I can agree with that. It was more of a counterpoint to "ban all these words too then". I think we should really ban words made with the sole purpose to offend, and when are not used for that reason are used because kids thinks its cool funny and edgy to use such words

The thing is most of these have developed new meanings and are not taken as insults by anyone. A few of these words are currently banned and a few more of them I can agree on banning. This list is not all things that are offensive but could be in some context. I would support banning autistic as an insult or midget, or Vegetable (window licker though hmm). These are words that hurt people, and really a general "No slurs, no derogatory slang" rule would work great. But I feel coming down and nitpicking that "oh my great aunts best friends sister found this offensive" does not help the case as the words we are discussing her do have a strong negative presence in today's society and I think we should have a tighter rein on them

An issue that we have on our servers is our treatment of slurs and offensive words. We don’t allow racial slurs and other vocabulary made to demean and offend, something that benefits the servers, But one word escapes this rule Faggot It is ridiculous that it is allowed considering the fact that the servers have such a large LGBTQ+ presence , but that is why this thread was made, to discuss and push the fact that it really should not be allowed. On Top of the fact that is offensive and often used in toxic ways, it paints the server as hypocritical. Why ban some slurs and not others? I have often kicked/muted people for slurs who then start saying faggot asking why this is allowed, why am I not muting them. It is a bad message to send. I know that there are people who wish to keep their right to openly say slurs (despite no real reason to) but really it is detrimental to the message we are trying to send and does nothing beneficial to the servers. So I ask that we vote, to enforce a ban on the word, a notion me and other mods, try to enforce already, as it hurts us, hurts them, hurts us all and sends a hypocritical message to any new and veteran players.

Keeping mod discretion and the final say is definitely necessary and ofc we can not all agree. Making the rules more definite and clear helps way more, as it is easier for mods to incorporate them, all the same. People will always whine about final say and that discretion is abuse but keeping the rules clear should help a lot

Staff discretion is iffy and having unclear rules leads to this circle of people claiming mod abuse and mods claiming rule breaking. By having set easy to understand rules, with a few mod discretion rules (Trolling, harassment to an extent) It will help rule breakers know which rule they broke and mods/admins know which rule they enforced. The way it is now I check MOTD before anything because otherwise you get into an issue of them saying you are wrong as they interpreted it different leading them to claim abuse. Rewording is definitely necessary and I would love to help with that if asked

-1 Talks over staff and player a lot. Starts a lot of drama, likes to loophole whenever possible. Is kind of a bully, intentional or not and can be rude to staff and members because of this. Active but quiet half the time and the other half is bragging or starting arguments. However he does try to have a calm non yelling voice, the issue is I think he is unaware of how disrespectful some of the things he says can be. M:4 A:7

He gave a trade offer of one scrap. And I warned him of a ban if he did not gift (Which is technicaly avoiding punishment). He came back and I asked directly if he would give him the ref, He said no, jsut no in chat. Ontop of this the spot he chose as a hiding spot was an exploit. TLDR:He was warned to do the trade and did not, he tried to avoid a ban and still did not trade

So while this definitely brings up a good discussion on spray regulation, I do no think Krampus is in the wrong at all. Poorly censored porn is not the same as cut off porn. You took two shots with direct nudity and covered it. The other spray has it cut out. On the topic of bias, everyone has a bias but I do not think in this case it is affecting anything.
