Well the time has come and I think it's finally safe to say that a group full of antagonistic hypocritical faggots might not be the one for me. Now there will be memes. And a lot of these people making memes and laughing at me are going to have a hard time washing the taste of my dick out of my mouth because they're lowlife bitch boys who don't know any better. And honestly I look forward to that. Everyone I run into in any TF2 game with the xG tag is having their voice muted because honestly being cool with the servers isn't worth dealing with a bunch of cunts projecting their own flaws on other people. And if I get BANNED from the servers, I'm going to hold that up as a motherfucking trophy for as long as I play TF2. So there's no way for you to win this. Go fuck yourselves.

I have played on this map many times, and I can tell that this can be on the same level as Hotel Tower.
Like for real, it is not fun to play against a whole sentry nest when the only way to enter that area is by the teleport of the map.
Keeping in mind that something I have played with "cool" engineers that use dispensers to keep you trapped as soon as you use get there.

I have been working 70 hours a week due split between two jobs, and this has shown no signs of slowing down at all. I also feel the need to apologize for my lack of activity as well. I take great pride in my work ethic, but the display I have shown to all of you is shameful on my part. Any job, volunteer position, or commitment is a promise, and I have demonstrated poor integrity in that regard to all of the staff members, so I apologize.

Also Asian, Japanese to be specific, but that's not interesting enough.so I guess I can say I've got a spontaneous disease called Cutis Marmorata Telangiectatica Congenita (CMTC) and all it does is make my left arm bigger than my right and mottles my skin a little. Apparently "fewer than 300 cases of CMTC have been reported in the medical literature."

