This seems like a fun plugin for surf. Could we add it?
Also due to the recent overload of people spawnkilling on surf, could we consider increasing the spawn-protection (sm_spawnprotect_timer) time?

I just want to mention as well guys, I'm not expecting to get DM the minute I come back. I am HARDLY qualified at this time. Rules have changed. I've been gone a while. All I'm saying is that I feel I had some good changes and led the TF2 Div well when I was DM. And I miss all the fun we had and the people I met. Some of my best friends in xG came from me being on servers. Like @kbraszzz and his lispy warden on jailbreak. I've only had good memories as staff and now that my life has improved for the better, I want to return to it

I have been playing on the xG servers for a long time. I don't know how many hours for sure, but the number above is a guess to how long. To be honest, it might be a little low. I started on TF2 JB around 2 years ago and the community has always been great. I now go on the TF2 servers quite often nowadays when I can get on, and i have made friends who are also xG. This is by far my favorite community, and I would do what is in my ability to make it even better than it is. I have also wanted to be apart of this community for a long time, about a year after I found the JB server. I have never wanted to be a part of a group until xG. That is why i want to be apart of xG.

Here's my opinion. I've been playing with him for the past couple weeks and I don't think he's that bad of a guy. He uses that dry, punchy, satire-ish sense of humour that normally "triggers" people now-a-days. I mean look at that girl on youtube, Nicole Arbour?, who got attacked because her sense of humour.
 
A few people hold grudges against him, and I have no clue why, as I skipped over half of this thread because it appeared to be bickering. However, I'd assume that it's because he's good at the game and it frustrates people, or the fact that he says "rekt" or whatever. Now, I wont name names, but I'd like to point out that at least half of you have done the same thing (whether it be retaliating, saying something rude after killing someone, or "triggering" someone because you're good at a game) and have little to no room to say that he should just hold his tongue in return.
 
People have a habit now-a-days of not communicating their issues with people, but instead gathering up mountains of evidence to make the issue at hand seem worse. I thought everyone was going to make an effort to change that and actually try to communicate their issues before hand, rather than jumping aboard the ban train at a moments notice.

Now, here is what I have seen lately. I was on the pokemon server earlier this week, and I noticed something peculiar. ManlyDuck was on the server sniping, as well as talking to a few friends like a normal person would, when someone joined the server and started to attack him, without provocation. They said that he was a douchebag and a tryhard. The ironic thing is that ManlyDuck said nothing offensive back to them, nor had he said anything rude in the few hours earlier to that incident. If anything, he only said that he was bad and just playing the game.
 
From my perspective, it appears that people are getting upset when he kills them (when numerous people have complained that we should literally have a rule that says if you complain, and don't use the friendly plugin, that you will get into trouble).

Relevant to this thread, but also applying to the general population of Staff Submissions, there seems to be this misconception that the period of time between a Staff submission and the next promo/demo is sufficient activity enough. It isn't really in my place, and I'm in no position to really be talking, but do keep in mind that when referring to activity, it's activity over the course of an extended period of time both in and outside of the Staff submission taking place.
 
What I mean by this is simply that someone could go hard over the course of say, a week, up until the next Promo/Demo. Activity looks promising, so he/she ends up being promoted. The problem here is that once that person has been promoted, they may no longer feel obligated to have that activity remain consistent with the time they put into the Server prior to being promoted.
 
My suggestion [to any applicants] is to just play whenever you have the time to do so, don't spruce up your application with so-and-so amount of hours that you only put in to gain their (Higher-Ups) attention or otherwise wouldn't put that much effort into moderating to begin with. The only thing achieved out of putting a large amount of hours in is demonstrating that you have a lot of free time, thereby making you a target if you happen to be "inactive" (which will differentiate between Staff). When you put a lot of hours in say, a week (that you normally don't do), what this says about you is "Hey, I'm super active in this Division and I plan on being this active after receiving a Staff position too."
 
Obviously this doesn't apply to those who genuinely play such and such hours weekly, but more-so to those who claim to be active when they're simply proving that they can be. The biggest distinction here is that a [staff] Member should be active, not can be active.

So I've been having a more regular schedule and the matchmaking beta has been making me want to play more tf2. I got super burnt out and basically played only CS:GO for the last couple of months but I needed that and it's over. The problem is whenever I join the servers now it's been pretty rough and I haven't been able to do much about it. So I want to be server staff again. I really have no interest in being a higher up again though, so while I realize the tf2 div is in a tight spot management wise I'm not the hero we need. I just want the servers to good because I do still care about this place. I probably won't be on ts as much as I used to, but I could come whenever asked. I'd be sure to meet the requirements for activity even though I haven't been playing as much lately, I'd just play less CS:GO. Plus I'm on steam all the time so if I'm called I could be there.

For a few months now, my interest in TF2 has hindered and recently I've been caught up in work and other time-consuming activities. Frankly, I don't have the time to keep up my hours and stay as a staff member and I've noticed that whenever I'm able to play, nobody is online. (Enough) People get on later than what I can do. Therefore, I'm afraid I will be stepping down from Moderator. I may attempt to get staff again in the future, but probably not for quite a while. I will still be staying in the clan and will pop on every now and then, just like I do normally. Sorry everybody <3
