@Floppy Well I've read through this and from what I can tell is that either you left something out, or like you said this is flat out abuse, while minor. Well, unless it was clearly a detour/delay, there is no reason you should've killed him, although if any action was going to be taken against Floppy, I feel like more evidence would be needed to do so, since all these screenshots show is Floppy slaying people, and you saying don't abuse. Well, I agree with that part, if he didn't ask Tryler for another LR if he disagreed with the first LR he chose, then yes he would be in the wrong in a way. However, that being said, if he DID ask Tryler for a different LR, and he didn't respond, then he had every right to slay him and end the round. Again though, I think he should receive a warning, but really nothing beyond that since it isn't really a big deal. So +1 for a warning I'm not taking any sides here since idk what even happens on the servers anymore, but just my 2 cents. pls no haterino <3

it´s not simple , cause they type !motd and then they said "That´s not against the rules". we need that rule ..for me is easy to find those guys [example]. " if the surf map is tier 4 and anyone can´t beat it and then you see someone at the end" ...You think "wow that guy is good at surf" then when you spec him .you see how he beat the surf map using the cheap way, that´s unfair . he must to surf .... that´s because everyone is mad with it . i have been playing that server since 2015. i know all the players . i know their skills . don´t remove stickies jumpers and Rocket jumpers . Cause supreme is right if you remove those weapons the server die . For me the best Solution is putting a new rule, "you must not complete the map using the cheap way (using demo and not surfing at all)"

I completely agree with this. The biggest reason for people to do this is because there is nothing saying its not allowed. therefore nothing can happen to someone that does it. If we add something to the rules that goes along the lines of don't cheat to finish the map, Most will stop doing it, the small portion that continues to do it will simple be punished and it would quickly be eradicated as a whole. In my opinion this is a win-win situation, people would stop doing this with minimum effort and no weapons would have to be banned therefore no one is butthurt. Even if it is not entirely enforced just the fact that people could 'now' be punished for it would be enough for most. It would be enforced as much as spawn killing is or even less it wouldn't totally 'matter'.

So, i remember when xG Surf had Mesa on it's map list for a short while, but it was taken off because it ran into issues due to the fact it was one main spawn for both teams. Well, I was thinking about possibilities to fix the spawnkilling issue so that everybody could enjoy the lovely map that is surf_mesa. The possibilities i have in mind are: -Implement a plugin that forces everybody into friendly mode for that certain map (if that's possible) -Make it so that the invincibility of each player lasts until they leave the spawn area (once again, only if it's possible) -Force everyone on the same team for the map So the three ideas above are what could be done if it's possible, and wouldn't have that many implications (I'm assuming?). One idea that is realistic but might be looked down upon is that the rule of "No Spawnkilling" could have an exception for maps of this nature, and people could simply do !friendly if they don't want to die. I know there are a quite a bit of people who would like Mesa back, but this is still just a suggestion. Thanks for reading. NOTE: I am suggesting to reimplement mesa, not just change the rule for other maps like it, if that was not already crystal clear.

While not exactly that, there is already a plugin of that sort that exists I believe. If a staff member was on, they could force friendly fire on everyone for that maps duration, but I'm not sure if they could make it so it does that on a specific map. Well since auto balance is a thing (I think?), that wouldn't really work, since even if a staff member would force them on a team, the autobalancer would just move people over to the other team, (unless its possible to make a map specific plugin like said above) so I'm not sure if that would work. While I can't offer any other solutions to the whole spawncamping problem, when I still played I played my fair share of mesa, and even though its a very short and easy map, it is good practice for beginners to surf. So, Ima give this a +1, good luck in getting it re added :D just my 2 cents, pls no haterino

Honestly you guys, I understand that you cannot properly enforce this being a rule. But also understand that currently there is no rule that says anything like this is not allowed. I have seen many times this has happened and staff could not do anything about the situation. I made this thread with the hope of possibly making a change so that something could be done if necessary.

I do like this idea, however it has multiple issues making it do more bad than good. We would have to have staff on 24/7 to make sure no one is breaking that rule, forcing us to have to spy on all the demoman and soldiers making it a lot more difficult to focus on other rules being broken. Even when staff aren't on, I highly doubt that anyone would bother to !calladmin on anyone breaking the rule as pretty much no-one bothers to read the rules anyway. Good idea, but no. -1

If you notice rulebreakers and no staff are on, don't expect staff to know there is an issue without using !calladmin. If you see something wrong or someone breaking the rules, calladmin is your friend. I am not vouching however because I do not know you, I just wanted to make you aware of the command, when used it sends all of the staff a message immediately and any staff on that is able to handle it will come as soon as possible. If you want to calladmin without other players knowing type /calladmin instead. I hope this helps any confusion.
