I feel this thread doesn't really have a purpose anymore as the Badges guide would be a good place for discussion.
 
Just my opinion, up to you though x3

oh my, this is quite a bit.

I was looking though the guides, and I noticed a few things we might want to update, so I thought I'd pick them out and put them in a nice list.
 
These are just suggestions, the purpose of this thread is to provide a convenient list of suggestions for the staff whom are able to edit the website in order to update our guides. I do not suggest rule changes/edits. I only point out inconsistencies between the rule lists which may be confusing staff and players (and me!).

They are listed in same the order they appear on the guides list page.
 
Hopefully, these potential guide edits will help clear up recent confusion about the rules people have displayed on the forums, as most of these suggestions have to inconsistencies between server rules guides.

Trolling is unallowed. (The definition of trolling is to the discretion of the moderator, and can include intentionally being annoying, antagonizing players, impersonation of staff members, spoiling the ending of games or movies, etc.)

✏ This is missing from FF2 rules
✏ This simply "looked down upon" in the Surf rules? Do we allow trolling or discourage it?

Keep all trades to typed chat only, unless you are on a designated trade server.

✏ Shouldn't this be in all the server rule guides like FF2 and Surf where it's missing?
✏ Why is this rule in the rule-list for what is literally a designated trade server lol :ROFLMAO: But really, it's just confusing when listed on this guide.

Scamming in any way, shape, or form is a heinous notion, and will be met as such within our servers. If you wish to report a scammer, please contact a staff member immediately.

No Random Trading. Please have the common courtesy to work out a deal with someone in chat before sending a trade request. It will not be tolerated.

✎ In other server rules guides, the general rules are often listed. Why not copy/past them into here as well? Just for easy reference.
✏ Don't forget that rules involving mic usage would have to be removed after pasting them in, as you cannot voice-chat in MC.

✎ "Gain advantage" could easily include using /dis to become something like a bat, which has a small hitbox, and is difficult to see. Even though the disguise is busted in one hit, it's still somewhat of an advantage. Is this allowed?
✏ If not, maybe a few examples should be added to this rule, such as: "e.g: no disguising just before entering PvP"

Racism and sexism is frowned upon in our servers, using it excessively or in an insulting manner is not allowed at all. IF a mod or higher warn you to stop (by gagging, muting or simply messaging you) , you must stop. This is the first and only warning you get and it must be in this manner. If you do say something racist or sexist, it must be very minimal and not in an offensive way and if not stopped after a warning, you will be punished severely. The person these comments are directed to and any staff member can at any time state that these are offensive and you must stop immediately.

✏ According to other rule lists, racism (sexism is often not even listed) is not tolerated. Here it is 'frowned upon'?
✏ Huh, maybe mentioning that you are in fact allowed to say sexist/racist things that are very minimal and not offensive on other rule lists would be a good idea. I mean, what if someone says something racist/sexist, but it's satire? Seems like thats why this rule is explained in a full paragraph, but why not so on other rule lists?

If you are a staff member (mod, admin, etc) and you are on an xG server that you have powers in, you MUST wear your admin tags in your STEAM NAME, this is no exception, failure to follow this rule will lead to a demotion. [undercover admin is the exception, but if there is staff on with tags, or you have no reason to be undercover, you may get in trouble.]

If you do say something racist or sexist, it must be very minimal and not in an offensive way and if not stopped after a warning, you will be punished severely. The person these comments are directed to and any staff member can at any time state that these are offensive and you must stop immediately.

✏ According to other rule lists, racism (sexism is often not even listed) is not tolerated. Here it is 'frowned upon'?
✏ Huh, maybe mentioning that you are in fact allowed to say sexist/racist things that are very minimal and not offensive on other rule lists would be a good idea. I mean, what if someone says something racist/sexist, but it's satire? Seems like thats why this rule is explained in a full paragraph, but why not so on other rule lists?

Me, being a big fan of the Tales of Series, seeing another Tales of game I have to get it to continue my quest for adventure and story. If didn't know the Tales of Series are RPGs in a anime like artistic view with a Final Fantasy like Battles. In this particular game, you meet up with a boy and a girl trying to save the world by bring OLD CHARACTER FROM ALL THE TALE OF SERIES (Remember me saying I'm a big fan of the Tales of Series? OH FUCKEN HELL YES). Oh also you can be any of the character you want in your party so there really is MAIN character. (You can be a doggo @bagel)

Save your stones for the 2000 after you use the 100s (Don't go singular)

I do not suggest rule changes/edits. I only point out inconsistencies between the rule lists which may be confusing staff and players (and me!).

