The only "friendly jokes" I saw were people making fun of Icy's goodbye post despite them being told multiple times by staff like Virr or Tuna to stop. If the section about you being involved with the toxicity surrounding Icy was uneducated, then that's my b. Just be aware that this entire discussion about harassment in our community is not something to be taken lightly, so I'll go so far as to force feed people this thread as long as they get the memo.

Just going to make a reply to this, as Discord is not the ideal platform for something like this. @Dannypicacho No, I don't think everything is harassment; However, using someone's name as an insult? That's harassment. Shit talking someone to the point where they leave the community? That's harassment. Call me crazy, but are you not one of the people that pushed Icy to the point where he left the community? Sure, he may have fucked up as a DM, but that's kind of what's to be expected from someone who's new to a position of power. He might be toxic in ten manners, but that can be dealt with. My point is that there are other ways to solve these problems than going around beating people with the ugly stick. This sort of behavior makes everyone else look like an asshole. I mean, I don't have much room to talk because I know I can be toxic as fuck, but it's kind of embarrassing seeing staff members doing more hurting than helping in these situations. The entire point of me writing this thread was to make sure people at least made an attempt to help out. Not going to call out any names, but a few specific staff members seriously need to get a fucking grip and play their role in the community. If you think for even a second that this applies to you, it most likely does.

No need for the not-so-passive-aggressiveness. I'm sure he doesn't hold any bias against you, he's just illustrating a point I made earlier. I can assure you he wasn't pointing anything out for comedic value, just voicing some concerns, which was the entire point of me making this thread. Shit needs to be said, and groundwork needs to be placed to at least make an attempt at making this community the best it can be. No one here is out to get you or anything, promise. That being said, we as a community cannot be solely responsible for a player's (in this case you, Nep) actions. We're here to help you, not hurt you. As @Topaz said, if you think something is bothering you, don't be afraid to get in touch with any staff members / friends / other members to vent your frustrations. I didn't make this thread to give people a reason to snap back at someone, but to turn this community around to a point where we can hold civilized discussions without segregating ourselves out of pure rage. - Side note Yeah, I don't doubt that as I'm not a direct witness. However, I've just heard rumors that there are some ten mans that Goldfish tried to organize, but wasn't allowed to participate because player x joined with the sole intention of forcing him out of the game. That's where my problem lies, feel free to correct me if that's not the case.

I've seen and heard of the "fun" commands given to staff member being abused. I can see where LeToucan is coming from with his concern, but I'm sure the people for bringing it back must have a reasonably supported opinion. Staying neutral as I couldn't care less, so long as the staff uses their powers responsibly.

I think you misunderstand my motive here. I'm not in any way, shape or form condoning previous actions made by either Goldfish or Nep. I can understand where you're coming from, as I had to dig myself out of the hole I was digging for myself since my first demotion up until my apology thread. However, I am most definitely not condoning the actions that the members of our community are taking against these two (i.e. using their name as an insult, fat manning them out of ten mans, etc.). As members of the community, we should be the better person and at least attempt to reform them, not shut them out or harass them. Leave the past in the past, I know for a fact the people we as a community target can be good kids if you don't push them over the edge. This brings me back to the point that just because this is the internet does not mean you can say whatever you damn well please. Not to mention the fact that Goldfish himself has said that the constant harassment he's subjected to on the daily is the main reason that he acts the way he does. The video provided in the OP is a prime example of this ideology, the peers (the community) are at just as much fault as the accused (harassed person pushed over the edge).

I see it in both CS and TF2, hence why I provided some examples from both divisions. I only used those two as examples because they're widely known.
