Alright, let me go ahead and break this down step by step. Bold is my response. "So I was just playing RPG surf, then this raging little kid, named "Bonk" came on. That is partially correct. Bonk came on the server at: Sep 10, 2014 6:10:01 pm. And said hi to the server. He was not a raging little kid though as he simply enlightened everyone to his appearance. And immediately he started harassing me! Saying "hi" is not harassment. Following that initial typed word, he says "HOLAAA COMO ESTASSSSSSSSSSSSSSS". Then goes on to ask someone not to delay, in which you respond "fuck u" and then "dont tell me what to do". He then asks the server to "rtv pls" as he most likely doesn't like the map. At this point it is 6:11:30, it has been over a minute and he has not harassed you yet, in fact you have started to harass Bonk. Bonk then notices KraytosXG has xG in his name, and asks "kraytos are you in xG?". He repeats his question to which Kraytos says "no why?". Bonk asks him to kindly take the xG out of his name, at which point Kraytos responds and Bonk learns it was part of his name, not intentional. Bonk then says "kawaii pls take xG out of your name", who in this situation is Ribbit. Shortly later Bonk says again, "but kawaii i know youre not in xG so pls take those tags out". Which is a valid statement as you had a name that was not recognized. TRIVIA TIME Ribbit says_______ in response to Bonks request (he let them both know to change before the next round): a) Says "Yes I am in xG, my forum name is Ribbit." b) Says "I'm sorry, I am an xG member" c) Says "Fuck you, i do what i want, you don't know me". If you said A or B, sorry that is not correct, only the appropriate response to the situation. C is in fact the correct answer. After Ribbit says "Fuck you, i do what i want, you don't know me", Bonk says "youre not allowed to have tags on ifr youre not in the clan". Although the spelling is despicable, this is another opportunity for Ribbit to easily enlighten Bonk with the fact that she is a member. After a short period of time, Bonk slays himself for an unknown reason. Ribbit replies with "rekt". Following shortly after by saying "damn bitches be mad". Bonk replies "do you wanna get banned?". Although an interesting response, nothing has happened as of yet and almost can be taken as yet another warning. Unfortunately, Ribbit replies with "do u wanna get banned? bitches dont know shit". Bonk lets Ribbit know "because thats how you get banned" Ribbit questions Bonk's ability to do anything about the situation with saying "rofl. no he can't". Bonk assures Ribbit of his ability. Bonk says "wanna see?" With a reply from Ribbit of "u wanna see what happens?" In which Bonk is confused for a moment which leads to him asking "is that a ddos threat?" Moving on... Ribbit then later calls Bonk a "dumbfuck 10 year old" "are you fucking stupid. o wait yes you are" Bonk then bans Ribbit for a period of an entire lifetime, or 5 minutes. He also has to type in "!ban fuck 5 take them tags off". I would assume the name of ribbit at this time includes the word "Fuck" and is probably targeted at Bonk. Many question the length of this ban, as did I, until I realized how many chances Ribbit had to either tell Bonk the truth about being a member, or remove the tags. Instead, disrespect came from Ribbit and I believe a short ban was necessary. Ribbit returns. "Damn thats some funky shit" says Ribbit Bonk says, "Oh. He's back" Ribbit replies "lmfao, u mad kid?" Bonk, getting frustrated replies "fuck yopu, dude, take the tags off or its an hour ban" Ribbit obviously replies with "oh man this bitch so made, how about this" This continues, with Bonk in fact freeslaying from what I can tell one time. Eventually Ribbit is banned. There was no disrespect from Bonk. Here is a list of things Ribbit says to Bonk after I stopped with the dialogue: all it says is that you're a whiney bitch fuck u bitch u dont know hsit lil boy so mad you're a bitch nigga BTW at this point another player says "dude what do you gain from taunting an admin" just a lil bitch boy are u stupid you're clearly not an admin admins arnt 12 what a bitch boy !ban xeno (ribbit) 60 disrespect, arguing, still wont take tags off. cya If you could go ahead and let me know where Bonk was harrassing you, that'd be great. He did in fact slay you for no apparent reason, and that will be discussed by DM's outside this forum and it is a more minor point of this situation. I would like to mention that as far as I can tell, Bonk actually displayed one of the better attitudes and patience I have seen in a long time. Claiming that I am not in xG, Yes, you are correct. Hell, he even apologized about that and understand in the moments of you harrassing him and making his job difficult, he made a mistake. It's no secret that our TF2 servers have been very underpopulated as of late. Traffic has gone from our servers being full for nearly 20 hours out of the day to about halfway there part of the time, to nearly empty for the rest of the time. I remember a day where I had to actually FIGHT to get into the TGH server. I remember having to wait for quite the duration before I could even set foot in the server. Now, that's completely different. So what caused this downfall in popularity? Many would argue that Hub played an integral part of the decline of our server attendance. Some would argue that it was other factors, such as an increase of players actually playing the game vs going