No way! Fusion's my favorite Metroid game, too. :3 Almost everyone's favorite Metroid game is either one of the Prime games, or Super Metroid.

There is a very interesting, new work-in-progress shooter game called Ravenfield which is made in Unity Engine by one dude. Keep in mind that it is a tad bit pricey for what you get, and is early access. As well, it is exclusively single player, similar to the campaigns of most mainstream shooters. Don't expect much from the graphics, as they are practically identical to those seen in Totally Accurate Battle Simulator, which is also made in Unity, but this little game is definitely worth checking out.

Agreed with the public, I definitely think this only deems a warning if it even deserves that. I would say if he continues his actions to give him a warning, but for the most part I'm a -1 at the ban.

-1 for ban +1 for warning I know I'm not a mod but this just seems like either trolling or he didn't read the rules. A gag would've been fine. Then I would recommend he read the rules. If he kept doing it after that then maybe something else like maybe a kick or somethin. Also sorry I don't have a spare huntsman.

this looks like some minor trolling to me. if anything, i would have gagged him, but banning is not an option imo

Well, I think it's time I give you guys a peek at the map. (Note: The map is in ALPHA. It will have actual textures and lighting when it's finished, but this version will be for creating/gamemode testing) Waiting room for RED: Deathrun Path (Ignore the buttons, they're there for testing): Death's Control Room (there will be more buttons like this to choose various minigames) : Stickies that blow up Death if he doesn't choose a game in 30 seconds: This is only about 1/4 of the map. There will be 3 Minigames Death can choose to start with (more will be added later) and 3 choices for the runners at the end of Deathrun (more might be added...). The Deathrun is also only halfway done and will take the longest to finish. The Minigames are actually easier to make than the DR...

-1 for ban. Really there is nothing here that would cause a jump to a ban without any previous punishment/a much more notable history. Though the derogatory language and potential loop holing would certainly result in an on the spot warning and possibly gag, it's not something that would result in a ban unless it was persistent afterwards. To address the "Who has a huntsman" and other repeated phrases by this person in their chat history, there are only a few instances by the looks of it where they actually spammed, with most statements having ~30 seconds to a few minutes in between each. That being said, the situation for the chat spam would be exactly the same as that for the slurs regardless. Now there is the possibility that this person was just trolling, but with what is here there is no way to easily discern between such and just simply ignorance on their part. All in all, user should not be banned but defiantly the kind of behavior staff should keep their eyes open for and non-staff should be pointing out when staff aren't present.

This seems like a one time thing and doesn't deserve a ban but instead a warning. Unless this person has already been punished for this before I can see where you're coming from. Another thing is I don't really see the point of have adding those random comments as it doesn't really help with the situation. One last thing, that term ''nogga'' isnt a racial slur a nogga is a non-derogatory version of nigga, nogga has no racial or ethnic connotations (Definition found on this). Nogga is also a Pet Product company so theres also that (but he/she probably meant the other definition). So +1 for warning but -1 for ban

Well to start you off, I didn't find the game too creepy. There were parts that did jumpscare me at first. Otherwise depending on how much of a pu**y you are, it isn't really creepy. I have played the original on the NES, Return of Samus on the GB, and Fusion on the GBA (just a little secret, I played it on my 3DS through an ambassador program many years ago Nintendo did. Just Google the program itself). My favorite Metroid game of all time would have to be Fusion. Im not sure why it is, I just find myself going back to it all the time. I would never compare Other M to any other Metroid game. That game is it's own entity and should be treated as so. I only say this because no other game in the series was done this way and should be treated as so. Next, the difficulty wasn't hard, except for the hard mode you unlock after beating it once. It did provide a nice challenge. The most difficult part though was the Boss before the Epilogue. There is no clear indication on what to do so I googled it. But going back to Fusion one more time, the Shinespark in that game is super hard to pull off since they don't give you a whole lot of room to do so. But in Other M, it's perfect. I do thank that about does it @james8470 . Hope I cleared up a few things for you.

Nice review Septik! Other M takes a lot of shit from the Metroid community, and often rightfully so. It's interesting that you find the game to have many more positives than negatives. I've never played Other M or the Prime series myself (although I plan to using this new Wii emulator), so I can't speak to it personally. I love the way you maneuver in Metroid, too. :3 Also, LOL WTF Yeah that's one thing that pisses the Metroid community off, the new ability authorization feature was a blow to a player's feeling of being like an unrestricted bounty hunter. Stuff like Samas' character (PTST, submissive as opposed to outgoing and cold-blooded) and the potentially sexist female deceptions and clichés plus a few other things I can't name off the top of my head also are noteworthy. Something I didn't know about Other M was how similar a story and setting it had to Metroid Fusion, the final game (chronologically) in the storyline. Maybe that's one reasons fans hate it so much, for being apparently unoriginal? Besides the setting itself, a lot of the plot points and even charters first appeared (by release date) in Metroid Fusion. Having actually played Metroid Fusion, this does upset me a little. But probably not as much as it will when I actually play the game. Huh, interesting. Every other Metroid fan I know said Other M's characters seemed shallow. Oh cool he's from Super Metroid. One of the space pirate (Zebesian) commanders. I'll talk about him in my Metroid 3 review, really one of the creepier parts of the game. :eek: Thanks for the info on this game @TBOHB ! (y) I have a few questions, though. 1) How creepy is the game? That's a Metroid staple, after all. 2) What other Metroid games have you played? How do they compare? 3) What did you think of the difficulty? Too easy? Hard? Just right? 4) How was the soundtrack? 5) Anything else you want to respond to (the examples of Other M criticisms I brought up)?

Okay, I watched both demos. I definitely don't think he's hacking tbh, just looks like he's extremely good. Vexx and Sesh said everything that had to be said, so. +1 for an unban from my side. Also, it seems like this discussion got kinda out of hand, therefore apologies to OP (@bless) if the way you were spoken to came off condescending. Virr, Vexx, Sesh and all agreed that he's innocent and @mrnutty12 is on vacation, so I suppose we can go ahead and unban him. - closed
