I've been opposed to community rooms virtually since day 1. It's basically small, private teamspeak servers. You can chose mods, admins, and ban people if they break channel rules, or blacklist them. It sounds like a great idea, until you realize all the problems it causes. I think it has turned our teamspeak into 1 gigantic circlejerkfest. People stay in locked rooms 24/7. Out of the three months, I rarely have seen Warrior, Jake and Pinoy leave that room. Granted, it is a community room, but when you get a pm in-game, you dont answer it. You wait until you're finished, which in warrior's case can take an upwards of 30+ minutes, and then answer. By then, the problem has already solved itself, or escalated so high, it causes intervention from a third party, such as a coleader. I hardly see Warrior doing his administrative duties. 95%, he's in his locked channel, complaining about the current league game, or complaining about the community. And what's this about "I'll go on when I'm needed" crap. You got admin for being active, not by playing league everyday. Don't pull that card, then cry that you did nothing. That's exactly why you got demoted. We shouldn't have to ask you to get on, you should instead already be on. That's how you got admin in the first place. Grow up. But, I digress. Maybe making a monthly fee or something, just to help keep the channels cleaned and cleared up, since we have more community rooms than servers. @@MineCrack If a person PMs you, most of the time you won't answer. It's easier for a person to join a channel, say what they need to, and leave. I've had conversations lasting 10 minutes typing, which could have been resolved in under three.

I see zero reason to give you the powers since all you do is hang out in Warriors channel and never go to any other part of the Teamspeak server. I need people who are willing to actively monitor the server and the rest of the admins will be losing their powers if they do not shape up. Powers will not be given to users who only sit in the community channels since those are privately administered. I'm glad you were able to figure this out on your own, though. *sarcasm* Also I changed my name. Get with it, kid.

what brian said, everything turns into a circlejerkfest, and warrior relax about your room being popular, u have most of the upper staff in there, that explains others always joining, cause everyone whos important is there, i can move everything into sinlys rooms and BAM, suddenly sinly has the most popular room in teamspeak, as for what silence did, im abstaining from it, i dont have any feelings for or against it but we'll see how everything goes in the coming days/weeks and whether its for the better or worse

You cant see PMs nor would you be able to see them replying to john in admin chat.

You want the TS admins to just do a regular check of all the channels? That sounds idiotic to me for a couple reasons; One being that if someone is in a channel with their friends, they most likely won't want to be disturbed. Second being that you are telling Warrior and Pinoy, and all the other TS admins to shape up and not just sit in one community channel (Warriors Room), then why the fuck is Serb in there 95% of the time. Serb still does his job more than expected, and still just sits in Warriors channel. You know why? People can either message him, or go into warriors channel if it's unlocked (which it is most of the time). I have no reason to believe why Pinoy or Warrior should have got admin removed. They did what they were supposed to in the times when powers were needed. You can't just expect them to know when something is going on channel that needs to be fixed unless they're messaged. Just like you don't know how you should improve on xG unless people tell you their suggestions. It's not a big deal that they had admin, the more the merrier is what I feel.

And 10 % of the time people arent, and that 10% can cause problems. I see where silence is coming from though. I can name a bunch of people (Not only TS admins) who never leave the community channels, so they don't know when somethings happen. If I only went on JB when's I'm called on I'd never be on JB, admins cant rely on being called in for a rule breaker, you should be active on the servers (in this case not just specific channels) and be able to moderate before something happens. I don't think silence is trying to say don't hang out in community channels, he's just saying if you're going to be a TS admin, administrate other channels too, not just yours, or your friends. EDIT: I don't see why these things are brought up against silence, who would demote him? He pretty much has the power to do whatever he wants, its his clan (Not that doing something dumb would attract people, but if he wants, he has that power.)

My job: Enforce the rules without bias. Help people with their questions. Handle relevant situations on the forums. Make the server fun, not one that is so strict it loses the fun aspect. Use my big boy logic to determine what things deserve my attention and what things I should argue over. Laugh at posts that try and tell me I'm doing my job wrong, especially when those authors are hypocrites.

So you're telling me that after his brother was banned from the server, that applejack came into the server with the exact same name essentially admitting to avoiding a ban literally seconds later? My argument wasn't hinging on the "gg" or the "Hacks for the win", it was the fact that he repeatedly said "It's my account", especially after I asked him why he was avoiding a ban. If it really was someone else, he would have most likely immediately questioned what I was talking about, instead of replying with "It's my account, gg". If someone was about to get banned and they knew it, don't you'd think they would make at least some kind of attempt to stop said ban from happening? All I have to say is that you all are a bunch of crybaby niggers... You can argue it either way, especially with the last t whether or not they were delaying. But... notice how the cts weren't looking at the ts when the baited? It was unintentional and thus not slayable. Accidents happen.