Friendly and just trading. Some would argue that it's in part the fault of the TF2 economy. Some would argue, in the case of TGH, that it was the inclusion of non-Nintendo maps. Whatever the reason, it is apparent that we are not the Trade servers we once were. So my question to you is this: How do we fix it? I hate going into my favorite TF2 server, only to find it only halfway populated. I hate seeing our servers being utilized only by the same handful of regulars, (No offense to anyone here.) I hate not being the central trade hub that made us popular to begin with. I hate that we have taken a downhill path that has come to this point. So, I'm asking you guys if you have any ideas on how we can fix this. How do we increase traffic to our servers? How do we reignite the interest? How do we draw attention to ourselves and bring our servers back to their former glory? I'd love to hear what you guys think.

Their duties may also include (but are not limited to) handling Promotion/Demotion lists, any disputes between XenoGamers and other clans, improving or bettering the community as a whole (this can include altering rules and regulations as well as introducing new content such as new ranks) and anything in between. Community Leaders have the final say in anything, but must first come to an agreement with each other via discussions, and therefore take time in deciding an outcome for any given situation/scenario that may be present. There are a total of five Community Leaders. This is all off the top of my head, still at school. Feel free to remove/add anything that may be incorrect or otherwise need to be added.

I'm beginning to believe this to be accurate. Searching Nintendo brings up practically nothing anymore. I think lots of people found us this way. Perhaps we should change our name back to Nintendo Sixty Force. Perhaps we should readvertise as a Nintendo server. Perhaps we should revert to Nintendo-only maps and restore some of the former glory ones. I think that would help.

TL;DR - Bonk gets a stern talking to for freeslaying(?). For future reference (as I'm sure you're aware of now), should never go on your instinct alone in determining whether someone is(n't) a Member of xG. There are a multitude of scenarios and situations that could affect someone's Membership, and because of that you should always check. Also don't need to say that a Staff member is expected to never act out in anger/frustration when dealing punishment, although I give you props for taking all that hostility. In all honesty, I would've warned about the disrespect (which should be added along with the other rules on disrespect as: "Replying in an aggressive or hostile tone towards a Staff Member when asked questions.") and gagged for it, so I'll admit you have the patience of a saint in that particular sense.

I don't see the reason for returning disrespect. If the slay and first ban were unjustified and immature on Bonk's part, why do people feel the need to retaliate by being hateful instead of just coming here right after the first ban is beyond me. And next time Bonk, don't be a dipshit and ban yourself. Just get a higher up to unban. It's not that hard if you know you fucked up. I've had to do it myself. Banning yourself solves nothing. This will show up in console after you type the command in. This can be useful if you wish to see what other Moderators+ are currently on the server. Example: 32. xG:A Tim res, admin, kick, ban, unban, slay, chat, vote Commands Used for Rule Breakers !slay <name> : It kills the man. !(un)gag <name> : It does not allow the gagged player to type in chat, although still allows them to use admin chat. !(un)mute <name> : This command mutes the player, meaning they cannot use their microphone in game. !(un)silence <name> : This is combines both the !mute and !gag command. !ban <name> <time> <reason> : This will ban a player from the server for the entered time. Entering “0” denotes a permanent server ban. !teamban <name> <time> <reason> : This will ban a player from the CT team for the entered time. Entering “0” denotes a permanent CT ban. !kick <name> <reason> : This command will kick the player from the server. !abortlr : This command will abort any LR’s that are inprogress. [Admin] !open <@all>/<@ct>/<@t>/<@me/@humans> : This command is useful for opening a door for a stuck player, but should only be used when absolutely necessary. [Admin] !vote <Question> <"Answer 1"> <"Answer 2"> <"Answer 3"> <"Answer 4"> [Admin] !cancelvote : Will cancel any active votes. Note: @!me is the same as @all. Using this command such as !slay @!me constitutes a mass slay and is punishable up to and including a permanent ban. Other Ways to Target a Player A) Sometimes there are players with duplicate names on the server that cannot be targeted simply by typing a their name such as !ban Hidingmaster. When this occurs you may do the following: 1) type !admin 2) Select "1. Player Commands" 3) Select "6. Identify Player" 4) It will then give you something like this "Hidingmaster (318)". The 318 is their player number. 