There are a few maps that are strongly frowned upon on the servers, one of them being trade_pso_seabed_v2. While I understand that everyone has their own opinions on everything, this map is just all in all disliked on a widespread scale. It is just hallway upon hallway to the point of being unable to find anyone at all and doesn't capture that exploring aspect that Hyrule does as it is literally only hallways. I would personally like to see it removed and I would like to see what other people think ^^

The Direct Hit is definitely not as good as the stock rocket launcher, cow mangler or original. However, it's a hell of a lot of fun to use! I personally like using the Rocket Launcher as I enjoy using what is competitively the most viable and also I got my strange one a long time ago

In all honesty I really feel like Caribou has come far since his days of ManlyDuck. I've been one of his closest friends since then and I know how bad he was back then  (evident from how I banned him so many times). However, comparative to then, I feel like he has come such a long way. Obviously there have been a few hiccups and I know there were a few when he was under the Caribou alias, but I feel like a lot of people have had moments like that, myself included. 

I much preferred the friendly aspect of Towny where you could build what you wanted without fear of it being destroyed. It was nice to try out factions but I think it's proven that Towny would probably be more suited +1

A lot of people were breaking rules on the server, though it did seem like @Vargas was quite occupied with other things and he was misinformed about the !calladmin rules. Mistakes happen raysShrug

Honestly this kind of thing happens on the regular, so if he was going to get anything I would suggest a 60 minute ban or him to be warned about it.

But do not pester them with constant nagging about said promotions" Basically saying every once in a while (2 or more promotion cycles in the case of xg and being on the internet, longer in the case of real life), ask a few questions about it and see what kind of constructive feedback can be garnered. but if you are asking about it every other day or even 1 a week, the thoughts behind your application/request will gradually (or quickly) go from "this person wants to be promoted/do more" to "this person is needy/demanding/needs to get over themself.

Yeah, I definitely agree. It's such a shame though because a lot of people were getting very desperate and at points malicious when they were rooting for @Ms.Spooks to get promoted. I can't imagine how annoying that would have been. It's completely fine to do recommendations but I could see a lot of people going so over the top and to say things like "this clan is fucking stupid" and "are we fucking serious" when promo/demo comes out and said person doesn't get promoted. This isn't a shot at anyone, but it would be nice to see some support that doesn't bother the higherups. It felt like a similar situation to the whole "tatost for admin" thing that lots of people kept being extremely obnoxious about

Alright then, how about this? DM/DL ____ says "I don't see you on servers very often", so the appropriate response is "Oh, well then screw it, I quit"?

How about instead you find that higher up in a game on our servers and join it and maybe play with them a bit? You know, show them you're alive? Do this a few times and "I don't see you" becomes "Hey, you're pretty active!"

 

Standing out doesn't mean wearing a lime green Scout set and hitting people with a pan, it means showing a lot of initiative and potential with being staff. When the time comes for promo/demo, staff would be able to say "Hey, you know Mod ____? They do a really good job, they're active, and they're super mature, we should promote them"

TLDR: The "higher" you get on the ladder, the more you have to humble yourself because you basically get more bosses and more people who depend on you.

 

 

 

I'm gonna stop you there. No, it isn't. It's to make sure the candidate is able to handle the job, not only in a responsibility way, but in various personal ways. For example: I've been a Mod 3 times, Admin once, and DM once, if I reapplied for staff right now I'd probably get Probationary Mod for the sole reason that my work requires a weird schedule so activity is tough for me. Would I care? No, because even I know that's something I'd have to work on and improve.

 

For the most part, I agreed with you until I read this:

 

If you truly felt there was a huge amount of bias against you then, you know...

 

Talk to the Higher ups, find out why they may not feel you're ready for promotion or why you aren't promoted yet, and if the reason is "Ehh, I just don't like you". Then work to change their mind and prove them wrong. If you felt it was more extreme than that, then contact someone even higher than them, tell them you feel biased against by DL ___ or DM ____.

 

And final note: You coulda posted all of this without stepping down, or by talking to the higher ups to bring these points to their attention. They'll listen, they aren't gonna bite. Worded the way it is, your post sounds more like the ramblings of a disgruntled employee rather than a concerned community member, but do whatever you feel is necessary. If you ever decide to come back, you're always welcome.

The thing is, she did talk to the higherups about it and I personally believe she was very qualified for admin, especially considering that she was admin before. From what I heard, she didn't really get anything to improve on other than things like "you need to stand out more", but why should you stand out? If you're not doing anything to stand out, couldn't that be a good thing since that means there's not really much negative going on? And why does it matter if someone doesn't stand out? If they do their job well, then that should be good enough to get a position.

Also the thing about the whole magical position thing is how it feels to her, not how it's actually meant to be. I agree that it's meant to be a position that you earn and that it's for more experienced staff and whatnot, but how I think she's trying to say that that's not how it is

If you were on the server at the same time as staff, it's not calladmin abuse. I thought we went over this, and if I'm not mistaken there should not have been a ban issued. +1

Seeing your health/ammo should only be a problem if you're two centimeters from the screen. But some people are closer to their screen than I am, so I guess I can see where you're coming from.

It's still faster to see it regardless of how far away you are, plus you can still keep your eye on the center of the screen at the same time much easier.

Honestly not sure about this one since we already have two mario kart maps, but, out of all the mario kart maps I've seen, I think that this is the best one.

One of the things I find a little bit concerning about this map is the fact that one of the songs basically about pedophilia.

I don't think the song being about pedophilia should be a huge issue, there's lots of songs about really controversial topics which are really good. KoRn - Trash, for example

Otherwise, I'm not really too sure about how I feel about another mario kart map personally since we already have one that looks very very similar to this. Unsure.

I think my favourite effect would be Sulphurous or Sunbeams, but I do really want a Cauldron Bubbles Tossle Cap but I really can't be bothered to work to it since unusual trading is boring as heck D:

stock hud is better than any of the bullshit that people try to make. All of the good huds have stopped getting updates

Stock hud is disadvantageous in so many ways to having a proper, custom hud. For example, health being closer to the center makes it easier to see your health first off.

I like all of them but the first and last one. Last one is ear piercing and the first one isn't my type of music but it does have a nice beat to it.

Yeah the last one is an xG meme song, there's a jailbreak map that has this exact song earraping the server.
