    [Poll] Hybrid Warning Concept

I like the concept but ehh... I'd much rather have something like that popup in chat rather than it produce an overlay on a player. I'm not sure if this is 100% possible. The friendly command has to be done a certain way and isn't instant. If you're using a plugin to force an overlay, they don't have to be alive to begin with, I think, so blocking them from kill binding themselves wouldn't matter. Honestly, I feel this is overkill for just warning a person. Maybe a command that allows us to warn someone in chat with much more visible text would work better. Like forcing an easy to see chat color and change of text size (if possible within Source). Other than that, I feel this is a bit too much.

    [Poll] Hybrid Warning Concept

I really wouldn't want a warning stopping me from playing the game suddenly. Imagine running around as a Scout, you're about to kill someone and then suddenly the warning message with the black screen appears and you can no longer play until you close it, so you die. I'd be pissed. The current system is fine.

I'm pretty sure its fine if someone does !calladmin when a staff member is on because it doesn't send the message to the bot(At least thats my opinion). Unless they're actually abusing it to troll or something then, of course, you're going to have to punish the person doing that. Also if someone were to report a member then you should still take it seriously as a regular report, being in-game or just recieving the report from the bot because there have been those cases where a xg member would actually hack. +1 for unban.

@Tekage what made you believe the report was a joke though? Sure, people who are familiar with each other do pretend to use the plugin as such but an actual report is practically never filled, as to avoid this exact situation. Looking through chat, it would seem no one was implying such unless it was done over mic. Which, correct me if I am wrong, Jerseydevil either does not have or does not use. Despite the chat messages directing players to the usage of admin chat, the calladmin plugin is just a much more well known fix to any solution for those that play the game, be it on these servers or others. We can try to shove information in their faces as much as we desire, but using a calladmin will always be the go to solution for many by default. When someone has a legitimate concern, there is little reason for a staff member to treat the in game messages received from the bot any differently from messages sent to admin chat. Now I do find it unlikely Jeresydevil has not ran into val before due to how often he has played the server, or that he was unaware that staff were on. Were this the case or not though, it doesn't change that he very well could have believed that val was hacking and so far there is nothing proving otherwise beyond assumption. So, far now i'll give this a +1 for an unban.

Not taking sides, but the person in question was wearing the xG tags so is clearly a regular and I was wearing my tags on the server.

For reference here is the abuse blurb in the tf2 staff manual. Abuse and fun commands Abusing your powers is forbidden. Abusing is doing something for your own personal gain at the expense of the people in the server and doing things just because of your position. This can include but is not limited to: Banning people you hate for no reason at all Killing people while in god/buddha mode Slaying everyone in any server for no reason Using any of your commands against random people that don't deserve it Going against/breaking our own rules

make it so we can customize the reason because it just says "breaking rules" In that case it should be "YOU'RE CHEATING"

    The Fallgame Manifesto

Since when did John(Obata) want anything to do with fallgame? He was all "QUICK GO TO THE ELEVATOR" or "Step in my garage and you are dead". Don't remember anything about him going apeshit over fallgame except him trapping lct in it. XDDDD funi meme

    [Poll] Hybrid Warning Concept

THERE HAVE BEEN NEW VERSIONS OF THE CONCEPT THROUGHOUT THE THREAD, PLEASE CHECK OUT REST OF THREAD BEFORE VOTING, THE ONE BELOW IS MY VERY CRAPPY ROUGH DRAFT. I thought about if there was a possibility there could be a plugin where the format you see below popped up on the user being warned screen where their screen gets completely filled blocking them from seeing anything except this warning. There would be a script running preventing them from slaying self to get rid of it and forces them into friendly until the countdown ends. With the hard warning they have no excuse of saying they didn't know they were warned. The command could be something like /hardwarn [user] [reason] [duration] The duration would be a functional countdown. What do you guys think about this concept? @Aegean @Rhododendron @Bello @virr @Vexx @mrnutty12 @Bone @Elcark @Lithium @Bleed