5) You may now use the player number in place of their name such as: !ban #318 This may also be done by typing "status" in console. The number will be displayed to the left of the player name. B) The other solution to targeting a play is by using a #<name> command. When using this command, it is possible to target players with names such as @spec or @ct. One thing to note is that this command requires you to type out the entire name, not just a partial name. For example you can mute spectators with !mute @spec and mute a player named @spec with !mute #@spec. Recording a Demo Demo's are a great way to record what occurs in game and can serve many purposes as they are great proof of rule breaking. If you are unsure of what to do in a situation, just record a demo and consult with a division manager or division leader when they are available. To record a demo: 1) Open Console in game 2) Type "record <name of demo>" 3) It will begin recording everything in game, except for your voice 4) When wanting to end the recording, simply type "stop" in console 5) The demo will be saved in the file location (default): C: > Program Files (x86) > Steam > steamapps > common > Counter-Strike Source > cstrike with the .dem file extension To play a demo: 1) Open console 2) Type in "playdemo <name of demo>" 3) To bring up demo controls, type in console "demoui". You may type it again to close it. 4) Typing "stopdemo" in console will end and close the demo. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Commands Cont. Any commands typed with a "!" will be public. Any commands typed with a "/" will be hidden from public view. It is recommended that you use a "/" instead as it will help to keep others from impersonating admins as well as keeping what you do hidden from everyone. !admin : This will open the admin command menu. Here you can find almost all the admin commands you will need. 1. Player Commands -Slay player : Find their name on this list and press to slay them. Only shows alive players in this list. -Kick player : Find their name on this list and press to kick them without reason (Will automatically tell them "Disconnect:Kicked by administrator") -Ban player : Find their name on this list and press their name. It will go to another menu, to choose the time, between Permanent, 10 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 4 hours, 1 day, 1 week. Click "Own reason" on the next menu and type your reason in chat. If putting a reason that is more than one word, put quotations around the entire phrase. -Gag/Mute player : Find their name on this menu, and choose between Gag, Mute, or Silence. They may all be undone either through the admin menu or through commands in chat. -Ban disconnected player : Find their name on this menu, click their name (It shows their time since disconnected as well as STEAM ID too), choose a length time to ban them, and choose one of the corresponding reasons. This is generally only used for players that Mass Freekill and then immediately disconnect. -Identify player : This allows you to see who is and admin and who isn't. Click their name on this menu and it will tell you via chat if they are admin and who they are. -Remove from Queue : Find their name on this menu and click it to remove them from the Guard Queue -Team Ban : Find their name on this menu and click it, then click Ban from CT, select the ban time from 30 minutes, 1 hour, 1 day, 1 week or permanent, and choose the corresponding reason 2. Server Commands -Reload admins : Click this to reload the Admin Cache. Used to refresh Admin powers. -Remove Spray : Click this while looking at a spray to remove a spray logo, which will open another menu asking if you want to warn them, kick them, or ban them for 5 minutes -Trace Spray : Click this while looking at a spray to be notified via chat who’s spray you are looking at, their steam ID, and when it was sprayed last, and get the menu for Warn, Kick, or Ban for 5 minutes. 3. Hosties -Ban player : Find their name on the menu, click it, choose a time, choose a reason for the ban, and click it. -Kick player : Find their name on this menu, click it, and they will be kicked with reason "Kicked by administrator" -Slay player : Find their name on this menu, selected it and they will be slain automatically. -Stop All LastRequests : Click this to abort the current Last Request. 4. SwapTeam Commands -Immediately : Find their name on this menu to immediately swap their team to the opposite team. This is not recommended while alive, as it is known to cause infections in people under 12 (oh, and can be abused). -On Death : Find their name on this menu to swap them to the opposite team upon their death. When the player dies they will swap teams. -On Round End : Find their name on this menu to swap them to the opposite team upon the rounds end. They get swapped on the next round. -To Spectator : Find their name on this menu to swap them to spectators Edit: "!showmotd <name>" This command forcibly shows the basic MOTD to any member. Use common sense while applying this plugin - Use it when the player is dead, and do not use it when people actually know the rules. If you see another admin abuse it, warn them, kick them, and then ban them if you see them do it more on. