When people say "bring back old xG" but they haven't even been here for a year ?

@Caleb956 and I were on Surf when TAOW went on an alt and started using slurs and being generally toxic, of which we banned him for a month. OP was then eventually permed for multiple bans on trolling. It is sad to see a regular get permed and I've personally never had anything against you. However, according to your ban history, you have had a serious history of trolling and being generally toxic. Clearly, there is no improvement to be shown as you have been banned multiple times for very similar issues. Despite that, I don't see any harm in giving a second chance. Like with the Brian ban protest, there's no harm in giving a final chance and if the OP makes the same mistakes, the ban will be more permanent. +1 for unban. TAOW has apologized and see no harm in giving an extra chance. The two months or so he's been permed, he's bound to have learned something. Should he step out of line AT ALL, perm on sight.

I personally completely disagree with the addition of any kind of command that gives you in game items that other people have had to pay for. People have spent countless hours, pounds/dollars/whatever to obtain some of these TF2 items. The very definition of a massive middle finger is to add free item commands.There's a server I've been on a few times when xG isn't populated and they have a command that can give you Australiums, Unusuals, taunts, etc, to use on their server, yet it is the number one thing that turns me away from playing there. Not to mention that the taunt command is a feature of being a donator. Making perks that people have previously paid for into perks that anyone could have is a big no zone because people have, once again, paid real life money in order to get these perks (or just to straight up support the clan). Making these perks into regular player commands would highly encourage players to think twice about donating as they would be constantly under the fear that the perks they have paid for would end up as a regular player perk. Massive -1 from me.

We once did a TF2 6v6 after a CS:GO scrim and whilst there were mostly TF players, it was actually really fun. I would 100% recommend giving it a go and if you don't like it, then you know for if there's a next time ? no harm in trying it. We have a Stock Map Rotation Server which we could lock to 12 people and you could host it with captains like you do with CS, maybe?

Shwash is genuinely one of the nicest people I know. Being staff multiple times before, he 100% knows what he's doing and how to handle situations. My only concern is activity and whether he'll get bored of TF2 again. Apart from that, big boy +1 over here

I think you make a great point. I won't name anyone, but there has definitely been a few staff members in the history here that have been extremely questionable and with community input it is very likely that they wouldn't have gotten staff in the first place. A requirement to make a staff submission would ensure that the community has an input as well and would very likely result in us having the best staff roster to date. However, there are specific rules towards applying for staff which would result in there being fewer people available for staff. Here is the link to the staff submission guide: For one, it states you must be 14 or over to apply. There has been a staff member or two who at least got staff whilst being under 14. One I can name is @Segal. If you had to apply for staff rather than getting "invisibly promoted", Segal would've not gotten staff. Secondly, (this only applies for TF2) you must have at least 50 forum posts. I'm sure there have been MULTIPLE staff members in the past that have had pretty much one forum post when they got it, that post being their member submission. If these restrictions were altered, I think it would be fantastic to have a community input onto who gets staff. However, I feel as though the Division Leaders and Managers should still get final say as to whether the member gets staff or not, rather than a +1 and -1 system like we have with the member submissions. Remember guys, whilst saying your thoughts may or may not affect the overall outcome, there is no harm in getting a community input and should only aide the higherups in making their decision.

Whilst I can see why on TF, at least, we don't allow talking about politics, I really think that it should be treated like a normal discussion. Can't keep your cool and get mad during the discussion? Get that mute/ban on. I'm not sure about there being a whole channel dedicated to politics, but I definitely think we should be more lenient on the topic as a whole.

The good old days where you get permed for saying "kys". Let's also not forget how if you said "perm me no balls" you'd get permed instantly. God, I miss it.

I enjoy being part of something. A community. I enjoy meeting lots of people, all of similar interests to me and playing games with them, even if it's not a game we have as a division. Honestly, I've met so many great people here, I've seen many people come and go, so many people turn their back. But overall, being a part of this whole community is my favourite thing.

Eh, to be honest neither of you can say that xG is in its best place when neither of you have been round for more than 2 years. I would even struggle to say it myself, playing the servers since 2013 and joining in 2014. Oldfags would 100% say like 2011-2013. It's all subject to opinion. Yeah, it's better than it was, in my opinion, to the end of last year. But you've gotta have experienced the whole thing or at least a large time here to really say when the best time was. Regardless, this is irrelevant to the thread ?

I mean, she was fantastic staff and I fail to see what negative outcomes there may be should be get staff again. If you feel as though she is undeserving of staff, please talk to a higher up or make an abuse thread, should she get staff again, should she want staff again.

I mean I think 90% of xG doesn't wanna see constant furry porn and ponies with giant dicks in their mouth, but hey. I don't know about you guys, but I'd rather see questionable things.
