Again, I don't really mean the word as an insult, besides it's a dumb word. I called Nutty a "pansexual" several for using the frying pan on surf and didn't get offended and took it as a joke, I called Krampus a "gaylord" (although he's bisexual) a few days ago and he didn't acknowledge it.

    ? ? ? ?heccin pans hot af smh ? ? ? ?

But uhh on topic, I've seen ya be one of the best people on the server being great and whatnot, but I have also seen the horribly insensitive bigoted stuff from you before. Now I have not seen that recently enough personally to justify a -1, but I don't particularly feel comfortable with a +1 atm. So I'll just leave a neutral here and suggest being a bit more respectful when relevant.

maybe, but i dont think that would be a big issue. I'm not sure what other metrics we can use so if you have any suggestions feel free!

Maybe join date (membership or just created account). Not as dynamic as posts or ratings, but certainly less abusable I'd imagine.

Well what would you recommend we add? I know in the past I've offered auras and projectile trails but iirc that got shot down because traders with Halloween spells were all "Hur dur dumb xG devaluing muh pumpkin bombs"

We have previously tried auras before and due to limitations with the game they don't really work good.

No problem with projectile trails personally, but me and traders have never quite seen eye to eye on such things. However it would be good to note here that we do already have stuff like the spell footsteps thing on the servers.

Should we make /rules say "Type !motd to read a full list of rules!" only? Or should we leave it and make it an option at the bottom?

I think it should just solely be the type !motd thing on its own because it only displays a small number of rules which proves to be pointless considering we have far more rules in which people have to obey anyway. Thoughts?

I'd rather people at least see the more commonly broken and relevant rules on that than force people to go through only the motd (especially if they have html motds disabled). Besides I know exactly one person who actually reads through every motd rule list they come across as most people don't intend on sticking around long enough to care about reading the full thing, on the other hand plenty of people I know do glance over the little /rules thing you get when first joining to get the gist of what is ok or not.

vote: I am perfectly fine with leaving it as is.

Shooting out of spawn baits staff regardless. It's fine.

Aside from this it creates needless wordiness and exemptions that would really only serve to confuse people more on when certain things are allowed.
It might be a little inconvenient on the less impactful maps but it is easier for everyone that way.

the one i suggested that didnt get replied to for a year?

still waiting for yet another enable objectives vote so we can play it : (

Oh we never replied? Basically arena mode logic so no respawns.
Given the nature of tgh that wouldn't work out so well we felt and did not add it to rotation.

I'm amazed that no one has gone on a rant about how he can kill anyone from any distance

Insert obligatory rant from me on how the class is complete BS in general and needs to be nerfed into the ground.

Too tired to actually go on a long tirade or something.

I mean noclip helps so you can stop bodyblocking in the first place. Secondly, just because they call something out doesn't mean they're not in a fight.

Odds are they ain't in a fight when they are calling a staff over to look at something is the point (literally never tele'd into a fight in my years as staff). Also if it is that big of a concern for you, literally friendly mode then tele to have no collisions anyhow.

Personally I find it far quicker to just goto whoever is calling something and deal with a second of unsticking instead of having to find them and float over there in noclip.

That disrupts gameplay even more raysShock

if someone is calling you over to look at something or you know they are near something bad going down, odds are they weren't doing much gameplay anyhow (from personal experience I have not once interrupted a fight with going to a person to look at whatever they are calling me for).

I've always been +1 on giving mods noclip, hasn't changed at all.

@mrnutty12 I think the main point is to make our staff as happy as we can, a huge portion of people think that noclip will make their jobs easier and more efficient at that, so even if it's considered a fun command we can always just say if it gets abused then it gets taken away anyways.  It's as simple as that, mods had CART for the longest time which, yes was mainly for jb purposes but if we're willing to give them cart on all the servers when it has the capability to cause infinitely many more problems, then why are we having such a big issue with noclip?  I'll say it one more time, this is for our staff , we shouldn't be holding it back just because someone might consider it a fun command, if it's used as such then it gets taken away, but I have a bit more faith in our staff that they wont abuse it than that.

I probably wouldn't have added the jb lr commands but that decision was made before I was in a position to give input on it to -1 them. I don't like removing people's powers as a rule of thumb for a number of reasons, but even so you removed kart recently because of this very issue. Frankly I don't find adding a (from my experience) purely fun command simply because they don't want to hop into either spectate or use our existing teleport commands to get around a worthy enough reason to give mods another fun command.

I personally never use noclip for staff duties nor do I ever see it used for such by admins outside of watching surf spawns (which spectate is already better for), so I don't know where you are getting the whole more efficient or easier thing.

Goto and tele disrupt gameplay and causes bodyblocking

you grab the person for a second and wiggle around so it unblocks you both, or tele to a teammate so it isn't a problem. Also noclipping doesn't disqualify gameplay disruption either...

  11. Still a -1, fun command as far as I am and have been concerned.

If you really need to get somewhere we still have /tele and /goto at very minimum, if you are just hovering watching people spectate still works as it always has (and arguably better since it highlights names and player outlines).