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Admin only commands These are commands used by Admins only as moderators do not have access to them. A DDOS threat warrants a permanent server ban, no exceptions. Advertising Anybody posting IP addresses, links to other clans' websites, or anything of similar nature is a permanent server ban. Links to websites that are not intended to harm the server (Such as YouTube or xenogamers.com links) should not constitute permanent server bans. It is up to staff members to use their judgment to determine what should and should not be permitted. “Too Immature” to use microphone Definition of Too Immature: Screaming and yelling on the mic constantly, constantly verbally arguing after warden has asked them to stop, talking over warden constantly (as CT, if T it's Warden's responsibility to kill them if "Talking Over Warden Rebel." This is another situation in which there is a lot of judgment that must be used by staff members. There are some instances where the player is very clearly too immature to be using their microphone, while other cases are more difficult to determine. It is up to staff members to decide what is “Too Immature”, but it may be useful to have a vote (If administrator+) to determine if the server is in agreement. To avoid confusion in the server, the highest staff member on has final decision on whether or not they should be allowed to use their mic. They should consult with all staff members on, but it is up to them to make a final decision. If multiple staff members are on that have the same rank, just come to a consensus and stand behind it. Note: Do not mute younger players unless they are being immature or annoying. If they are acting calm and collected there should be no need to mute them. 1) Warn 2) Mute 3) Kick 4) 5 minute server ban Inappropriate Sprays All sprays must be PG 13 (No nudity or inappropriate content). If you find a player in violation of this, you should: 1) Cry 2) Warn & Remove - Remove their spray and tell them to not spray their spray until it has been changed. 3) Kick 4) 5 minute server ban Hacking: Hacking is not tolerated on our servers including: Bhop scripts, wall hacking or aimbot. Hacking is one of the more difficult rules to enforce as it is difficult to detect if someone is actually hacking. If you do suspect a player is hacking, consult with at least 2 other staff members on the situation. If you cannot get 2 other staff members on the server, record a demo of the player and you may post it on the forums. If 3 staff members agree that a player is hacking, a permanent server ban is appropriate (Please record a demo if possible). If staff members DO NOT agree, you may still record a demo and either pass it on to a division manager or division leader, or post on the forums. **Where 5 minute server bans are listed, this time can be altered depending on the situation. It is acceptable to ban up to 1 hour (longer if rule-breaker returns). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Other Issues Sometimes things don’t always go as planned, and it’s okay. You may hit the wrong bind, miss something that happened, or one of many other things. Don’t worry and don’t panic, just do what you think it best to control the situation. We decided to add this section to give you some insight to prepare you for when something does go wrong. The first thing to remember though is that it happens to everyone. We have all spammed our Freeday!! binds on accident before, YOU ARE NOT ALONE. I did it. I spammed freeday and it wasn’t one. This requires quick thinking, but look at how the server reacts. If the T’s are not leaving their cells and running around, it is probably best to type in admin chat “It is NOT a freeday” or something of the like. If T’s did leave cells and it is mass chaos, just apologize in chat, enforce the freeday, and run if you are a CT. I wanted to slay Tim, but I got Bob instead. The best way to handle accidental slays is to apologize and explain it was an accident. Don’t make excuses or blame somebody else (Bleed), it won’t help the situation. Also, remember that other staff members are willing to assist you with any questions or concerns. If you are unsure of what punishment is necessary, it is okay to ask them and come to a reasonable conclusion as a team. Staff members abusing Staff members are expected not to abuse commands, whether it be new plugins, fun commands, or anything of the sort. Warnings are not necessary for abusing commands as it is expected to have the maturity not to abuse. Any staff member found abusing can and will be banned by Division Managers and Division Leaders. Staff Member Relations Staff Members must act mature with one another and be respectful to everyone. If you are not getting along with other staff talk to a higher up about what can be done. If you have a grudge or problem with another staff member do not let it interfere with your server time. Be calm and respectful when on the servers and talking to staff. To quote an ex-staff: "I fucking hated the time I was admin, because the staff all had grudges against one another and wouldn't talk to each other or even discuss problems with each other. It was irritating that the staff who did their shit would get shitted on or just shit on other staff. Then they leave xG cause of all the other shiity mods/admins. If there is constant conflict and disagreement between 2 staff or even 2 groups, it should be looked at and dealt with." Do you have any evidence that directly involves her harassing you? Reason I ask is that using a case of "harassment" from the Member in question toward someone else may not have been viewed as harassment by the person receiving it. In regards to the Profile Post, that is a perfect case of "feeding the fire/troll". If someone doesn't want to acknowledge you or show you respect on the internet, just ignore them and don't try to reason with them. Keep in mind that the world wide web is full of people like this, and the best thing to do is learn to cope with it, to ignore them, or to just avoid the internet.

