We are trying our best over here, we only have 12 staff members to moderate 8 servers. 6 of the 8 are usually filled, so it is hard to watch them all. We are trying our best to bring in members, but it is hard as hell when not many apply. We need active people, so we won't just promote some guy that comes on once or twice a week for 10 minutes. Although, there has been a recent spike in TF2 applications and I think we now can start getting on track to promoting more members. To get it, you can do multiple things. You can be active in our Team Fortress 2 servers, as well as the teamspeak server. Activity on the forums isn't as important as those two, but it is encouraged. You could also donate a small amount of money to apply for mod, or you can donate more money to buy moderator or admin for life (or until you get demoted). To get more moderators, we need more members. Once we have a large amount of members, we can start getting these servers moderated for most of the day. Let's just hope we keep getting people to apply...

Alright. Well, it was a freeslay. Which he gave himself the proper punishment for. However, from what he told me you were disrespecting him for the slay. Accidents do happen. I understand you got upset but, don't take it out on him. I muted you once the round started because you started yelling at him some more. I was unaware he had gagged you previously for the disrespect so he kicked you for continued disrespect. If the gag was valid then the kick was valid. I wasn't dead to see dead chat so I can't exactly weigh in on that. @@Kirigaya_Kazuto in the future ask them first why they killed you. Unless you are certain beyond a reasonable doubt that it was a freekill. I understand things happen, sometimes we mess up. Overall -1 for abuse. @@Halfbaked Next time just calmly ask why you were slayed. Or ask in admin chat so a higher up could properly handle it. If he found it to be disrespectful which it was, then he can gag. Also, not to mention the fact he started disrespecting more once the round started over voice chat. But once again, it's better to ask why they killed you rather than just slay them. Unless you are absolutely sure it was a freekill. If he found it to be "disrespectful" than he fails at being a mod because what halfbaked said is actually listed specifically as something that is NOT DISRESPECT: As Forest has stated... no shit he was pissed off and continued afterwords when the next round started... he just got freeslayed by a badmod that wasn't paying attention and then invalidly gagged... I would be pissed off too...

Stop being one sided guys. If you were to be slain for an unjust reason, you would be pretty upset and most likely say something out of sheer anger. Albeit it's not something that should be practised, but it does happen occasionally from our players, and Moderators/Administrators should account for that before gagging so abruptly. Come on, cut the guy some slack. He was just slain out of the blue without a single warning, and then found out that the slay was completely unjustified, interrupting what could have been a fine round of Wardening. Is that not more than enough reason to have a couple of words slip out due to frustration and anger toward the Staff Member who dealt the slay? As John said, if you are completely sure that what happened justifies a slay, then do it. But if you aren't 100% sure, then ask first. You can't be 80% sure, you can't be 90% sure, you have to be 100%, lest you end up free slaying. This was a display of power abuse, even if just minor, however; it doesn't warrant anything other than a talking to. @@Kirigaya_Kazuto Don't let it happen again mate, make sure to follow rules/regulations when dealing with Admin Commands to keep these sort of situations to a minimum; and @@Halfbaked realize that our Staff isn't perfect. Not necessarily referring to John as I have no clue what happened. I don't get why we perm ban people for unintentionally killing 3 people, especially for something that they CLEARLY may not have known about such as a map mechanic. At the end of the round, those three t's will get over it and keep playing but we've lost a person that did not mean to harm us and helps to populate the servers. There are certain cases where it's kind of ambiguous, but in clear unintentional three man freekills, I seriously don't think perms should be dished out and don't know why we continue to do so.

Believe me, I know. I used to moderate the servers on CS:S and I found it pretty damn stressful (even for a thing that I volunteered for) to watch jailbreak. I left CS:S for that reason, but now jailbreak has come back to haunt me to this day and it's even worse than before. As TF2 Div gets bigger, we can get more mods that can take on the burden of jb, so you don't even have to worry about it! (y)

I know there's been a thread somewhere before about this but we seriously need to do something about First Reaction Last Reaction. The last few times I've been on JB it's gone literally like this: Warday, FRLR day, Map game (finally), warday, FRLR day, Map game, etc. Can we spread out the amount of days between FRLR or otherwise discourage it? It's the most boring, kill-whore activity in JB and yet somehow the most common.

The reason its just the slayed cuz he didnt even give me a warning to why i should be slayed he just did it even without talking to anyong about it. I doubt any mod/admin says "You were slayed for reason" and then slays the person, unless i read that so wrong that, well, derp. But like i said, screen the entire console since it will help a lot more.

I do not deny i did freeslayed him. I didn't hear him say jumping was restricted and he killed me. I did not gag him for arguing with me about the freeslay, I gaged him for dissrespect.