Hopefully, these potential guide edits will help clear up recent confusion about the rules people have displayed on the forums, as most of these suggestions have to inconsistencies between server rules guides.

Racism and sexism is frowned upon in our servers, using it excessively or in an insulting manner is not allowed at all. IF a mod or higher warn you to stop (by gagging, muting or simply messaging you) , you must stop. This is the first and only warning you get and it must be in this manner. If you do say something racist or sexist, it must be very minimal and not in an offensive way and if not stopped after a warning, you will be punished severely. The person these comments are directed to and any staff member can at any time state that these are offensive and you must stop immediately.

✏ According to other rule lists, racism (sexism is often not even listed) is not tolerated. Here it is 'frowned upon'?
✏ Huh, maybe mentioning that you are in fact allowed to say sexist/racist things that are very minimal and not offensive on other rule lists would be a good idea. I mean, what if someone says something racist/sexist, but it's satire? Seems like thats why this rule is explained in a full paragraph, but why not so on other rule lists?

If you are a staff member (mod, admin, etc) and you are on an xG server that you have powers in, you MUST wear your admin tags in your STEAM NAME, this is no exception, failure to follow this rule will lead to a demotion. [undercover admin is the exception, but if there is staff on with tags, or you have no reason to be undercover, you may get in trouble.]

I was looking though the guides, and I noticed a few things we might want to update, so I thought I'd pick them out and put them in a nice list.
 
These are just suggestions, the purpose of this thread is to provide a convenient list of suggestions for the staff whom are able to edit the website in order to update our guides. I do not suggest rule changes/edits. I only point out inconsistencies between the rule lists which may be confusing staff and players (and me!).

They are listed in same the order they appear on the guides list page.
 
Hopefully, these potential guide edits will help clear up recent confusion about the rules people have displayed on the forums, as most of these suggestions have to inconsistencies between server rules guides.

✎ In other server rules guides, the general rules are often listed. Why not copy/past them into here as well? Just for easy reference.
✏ Don't forget that rules involving mic usage would have to be removed after pasting them in, as you cannot voice-chat in MC.

✎ "Gain advantage" could easily include using /dis to become something like a bat, which has a small hitbox, and is difficult to see. Even though the disguise is busted in one hit, it's still somewhat of an advantage. Is this allowed?

Hopefully, these potential guide edits will help clear up recent confusion about the rules people have displayed on the forums, as most of these suggestions have to inconsistencies between server rules guides.

If you do say something racist or sexist, it must be very minimal and not in an offensive way and if not stopped after a warning, you will be punished severely. The person these comments are directed to and any staff member can at any time state that these are offensive and you must stop immediately.

✏ According to other rule lists, racism (sexism is often not even listed) is not tolerated. Here it is 'frowned upon'?
✏ Huh, maybe mentioning that you are in fact allowed to say sexist/racist things that are very minimal and not offensive on other rule lists would be a good idea. I mean, what if someone says something racist/sexist, but it's satire? Seems like thats why this rule is explained in a full paragraph, but why not so on other rule lists?

If you are a staff member (mod, admin, etc) and you are on an xG server that you have powers in, you MUST wear your admin tags in your STEAM NAME, this is no exception, failure to follow this rule will lead to a demotion. Racism and sexism is frowned upon in our servers, using it excessively or in an insulting manner is not allowed at all. IF a mod or higher warn you to stop (by gagging, muting or simply messaging you) , you must stop. This is the first and only warning you get and it must be in this manner. If you do say something racist or sexist, it must be very minimal and not in an offensive way and if not stopped after a warning, you will be punished severely. The person these comments are directed to and any staff member can at any time state that these are offensive and you must stop immediately.

✏ According to other rule lists, racism (sexism is often not even listed) is not tolerated. Here it is 'frowned upon'?
✏ Huh, maybe mentioning that you are in fact allowed to say sexist/racist things that are very minimal and not offensive on other rule lists would be a good idea. I mean, what if someone says something racist/sexist, but it's satire? Seems like thats why this rule is explained in a full paragraph, but why not so on other rule lists?

If you are a staff member (mod, admin, etc) and you are on an xG server that you have powers in, you MUST wear your admin tags in your STEAM NAME, this is no exception, failure to follow this rule will lead to a demotion. [undercover admin is the exception, but if there is staff on with tags, or you have no reason to be undercover, you may get in trouble.]

I was looking though the guides, and I noticed a few things we might want to update, so I thought I'd pick them out and put them in a nice list.
 