+1 I can show no evidence but earlier this summer Ribbit started commenting and replying some disrespectful shit to my posts. When I asked her why she was constantly, for lack of a better word, attacking me, I got no response. Speed apparently knew why and apparently I did something to her?!? In the latest thread that was posted by Egossi, there was a mass ban by Chrono. Who has banned numerous people that were involved in the thread. There was a short discussion through shoutbox between me and chrono about what happened and why they were banned, but as far as I can tell there is no reason to ban the four listed above. Whether or not you think that people's posts were low quality does not give reason to ban people for it. It is much easier to give a very clear, directed, and explicit warning to stop such activities; this is expected as a staff member. After that warning you can begin to hand out bans if deemed necessary, although that part does rely on some personal preference (some people may reach out personally one last time to try and resolve the issue, while other may ban; nothing wrong with either). The forums also feature handy tools to help with moderation, which include but are not limited to: a warning system that allows moderators to warn people of forum violations, the ability to delete posts, and even deleting threads can stop problems before they start. Now I begin to question where the limits are on forum powers for the moderators (CL's, DL's etc). In my opinion, and years on the internet, public forums are location for open communication that may or may not be moderated. Even when they are moderated there is a line of what is and isn't allowed; but this does not mean each and every moderator can ban as they please. In my opinion, Chrono handled the situation completely wrong. There was an opportunity in any of the threads that Chrono or others to give a clear warning, which up to this point I havent found (doesn't mean I'm right, I just don't see one). Also as far as I can tell, bans were given out prematurely. Also, stating that people are getting banned after you go do something is a very poor way of moderating. This allows it to continue, and will only lead to worse things. Had their posts been that bad and in need of banning, it would have happened immediately, not 10 minutes later. I did not list Kendrick in the list of people to unban because of his action following Chrono's statement that he was going to ban people. I would have... but the following actions would have justified a ban anyway. I see absolutely no reason for these bans at this point. This is meant to get an explanation, not to target Chrono. I am just looking for an honest reason to the mass bans. Also Chrono, there has been issues with people not putting valid reasons for bans. It does not help to be putting random stuff in bans either. I have been told that reasons listed were random and did not indicate the reason for the bans. @Chrono

Sorry just got home. was in a pretty intense crash coming home from school. Matsi & shadowspy pretty much summed it up. duke i guess too. the cls in the channel as well as other long standing staff all supported the rationality of the decision (prior to posting that i would ban)

You don't need to treat me like im 3, its actually a little offensive to say you have to explain something as slowly as possible. I am asking you why they were banned and what location in what forum with what post you decided "Yeah, ill go on a banning spree". Don't explain it to me slowly, explain it to me with facts.

Hmmmm. Well this, this is a nice shit storm. I wonder why Kitty is being told "If you can't handle people making fun of you then leave" instead of people saying "It isn't right for anyone to be treated like that." I have read every post. And from what I can tell this seems to be a bit of a feud. Both sides are guilty, CLs will take care of it and punish as they see fit. But the attitude in general needs to change. You hate somebody? Don't talk to them.You got a problem? Bring it to a higher up. That's what they're there for. I had problems with other members. Know what I did? I FUCKING IGNORED THEM AND WENT ON WITH MY LIFE. Now I don't see them on forums and if they're in game I don't talk to them. But I guess logic like that comes with maturity. I've straight up wanted to quit MULTIPLE times because of the toxic environment of this fucking clan but I don't because I'm misogynistic. Every where I turn is someone posting shit about someone else. People leaving because things went to far and no one stopped it. That's not right. Instead of saying, "That's just how it is."