I remember this. I'm fairly certain I didn't slay them because both t's were delaying and could have been killed. There was no reason to slay them. I remember you messaging me about baiting, but I thought you were referring to something else. Remember there's no reason to just slay them if it was an accidental bait like shown here. The T's did delay from what I can tell. Edit: Accidental baits happen. There was no reason to just slay the CT's because a t delayed.

No, because how do you know that its another account? You don't know, It doesn't matter if my vote counts or not, if you guys perm him, you guys are showing a bad example of being mature. If you actually looked at the chat logs, you would have seen that he says "Hacks for the win" (as he was supposed to be banned, but was somehow on the server) then "jk it's my account". He then later says (after I question him about avoiding a ban) "my account, gg". That sure looks like that he knew that his brother's account had been banned and that by using his account, that he could get back on the server, which is called avoiding a ban. Being young isn't an excuse when he was fully aware of what he was doing. If you look at both of the accounts, both of them have the exact same name last name (pasek, indicating that they're at least related) and that on apple's brother's account, apple (using the original account) left a comment saying that "we brothers" (which could indicate that they're brothers). There's just overwhelming proof that Apple used a second account to avoid his ban, and not really any to indicate otherwise. The correct punishment for this is a perm ban, doing any less after giving apple a second chance after advertising on our servers would be idiotic. There were too many global admins in one channel, for too long. I think that's why you were demoted. You cant just expect to sit in a locked channel all day and not have consequences. As silence has said, he's going to be looking at the admins who havent been demoted, to see if they arent doing a good enough job. If they arent, there will be consequences. Ts admin isnt just for banning your mates, it's for: *Sorting out mic spammers *Being available to contact in case of stuff like this (Being in a locked channel isnt availability, even if you can pm (Admin could just carry on playing game instead of looking at it) *Making co leaders jobs easier so they dont have to stress over escalated problems. *Most important however, is making sure xG ts is a nice place for members (and guests) to be.

The more I think about it the less sense or makes having it. Why post a simplified/shortened motd when they have to read the long one anyway. Nobody is going to go to the longer one if they don't have to. Change it back to having the regular motd appear, doesn't give them an excuse then. It's a good idea, but is useless at what it is trying to accomplish. +1 for removal

I don't even understand why this is a problem. If you wanted to get into Warrior's channel that has a password, you pm Warrior and ask him for the password; just as you would any other channel in the teamspeak. Besides, league is a game based on teamwork and communication. You lose a lot of that survivability from lack of communication because randoms are talking louder than the people in your game. Think of it the same way you would with Jailbreak. If you're in the Jailbreak channel and you're trying to listen specifically to the people in your game and the cts, would you want a crowd of people joining and just talking about every single meal they've eaten in their lives? No, it breaks your concentration and a lot of the time, you can't hear orders, which inevitably gets you killed and renders your presence in the server pretty pointless. That's why it has a password. Even more so because it's a community channel, which was paid for, and can have that privilege. I think you got more offended than warrior did.

John saw that if he did smite the player it would cause the server to be under choas with the guy yelling, "Why was I slayed?". Instead, john noticed that it was accidental and the server was running smoothly. He then messaged the baiter about his actions. Teach them, don't go slay hungry.

I know T-T When I do take a long break it usually lasts for awhile. But we do these large 10+ match streak. Don't matches last like 45 minutes? the few games I've played lasted about 45 minutes. yeah bronze 5 matches last longer, thus why warrior's room is always locked

I feel left out when I cant get in one of your rooms and all my friends are there :( I'll go cry now :cry::cry::cry: All rooms will be open when im not playing league, my room gets flooded with people within seconds. >_> Your always playing league.

do i have to say something because i was put into this thread? i guess i should say i dont go into random rooms for the sake of being in them to monitor them. if we need someone to monitor rooms then ask me and i will do it.

Isn't this a community? Makes sense they'd be in a community room.

What I mean is that these people have paid for channels and you're complaining that they are always in them. Whenever I was in teamspeak and I saw people causing problems, pinoy and warrior would do their best to solve them, if they were given the opportunity to. Whereas all Death God really did was jokingly ban people and forget that he banned them hours afterward.

If you have common sense... or already know what jailbreak is... you can join the server... read the basic motd... and be perfectly fine.... If you don't... then you prolly don't read either MOTD when you join anyways.... This thread is pointless... removing the basic motd is pointless... and will change nothing...

What's the point of having people pay for channels if they're just going to be punished for always using them? Besides, there's not much of a difference between a channel that has a password and a channel that has an unnecessary amount of people on the blacklist.

I don't offer handouts, sorry. If you want to monitor Teamspeak you need to show interest in anything but the community channels.

With as inactive as some of the staff has been, we pretty much are juggling everything right now. And i dont mind doing the petty things, it helps you have better communication with staff and members.