Sora_ reacted to Kypari in Make TF2 Great Again
Lately, me and the other TF2 higherups have noticed an uproar in people who are not satisfied with the current state of the TF2 division of our community in terms of how we present ourselves and some of the rules that they feel are far too strict. We have discussed many topics and talked with a lot of staff over the past few days for the betterment of not only their staff ability, but for the community and to feel welcomed and respected as they should be in hopes that they will continue to support and play on our servers.
I would like to do a Staff PSA in this post in hopes that everyone will see that we want to make a change to make everyone as satisfied as possible. Of course, there are times where you may not necessarily agree with the rules or such and you may not be superbly happy about the division, but we have to try to make everyone as happy as they can be to a realistic and fair degree.
Many staff members have been talked to individually about one or more of these topics already, but I would like to make it publicly known so that our current staff can find a way to improve to the upmost degree if they feel like they should be working on one of the things mentioned. Even if you feel you don't need to work on anything, please read this and try to improve on them to the upmost degree regardless in hopes that you can be as good of a staff member and role-model for the community as possible. Learning is a great way to climb positions!
Staff members should not try to interpret rules wildly from their original intent.
Recently, some people have felt as if they have been wrongly punished because staff members are being far too broad with the rules and end up punishing people for reasons that stray too far from the actual !motd. I would like to remind staff that it is completely OK to ask questions and talk to a staff member in a higher position (whether that be admin or one of the higherups) whether something is disallowed or not in hopes that this will happen less, and that I would also like to see staff try to enforce rules directly towards what they are related to.
Staff members should try to recognize the situation appropriately and take everything in context.
We have felt as if staff sometimes may not appropriately address the situation because they aren't reading the context whatsoever and jump to conclusions regarding rules such as disrespect but towards their friends and other such examples. I would like to remind staff that it is OK if someone says that it's a joke and you go back on your warning or mute/gag and to understand the situation appropriately before handing out a punishment.
Staff members should be a role-model to other people and act maturely, specifically when handing out punishments.
Just a reminder that staff should recognize that they are a role-model towards the server and many people will look up to you if they care about the community and the servers. We would like to see staff act more maturely overall and specifically when handing out punishments. This is not to say that you can't have fun and be yourself at all, but try to act more responsible and like a role-model to ensure that everyone gets a good impression of the server and so that new members and such will take into account your responsibility and maturity!
If someone disagrees about their punishment, allow them to calmly tell you why they disagree, and supportively direct them to the forums.
I cannot stress enough how important it is that you do not shut someone down and tell them "go make a ban protest lol" if they get in trouble on the servers and they disagree with their punishment. If someone disagrees, talk calmly and respectfully about why they were punished and if things escalate on the servers or if they still disagree, supportively and respectively direct them to the forums and inform them that they should make a ban protest if they feel it is necessary or contact one of the higherups to discuss their punishment. Do not shut people down disrespectfully as it often ensures that they won't come back to the server. Of course, if people continuously argue about the issue, then warn and gag/mute as normal or whatever punishment is appropriate, but always assist them first.
No talking over other people is not only for staff but for other players + regarding when to enforce the rule.
The idea of this rule is so that we don't create extreme chaos with people speaking over each other constantly and so that people don't randomly interrupt people consistently. The rule does not only apply to staff, but also to people on the server. It also does not mean to silence every person who speaks at the same time as you because you are staff. To enforce this rule correctly, pay attention to when they started speaking and if they interrupted someone blatantly rather than if two people accidentally speak around the same time and both don't stop speaking (to a fair and realistic degree).
If someone's mic isn't very good or isn't working, inform them of what isn't working and give advice instead of saying "fix your mic".
Staff should always try to help people if someone on the server's mic has a lot of background noise and assist them in how to fix it rather than just simply stating "fix your mic". For example, if you can hear their in-game audio, tell them to plug in some headphones to prevent the in-game audio from coming through their mic. If they do not comply, then follow the extended mute system up to a day (warn -> mute -> day mute -> hour ban etc).
Staff should always remain unbiased as possible.
In order to prevent unfair punishments and arguments, try to remain as unbiased as possible and put yourself in someone else's shoes before handing out a punishment just in case you feel that you may be being rash. It is impossible to be entirely unbiased and there's no way to prevent that, but try to be as unbiased as possible to a realistic degree to ensure that most people feel that the punishment handed out was just and fair.
Staff members should always be respectful to not only players, but other staff too.
Remember that you are a role-model and that treating others with a lack of respect will not only encourage them to break rules, but also feel unwelcome to the server and community as a whole. Regardless of the situation and whether they are a rule-breaker or not, treat everyone with the same degree of respect. This also heavily applies to staff members. If you don't like a staff member, remember that you are working with them and not against them, and that they are also a member of the community as well and should not be treated any less than such. There has been a lot of drama recently regarding a few staff members and we would like to see no more of that and for everyone to treat each other respectfully.
Try to be less strict regarding the immature voices rule
We are hoping to see staff hold back a bit more regarding the immature voices rule as we feel that staff are jumping to stop people from harmless fun on the mic far too quickly. For example, if someone does an impression of myself having fun on the server, let them but not to a consistent level and as long as people aren't getting annoyed by it. However, do not forget that this is still a rule and is still not allowed, but let people feel a bit more free regarding the rule.

This is a very hard post to make.
Please remove my membership status from forums, discord, etc.
The main reason I'm leaving is because someone like me, a member who proudly wore the [xG] tag for so long and was a former staff member to boot, shouldn't be representing xG. What happened is I was saying some stupid stuff (like, really bad) on YouTube comments* I regret and am very sorry for. Someone recently brought them to my attention (I forgot all about them). I was immature, and, well I guess I've changed since then. I feel really really bad about them.
*Don't bother looking for them I deleted my channel
I want to say sorry to @Tatost and anyone else who may've been affected, and also one last time to @bagggel for something that happened awhile ago where I was also immature in the Minecraft division.
But there's another big reason I'm leaving xG; I just got bored of it. I rarely find myself on xG servers anymore, and as such I'm not very qualified to partake in forum discussions so that's out too. I guess there's just not much here for me anymore ?
I just can't find the words to express my gratitude and love of some of the amazing people I've had the pleasure of becoming friends with here. It's been such a gift to have met such wonderful personalities. @ClassicGamer64 @Natsu @Krampus @virr @Aegean @Chrono @YeEternalTuna @Kypari @CappyCappy @Egossi @ael_fjordling @shwash @TBOHB @Caleb956 (and these are just the people I feel closest to, you guys rock!!)
xG has no doubt led to me growing as a person and it will always hold a special place in my life.

