... you should try and get some :)
Matsi that's called abuse. We have set times we are required to ban them for. That's not exactly common sense. Freekilling 3 t's is a mass freekill and is a permanent CT ban. No less.

I do not deny i did freeslayed him. I didn't hear him say jumping was restricted and he killed me. I did not gag him for arguing with me about the freeslay, I gaged him for dissrespect. I said I was sorry it was an accident but then after i say that, he says "Wow new mod freeslayed me, What a fucking idiot" I count it as disrespect so i gaged him.Actually he said "Wow this fucking new mob is bad. Fucking freeslays"
That isn't disrespect.... you're all fucking badmins! Fucking Freegags!
If he found it to be disrespectful which it was, then he can gag. Also, not to mention the fact he started disrespecting more once the round started over voice chat.
But once again, it's better to ask why they killed you rather than just slay them. Unless you are absolutely sure it was a freekill.

What is not considered disrespect
- The frustrated occasional cuss words. Everyone gets annoyed when playing video games.
- Arguing over map choice.
- Attempting to state your opinion in a non-malicious way. Swearing is not malicious in anyway.
As Forest has stated... no shit he was pissed off and continued afterwords when the next round started... he just got freeslayed by a badmod that wasn't paying attention and then invalidly gagged... I would be pissed off too...

You do know it's possible to be banned by SMAC accidentally? Go on a server and have your mouse scroll speed set up to the highest speed you can set it without using an auto scroller or macro, or use mwheelup and mwheeldown to jump. Scroll too fast it thinks you're cheating and bans you.I would say the number of times he's been banned before is overkill, but there is a chance he didn't cheat; that it was just SMAC thinking he was.
I agree with this... and I believe that no matter how stupid humanity has become... someone would hopefully be smart enough to remove any scripts they WERE using after the 4th or 5th ban lololol

+1 for unban now, not reduce to another week, he's already been banned for 2 weeks all for killing some teammates with a door...LOL! Pretty sure he should have only gotten a slay, maybe a day ctban at most for it...

How did they have "No way of knowing?" they would have been looking at the stack of Ts as well...
They even say in this thread that they were freekills...
he shot into a stack killing about 6 or 7 ts and some of them were still on the spray the division leader and 2 admins that were on at that time told me to ban him so i did 1 week ct ban seems fair for what he didIn total of what I saw, he killed 4+ Ts. I gave the order to stack up on my spray. The majority of the Ts that were killed[i was watching with a scope] still had their feet and part of their bodies on the spray,[basically standing half on, half off, my spray.] which technically counts as being on my spray. A couple weren't, but still 3 were killed.I say it should stay at a week.

@Everyone - If he can't actually get unbanned (I said this in a previous post), it should be shortened to a day(Currently, it's a week). Mainly, because of the fact that the people discussing the ban didn't even know how many Ts were killed, they based it off of "Oh, he COULD have freekilled." He's already been banned for about a day, so change his week ban to a day and its a 2 day ban (Thats only if this were to go through today.)
Being a dick... IE killing a bunch of people that accidentally aren't following the order to the letter... it's also hard to see a spray on the floor when you are stacked up with people, let alone figure out which of the multiple sprays belong to the person saying to stack on theirs... if you're going to do this you should run a demo so that when/if someone see's/thinks you freekilled and bans you you will have proof otherwise.
As for the "why they banned him if they didn't see it" thing... it sounds as if they were sure of at least 1 freekill, and agreed together that there were others as well. If there is no proof otherwise, there's really no reason to believe one person over the other, but the people with the higher rank get the say, and it looks like they said it was multiple freekills and thus a ban...

I don't think it should be allowed. Choosing Race as an LR option shows up in chat to the CTs "<name> has chosen race, watch for where the start and end points are". This technically would initiate LR.Until it says "Shadowspy has chosen to do .... with ..." my LR didn't officially start, If you think I shouldnt do it I wont but as of right now theres not actually a rule against it. The rule is against doing an lr with someone then rebelling.

Well I asked twice if they were supposed to be on Darkwolf's spray and I aimed a spray length's away and shot everybody, making sure they were not freekills, but, see how that worked is everybody thought I fk'dSo what did we learn from this?

Alright so this yesterday, everyone was having a grand old time on jb_avalanche. The warden ordered us all to "shift walk to the bottom of cell STAIRS," and I as a massive prick, started wandering aimlessly yelling "Tarp!" because there's a ramp, not stairs.However, after I was inevitably freekilled, I talked to Warriorsfury asking for the warden to be slain for tarping before 5 and freekilling. Warrior said that stairs and ramp are one and the same and that it was basically right so don't get mad.
I'm not mad (I'm pretty mad) but I want Warrior to be wrong so could anyone clear up this rule?
My understanding is that stairs = ramp and ramp = stairs so long as both are not present such as in the castle guard map which isn't even on the CS:S and i can't think of one that has both off the top of my head right now.

Honestly, I find it best to just announce I am rebel hunting either way. It covers you if the T asks.I do that and/or say something like "One just went to *place i saw them go*" and then chase them
@@xShadowSpyx Rebel HUNTING and chasing a rebel are different things... also it would be stupid if you see a rebel run away and you have to stop to type out you are chasing them, and by that time they are long gone...

This server does not allow baiting. This includes both Ts knifing CTs that are too close and CTs being too close to Ts. If you are killed for knifing a CT that was too close to you it is not a freekill. A CT cannot go into a cell with a T in front or near it. If a CT is intentionally running through Ts, or standing within knifing distance they will be slain/teambanned. Notify a mod/admin about a baiting CT by typing @Baiting in team chat and if possible the CT’s name and a small explanation.

Funny you're saying he has downs when he's right. You HAVE to ban them perm if they mass, NO MATTER WHAT, whether it be the circumstance, or the person, must be perm. They can protest it and get it shortened, but they must be originally perm or it is abuse. If you don't like the admin handbook's rules, dont be a mod, because you have to follow it's rules, and ban lengths.
There's NOTHING in the admin handbook that says you HAVE to ban someone perm for mass freekills... the only thing it says it a list of the ONLY THINGS you ARE ALLOWED to perm someone for.... so maybe YOU should read it before you try and reply to my posts again. :)
