  1. The drama never came to a surprise to me, and there’s no nice way to say this but this is just what happens when you make a server which mostly consists of furries and huge ego tf2 vets

and I agree that staff should actually try and resolve issues rather than just muting but I feel like some people are just vindictive and reaction-hungry by nature, so I just do my best to ignore them

and, the thing about rules is that if you make them too free then trolls will thrive and chase people away, but if they’re too strict then it curbs the fun of people who aren’t really doing anything wrong

I would say a rework of the server would be the ticket to success here but that would be a tremendous amount of effort, so I really don’t know

and now that kypari is gone, who I would say was one of the best conflict resolvers and community thinkers, things are looking grim indeed

I hope the staff discussing these kind of issues because if like Caleb said, if nothing changes soon it’s just not gonna last ?‍♂️

  2. The overheal idea is interesting, but it wouldn't work in the end. Think about this; we're playing on one of the god forsaken maps where the spawn points are basically open for anyone to fire into at any time with NO door (such as hotel hell) and the other team has pushed you back so far, they have demomen putting stickies on the ground waiting for you to spawn, which would kill you instantly anyways. Phlogs would still kill you very quick, normal heavies can still kill you quick, and it's just a big mess.

Meanwhile, the uber effect is perfectly fine. But I wonder if there would be a way to make it so that as long as you are standing the trigger box that defines the spawn room, you would have the effect indefinitely, then leaving would give you the lingering effect. That would at the very least stop people from rolling toxic and getting tons of spawn frags.

  3. Welcome. Welcome to City 17.

You have chosen, or been chosen, to relocate to one of our finest remaining urban centers. I thought so much of City 17 that I elected to establish my Administration here, in the Citadel so thoughtfully provided by Our Benefactors. I have been proud to call City 17 my home. And so, whether you are here to stay, or passing through on your way to parts unknown, welcome to City 17. It's safer here.

We have to do a vote for this kind of thing so the community is more involved. If we start changing things which we may think is a no brainer, but then public get angry that we haven't consulted with them first, it's on us.

Not to mention that it's rarely a 100% vote when the "enable cap" vote is made. Regardless of whether a person answering "no" is an accident or not, it's always better to involve the community and see what they think about the idea.

It's really hard to tell what people think in majority when we got all these weenies who looked but didn't reply ?

if everyone on this list stated their opinion we'd know, xeno gamers assemble rn let's change something for once even if it's smol
