  2. On one hand, friendly making people transparent is annoying because this is a war themed hat simulator after all. I need muh hats visable!

On the other, it is really easy to troll with friendly + normal colors.

What about if we made people change to an odd color (eg. purple or turquoise) instead of go transparent? We have the plugins to do either individually, it should be possible to make it happen.

And then make a rule against coloring normal because it is still really trollish.

  3. Yeah I never have considered the above spawn area as part of spawn since you have to go out of your way to end up there (as there are no spawn points up there) in the first place. Now, shooting down from there is a different problem, but I think it is absurd to punish people for being up in the specified above spawn areas shooting other people in said areas.

Cptele rules in general are hard to police in the first place, I would be down with trying removing the ones dictating where you can put them.

BTW I will be out of town the next 4ish days.

  4. Shouldn't be a rule now since we have the new member application system.

I would agree with you but the member submission guidelines were updated as of 4/3/17. Considering it was edited with the new system in mind, I think it is still relevant to vouches.

  5. -1 Am i allowed to -1 over activity? Im guessing so. I have literally never seen you on the surf server.

    A:0

    M:?

The vouching rules say no -1ing over activity.

    -Snip-

When vouching +1/-1s for any applicant - please consider the following:

    • Is he/she active?.
    • Does he/she listen to rules or admin directive when given? Or disrespect & break rules?
    • Is he/she fun to play with?
    • Be respectful with your comments.
    • Why you feel the user should or should not become a member.
    • Include maturity(M) and activity(A) ratings on a scale from 1 - 10.
    • You are not to -1 any member you have never interacted with, hearsay / inactivity is not a valid reason.

  6. I normally have time on weekdays between 4:00 pm and 10:00 pm

Saturdays it has to be before 1:00 pm and Sundays after that same time.

All times are in CST of course (UTC -6). And I will not be available on Easter (and good Friday) so please don't schedule it then.

  7. The DL's can remove anyone's title from their Hub inventory, so the demotion thing should not be much of a problem. As for the idea that it's for hiding yourself, most staff members should know when to hide themselves anyway in certain situations. The idea I'm going for is just more freedom with your name without the tags needing to be involved. The problem is, a lot of people get confused as to what the tags mean, I get asked almost every day what the tags stand for, and I believe this could clear up any confusion by simply having "server mod" and "server admin" next to their name instead of a tag that they might not know.

My point with demoted staff potentially keeping their titles was that it has happened before and could at some point happen again.

Anyways, what about the staff that primarily use voice chat to communicate with the people? If they didn't have the tags in their name the chat title really wouldn't affect much. If we only made some staff wear tags because they prefer to communicate via voice chat then we have a consistency issue that would cause even more confusion to the people who don't know in the first place since, in this scenario, some staff do wear tags in the name whilst others only use a chat title.

Overall I think that it should be one or the other because a mix just causes confusion, and I think the more universally applicable staff identification method is the one that should be used.

  8. I will always be in favor of keeping the tags in steam names, I think it is easier to identify who is staff should people need help with something (outside of calladmins) and generally I think it looks more professional than just the titles (besides people having to use the chat for anyone to even know if they are staff). Plus we could have situations like when Rejects was running about with a DL title after he had been demoted for activity reasons.

I do understand the idea that rule breakers who have two brain cells that rub together realize what the tags mean and thus know when to stop being a problem. However, the staff can use the /stealth command to potentially fake out the person(s) in question.

  9. Isn't invisible aimbot where even if you miss the shots hit them? If that's what it is -1

I believe the term is silent aim, wherein the user's screen appears normal but their aim is altered by the client to tell the server they scored a hit.

Anyways, -1 based on Vac's video; wasn't even aiming at the scout.

  10. I would be ok with all three of the nominations, though I haven't really seen anybody else worth mentioning for mod. I have seen all three around on the servers, and I have no concerns about any of them.

As for an admin promo, I agree with @Vexx thaugh besides Vac's trouble with the English language (he is getting better though!) he has a problem with nonstandard bantimes and suchnot, however besides that I think he is a pretty good choice for admin. Because of that I would say go ahead with Bonfire as an admin first.
