Hey not staff but I'm quite familiar with both platforms (I used TS for a long while in the past and have now moved over to Discord) I think TS is a dying platform, without visual appeal, I gotta say I never enjoyed being on a team speak server when I was on one, people say it's just as easy as Discord, which isn't true, it can be more confusing easily. Not sure why someone having multiple administrative ranks displayed is really all that important, because in discord you can do the exact same thing, however it only shows one rank/tag at a time unless you click a user and choose to *view roles/ranks* or rather, check with your eyes So another big point I've seen being made in here (that someone hasn't already explained) is the idea of getting credits/little icons? this is a very personal problem, I doubt the majority is to concerned about making 1 credit for 1 minute of voice chat time, or rather if they have small cosmetic icons, I mean there isn't any form of equivalence in Discord I agree with this, however you could decide to make custom emojis for higher ups (for instance a mod gets one emoji and a admin gets another). My last point is directed at people who either don't have the ability to use a microphone or don't own one, Discord is much more text chat friendly, messages feel more fluid and send with a more impact feel and they're more visually appealing

Ehh, it's pretty easy to just follow a guide and use regedit to change it. IIRC setting your productID to zero breaks teamspeak's productID ban all together. I still think discord's new user moderation settings are extremely powerful.

Meh I don't use teamspeak because I'm not too social on the mic and don't like talking to large groups of players or paying attention to that many people since I'm not that talkative and like some privacy so I just prefer discord so I can talk to certain friends or other staff, I honestly don't care bout which one I use since I find them to be basically the same thing, I just prefer talking to smaller groups and not having to communicate as much.

A few points to anyone who isn't familiar with the differences between TS or Discord Bots: Ts has bots as well, and can be customized to listen to server chat or channel chat. I don't really understand the whole "I can't use teamspeak" since it's fairly straight forward if you ever used a VOIP in the past, and if you have a busy discord server, it does fuck your CPU usage compared to a busy teamspeak server. Discord is written in javascript and an electron based web application which is why it has an issue on performance when a lot of people are online. You can customize a teamspeak server much more than discord, especially in terms of roles which is why roles in discord are very clunky. You can even give powers channel related (for example staff in TF2 have control over the TF2 channels as well, whereas in discord I believe you must have powers in the entire server and can't be given powers over just a channel. Administration over teamspeak is much superior, kicking or banning in discord can easily be worked around, whereas teamspeak bans your UUID + IP, we have never had an issue after banning someone on teamspeak, that they constantly made new accounts and came back. Channels can have sub channels, and we can space them out with spacers to make it more neater, something discord does not have. Unless you lock a text channel, anything you say in there is public to everyone, instead of it being only with the group in the channel at the time. Imagine all the different groups of xG in one discord, and how hard it would be to organize everyone to their own channels, and give them the privacy they want.

Well I've told a few people but if Teamspeak doesn't offer any changes or a roadmap by 2018 we will make the switch.

10/10 reading. Again you ignore me. It's like you read the first sentence and think "o wow this person is dumb lemme fix dat" and obviously you don't know how staffing works. Punishment is accumulated. If someone is banned for an hour than repeats the same offense it goes to a day ban. Our staff does their best to stay in communication about issues in the most convenient ways. Putting the responsibility like expecting them to be on teamspeak 24/7 is fucking dumb. When staff are in game they shouldn't need an ok to fo their damn job. If you have a problem with how staffing is done then find new staff, becuase I won't stand for myself or the other staff being put on the spot of " and the staff need to have their expectations and standards reset based off of your response here" you can fuck right off if you think so poorly of our staff. They do their job the best they can. Sitting here bundling every staff up as a collective idiot ia downright disgusting. It's pointless even arguing with you becuase you won't even read my response anyways. This is my last reply.