These are just suggestions, the purpose of this thread is to provide a convenient list of suggestions for the staff whom are able to edit the website in order to update our guides. I do not suggest rule changes/edits. I only point out inconsistencies between the rule lists which may be confusing staff and players (and me!).

They are listed in same the order they appear on the guides list page.
 
Hopefully, these potential guide edits will help clear up recent confusion about the rules people have displayed on the forums, as most of these suggestions have to inconsistencies between server rules guides.

✎ In other server rules guides, the general rules are often listed. Why not copy/past them into here as well? Just for easy reference.
✏ Don't forget that rules involving mic usage would have to be removed after pasting them in, as you cannot voice-chat in MC.

✎ "Gain advantage" could easily include using /dis to become something like a bat, which has a small hitbox, and is difficult to see. Even though the disguise is busted in one hit, it's still somewhat of an advantage. Is this allowed?
✏ If not, maybe a few examples should be added to this rule, such as: "e.g: no disguising just before entering PvP"

And yea, I'd have to agree that terms like 'retarded' and 'autistic' plus others should fall under the racism whitelist, and here's why.
 
1) Calling someone one of these terms almost always is an overgeneralized definition of who they are as an individual. For example, if I were to call you autistic, I'd be defining your character under that singular condition, while neglecting to mention that @TheSupremePatriot is also very intelligent, helpful, experienced, and friendly of both a person and staff member. In addition, autistic, retorted, etc. almost always are used (although incorrectly) as synonyms for "idiot". People who are autistic, retarded, or whatever other box they're being forced into by the insensitive use such words AREN'T necessarily idiots.
I also don't like the overuse of "idiot" (often the person in question is NOT unintelligent, just uninformed) but I also don't care too much about it, since it's often used jokingly between friends. :p
 
2) Regardless of weather or not the person you're calling such words as 'retarded' or 'autistic' actually has one of these conditions, it still contributes to this societal belief that people who actually have such conditions are inherently stupid. Which is both extremely RUDE and WRONG.
 
3) And don't forget, this is the internet. People are going to say these things all the time, because they don't care about you, your race, or your conditions in the slightest, and they'll try to make you cry. That's what I love about xG, you can curse and joke around, but attacking someone personally is disallowed.
 
Maybe this should've been a new thread? With a poll to add:
"making fun of people for their conditions, or words such as 'retarded' or 'autistic' should be added to the racial slur (or whatever we call it) whitelist?"
In fact, in general, I think attacking someone personally is taking it to far (making fun of their disability, a culture, country).

There are 3 tiers of donator available for Minecraft, the first being Iron Donator, then Gold donator and finally the highest donator tier Diamond Donator! Each tier of donator gets the perks for that tier plus all perks of the previous tier.
 
How to donate

Proper usage of Donator perks (IMPORTANT)

Having access to donator perks is a privilege and should be used in a fun and respectful manner with other players. Therefore there are guidelines and rules set in place for proper usage of the perks included in these donator packages. Failure to follow these guidelines and repeated abuse of any donator powers will result in revocation of the perks WITHOUT refund.
 
Firstly do not use donator powers to troll or harass other players, this includes repeatedly using gadgets on them when they have asked you nicely to stop or if you are using morphs in a trolling manner which could annoy other users.
 
Do not use morphs with the ability to fly and teleport such as the bat and enderman to access areas otherwise not accessible by normal means. This could be a walled city or areas other uses have spent time and effort to fortify. Having donator does not give you the right to bypass otherwise impenetrable fortifications.
 
You are not allowed to engage in pvp while under any morph whatsoever, the morphs mess with the hitboxes and will give you a huge advantage in pvp, killing other players while using morphs is therefore strictly forbidden.
 
You are not allowed to use any gadget as an aid in pvp, this could be something so simple as using black hole to obscure other players vision giving you an easier time to kill them.
 
The biggest rule of all is use common sense. Don't do anything that you feel will benefit you over none donators.

Good news for TF2 donators! you will automatically be given the appropriate tier of donator in minecraft if you have already donated for TF2! Below will be a conversion of what your TF2 donator tier will grant you in Minecraft!
 
Basic Donator = Iron Donator
 
Super Donator = Gold Donator
 
Uber Donator = Diamond Donator

How to use /nickname and colour coding.

to change your name with colours you must use Minecrafts colour coding system. Below is a picture with the code for each colour you wish your name to be. You may also mix multiple colours into your name by using the colour codes in the middle of your name.
 

 
For example to change my name to Amy and make it pink I would use "/nickname &dAmy" without the quotations of course.
To use multiple colours for example Amy but with a blue y it would be like this "/nickname &dAm&1y"
