Don't worry guys, @MineCrack and I will be returning to be division leaders of minecraft. We have been in talks with the higher ups and have agreed that this is necessary to the health of xG as a whole. The server will be completely revamped, introducing a spawn built by @gryfons and @lilbleed. Hopefully you guys enjoy it :)

As of right now no its still up and running (relatively) but there will be discussions on what direction we want to take it. Super has been super mad busy lately. So we will talk with him when he is able too. He knows a lot more than me about minecraft.

It's not entirely your fault so don't feel too bad. There is just a lot that needs to be done and unfortunately you just don't have the skills at the moment. It'd be nice if we could get someone who knew enough about the server side stuff to maintain the server. As for population minecraft is already a slow game when it comes to population anyhow but it's more of how popular servers will keep bringing in new players because they have higher voting ranks. The fact that you're the only staff I've even seen on minecraft for a while doesn't help either. The issues stem from lots of things that aren't in your control to be fair. I am curious on what will happen to the server as well but I can definitely hope for the best ^-^;

: Many of you know as of now the Minecraft server is a steaming pile of shit. I am aware of the many issues and bugs and crashes with the server. If you have made threads about it or have talked to me personally about it don't think that I have just ignored you. When the server launched, there were some road bumps but for the first month or so the server went well. Then school started, the population died, and some other shit happened. Now I have a server on my hands that is nowhere near where is should be or where I want it to be and that is my fault. I don't have the time or the experience to keep the server operational all by myself, but that's not an acceptable reason for the server to be so underpopulated and broken. I will be talking to @Aegean about the future of the server, of my position, and where I think it should go. We have had a conversation before, but we really didn't go anywhere with it. I'm sorry that its gotten this far. I should have tried to fix this a while ago.

All jokes aside, I'm pretty skeptical about the new system. I never really saw a problem with the old system where upon reaching 10 positive vouches, the applicant was accepted (where any negative vouches would reduce the total positive) after 24 hours of receiving the final 10th vouch. I completely understand the idea behind this movement, but exclusivity at the cost of getting 10 vouches didn't [and still doesn't] seem like some impossible feat. It gave Players something to work for (as opposed to a generalized ratio of positive to negative vouches which is in effect now) and they could see in real-time where they were at in the review process in terms of monitoring their positive vouches.
 
I personally feel that quality is far better than quantity, and that's what we got when letting Players in to represent Xeno Gamers as a full-time Member through the old system. It ensured that we let quality Players in, not just any Player off of the street, and it gave Xeno Gamers this sort of respectable air around it. Joining Xeno Gamers felt like an honour (to me at the time) and so it felt great to receive all of the vouches I did because I worked hard for them and was rewarded for my efforts by receiving a full-membership. The number of vouches not only gave the community an idea of who the Player was, but it also enabled the Higher-Ups to formulate an opinion themselves because, more often than not, it would take weeks to get in at a time. It gave a decent buffer time for Higher-Ups and enabled them to weed out any Players they deemed 'not worthy'. 2 days just seems too few to really judge a Player.
 
That all being said, if the end-goal is quantity > quality, then it's certainly more effective in that aspect. However, this is all just personal opinion, it's just good to see an active interest from the Higher-Ups in improving Xeno Gamers in any way :coffee:

in a perfect world there should be /nobody/ with powers except for bleed/lithium, and whoever the scrim leader is should be able to dictate pauses
 
if you want to pause, ask in all chat. simple shit lol. since you fucks clearly dont have the mental capacity to understand when pausing is needed and when its just a waste of time, you shouldnt have the power to do it. and for fairness, the guy who set up the scrim can pause. dont give scrim leader to people who frequently abuse (you know who you are)
 
for pure obnoxiousness with binds, bm, etc, if it gets to the point where an individual is ruining it for everyone else through their behavior, someone should step in (again, bleed, lithium, ege, etc.) and tell them to either stop or just not allow them to play. we arent communists here boys this is AMERICA if youre a fucking faggot then you shouldn't be allowed to play
 
the whole purpose of these are to have fun. I'm not sure what makes me different from others but I have 0 problems playing against/with people who either play incredibly stupid (mudkip) or people who are incredibly skilled (legend)
 
both of these players make the game different and requires a different approach to rounds to win. whats wrong about that? fuck off if you just wanna play goody goody no troll guns 100% competitive SERIOUS SILVER COUNTER STRIKE, theres plenty of avenues available for literally anyone to play cs in a more competitive setting
 
the reason why i stopped playing is because of how hostile everything became. shit talking is fun. buying troll guns is fun. bhopping or whatever is fun. bonding with your teammates and making your names all binary speaker 1-5 is fun. what isnt fun is purposely trying to upset people and/or raging at your teammates. losing obviously is less fun but that cs is a game where you can come back from disadvantages in many, many ways and at the end of the day it literally doesnt matter if u win or lose
