    Basically after doing the math again on my internet, I get 6 gigs, and an hour of tf2 takes 55-85 mbs. Barring any downloads I'll get 85-100ish hours of playing max per month. And these maps are just one time downloads. I'm setting my sights low and accounting for a few downloads with my 20 hours every two weeks of activity estimate. Unless I'm wrong and someone here is better at math.

    You've only just come back.

    Also it seems like your internet is very unstable by the fact you say you lose about 10 hours of tf2 just downloading one map.

    That was a bit of an exaggeration on my part, it's closer to 1 hour (though it was hyrule so maybe 2) and I've figured out the maps issue I'm just downloading them on a different device and moving the files over. Already have the three maps I downloaded last night plus Bsor, frantic, cyberpunk, abstract, lava giant, megaman, mariokart3, realms, and pretence, plus all of pokemon except kogane. I'm figuring out workarounds, my bandwidth will be strictly playing the game.

    As for activity I know I haven't been back long, but if it weren't for unforeseen computer issues the last five days I would be right around 20 instead of 11.9

     

    I only have 6gb of Internet a month, and I'm only using it on tf2, So I have a super stable and consistent activity schedule. You will be seeing me around more, starting within the next few hours, so a -1 for now is understandable but I'm confident I'll be active consistently for a long time from here on out.

     

    Plus I needed to comment so I could get notifications.

    Just got the call from the shop and only have 2.5 hours until I get my computer back. I'm only going to get more active and I'm on at a wierd time when we still have 10-15 people online and Euro mods are asleep, and it's midnight on the east coast. So you should pick me up again, all my internet limitations and finagling to make tf2 happen has me inspired to play again(living in a wierd high speed blind spot, and am using a 4g phone hotspot strictly for tf2, it somehow works really well but I can't do anything else). Plus, considering that our old activity requirements were the reason I stepped down, and I always managed (except as DM, that demotion was deserved tbh...) to get atleast 9 or 10 hours minimum, I think our new requirements would work better for me being staff. I won't ever disappear, and if I do demote me obviously, but I can manage 10-15 or so every two weeks easy, and I'm on at a fairly unique time, so it works out. The higher ups + the rest of the community should consider it.

    Our goal is to make sure that this event is fun for everyone and that no beef happens during it. I'll see if we can change anything about this situation then, as we don't want players that hate each other on the same team. If anyone else is unhappy with something or has a problem please contact me or @Tatost.

    Jk lub u bb. We won't win but these comms will be fire, someone made the grave mistake of putting me and @Shadower on the same team, so we probably shouldn't show them to anyone. I'm looking forward to this now though.

    Dodgeball was dead AF instantaneously last time we had it. Except for Johnny the young god, I can't remember a single time a non xG member played there. It just didn't bring in players, and tf2 as a game has less players now than then, it just straight up would be another dead server.

     

    There were good times, and even members from other divs joining for events, but more so than our other servers, it was only ever us on there once-ish a week, and dead all other times.

     

     

     

     

    To go the other way though, with our current server count all of them would not be populated no matter what, we'll have dead weight regardless. So if we have actual broken, not functioning servers, then replacing them with something working even if it doesn't get super populated ever would still be good.

    So I took the shaft from sprint and got 6 gigs a month of tethering. So I'm back at it again with playable internet. I got tf2 updated and that's all I'm going to play on it, but alot of the maps have been updated or just plain new maps added, so I'm looking at having to download some. I understand this is kind of a big ask, but would it be possible to get a list of map file sizes somewhere on here (or just the tgh ones sent to me on steam)? Just wondering if it's possible, or if I should figure an alternative out. Even a download all the map files would work.

     

    I'm chill with pokemon though, thank goodness we don't fiddle as much with that.

     

     

    "You shouldn't be on xG servers with a metered connection" is a valid reply, I realize I shouldn't be stuck in 2005.

    Other than this thread showing the autism of some of our moderators, its redundant.

     

    "OH EHM GEE ITS A CASUAL TRADE SERVER" yet 99.99% of the population doesn't fricking trade. Why are the higher ups even discussing this? Remove random crits to enable a more balanced gameplay where skill is involved. Im gonna bring overwatch into this where a headshot does critical damage. Requires skill to aim. Not just some dumbfuck soldier spamming rockets down a hallway.

     

    And as @Vector stated. We have other fudge on the server to compensate for vavle being a bunch of special snowflakes too.

     

    Wake up sheeple. If you back up random crits staying on the server, you're literal garbage and should go back to playing mario maker.
