Hi. I'm james8470, that one dude who worked on the Minecraft server.
I left xG because of some stupid comments I made on YouTube and a complete lack of interest in the xG servers. Well, now I've gotten over myself and I play xG TF2 surf every few days or so, and who knows maybe I'll even get back into TGH too. Also I'm forced to retire from playing competitive TF2 for awhile due to timezones. 
I would've submitted a member application, but the website wouldn't let me for some reason. After awhile, I realized it was because @Aegean got lazy and forgot to remove my member status so technically... I never even left xG ❤️
How is everyone doing? How have the last few months been on xG? ?
I've just been playing competitive TF2 (Highlander and stuff on TF2center), trying to model hats, trying to make YouTube videos, taking Spanish classes outside of high school (and holy crap I should've just waited until summer to do them), and dealing with applying to college. 
This is kind of a stupid time to post this because I'll be gone all weekend for my aunt's wedding, but IDGAF ?
Alright, enough talking about me.
 
 

You only specified "in chat" so I'll assume you mean you warned in text only. You have to warn both verbally and textually, I learned that the hard way a while back when I banned someone who muted voice chat and was breaking rules. You apparently didn't even kick the guy, so that's an even bigger red flag (haha get it?). Jumping straight to a permanent ban only after one previous ban is kind of bullshit.
 

I don't mean to exactly derail, but would it be possible to lower the minimum time required to be active on the servers? I've seen more and more people applying with lower hours, but still being granted membership if they get a positive +1:-1 ratio. You don't really have to answer, but I'd like it if the higher-ups could at least bring it up in one their upcoming meetings or whatever you guys do to communicate.

The fact that you're 16 and still use the "word" "funner" makes me extremely doubtful that you're giving your actual age, or that you're just really good at making imaginary words. I could be wrong, though. I don't really know you, so I'll remain neutral for the time being.

Hey guys, I'm geb263, I've played some of the TF2 Surf server and I don't see myself leaving it anytime soon. I took a couple of months away to focus on school but I'm back. I've enjoyed the community so far, and look forward to playing on your servers. I'm usually playing on the servers around 4pm-7pm.

just going to point out @Semper that PurpleDrank died from an OD a few years ago. I don't want to be a nazi or anything, but I doubt it'd be wise to use his name like that.

I think it`s only fair to show everybody what's left to do to make the server official:
Create an actual spawn (i suck at being creative ) Adding creative Adding Skyblock Finish permissions (almost done) Add a currency mod that would work with towny Add a shop Donator shop Chat formatting (for ranks and whatnot) Getting a team set up (mods/admin) Setting up server rules (Yeah I'll scrap the old rules as I see fit to make room for more updated rules) I will be adding more things to this list as needed, aswell as strike stuff that i've done.
IMPORTANT: Everybody's inventory will be wiped clean once we actually go live for real. The maps will be deleted. The current state of the server is more of a test realm than anything else. I apologise for the inconveniences this will cause, but it has to be done. I've seen plenty of people running around with tons of diamonds.
@Aegean feel free to add stuff to the list accordingly.

TF2 xG was better in 2016 IMO. Just a bit more laid back, it was nice. Also, JB was populated ?
CS is a lot better right now, at least for me. They don't have that many people getting angry over nothing, and arguments don't constantly break out afaik. It feels like people there can actually relate to one another, so everyone just has a good time. I think the community is fine as it is.