I cannot begin to express how thankful I am about joining this clan. When I first joined Nintendo Sixty-Fortress 5 years ago, I could have never guessed the amount of genuine, authentic friendships I would develop within this time. I apologize if this whole post sounds a bit weird, but I just want to thank everyone for making xG what it is for all of these years. Here's to many more!

So I'm leaving xG. I bet a lot of you are thinking "Oh boy, here comes some juicy drama", well then prepare for disappointment.
For about a year now, I've felt weird. I felt like something was off whenever I joined and played (what little I could) and I just couldn't pin down what it was. Today, it suddenly came to me, it's not 2013/2014 anymore. The community just doesn't feel like it did when I first started playing, or even when I came back in 2015. A lot of people would argue that xG used to be better. Some would say xG is better now than it's ever been. I just say it's different. It's not any better, it's not any worse, just different. Players and Staff have essentially rotated and have been replaced with newer people, and along with the rotation so has the general attitude on the servers. While that's not a bad thing, it's just not what I grew accustomed to.
For a while now, I've attempted to keep what little of the xG I knew intact, by trying to keep rules the same, revert things to how they were, but realized that I'm the only one who wants it that way. Everyone says they remember when xG was at it's peak, but they'll all give you a different answer on when that was. For me it was when I first started playing, back when there was a specific group of us who would play on VSH. Problem is, the majority of those people are gone now, and due to that I've been becoming increasingly bitter towards the community because "it's not old xG, not how I remember it".
But it wasn't really so much xG changing as it was me refusing to go along with it and clinging to how it was nearly 5 years ago with a completely different group of people. The biggest issue for me though was when @Bello stepped down from DL. Someone who was Staff for as long as I could remember, and someone I considered one of the best Higher-ups we'd ever had in the TF2 Division. For some reason I felt like because of that the community would start going to hell with all these strange new Staff members wanting to come in and ruin the community. This almost made me feel contempt for the community, simply because they wanted to change a few things or acted differently. I couldn't even read half of the discussions on Discord without feeling like I was gonna have an aneurysm. Again, this was essentially me fabricating problems and overreacting to small amounts of drama I'd see unfold, becoming unnecessarily disappointed with our new Higher-up roster for really no reason.
It wasn't until earlier today when I reacted to a post in a way I don't feel I normally would. It doesn't really help the fact that I was also wrong. After re-reading a lot of what I wrote, I realized I was reacting in a way I didn't like, based on the fact I didn't like the Higher-up because we had small issues before and because he's new to his position. So I came to the conclusion that I should simply remove myself from the community before I cause any real issues or divisions.
I really don't want to leave, since I consider xG to be a bit of a home for myself, as dysfunctional as it may be sometimes, but I can't really have a home I feel borderline disdain for.
I'd like to apologize to @Elcark for essentially telling him that he's not fit for his position while simultaneously being horribly incorrect myself.
I'd also like to thank @virr and @Aegean for just being helpful in general and pulling the TF2 Division out of some tight spots sometimes. For anyone else who may have viewed me as a friend during my time in the community, thank you.
I don't know if I'll ever return to xG, but if I do, I'd hope you guys would welcome me without pitchforks and torches.
    Seeya.

Sora_ got a reaction from nuen in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
    Game Name:

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

    Platform:

    Nintendo Switch

    Time Spent:

    ~90 hours

    Do you recommend?

    Yes

    What you rate the game:

    9.5

    Initial Thoughts:

The beginning of the game was like opening a mystery crate; it was mysterious, the controls weren’t all unlocked yet, everything was interesting and it just kept revealing new things to me. The gameplay was easy enough to pick up and the starting enemies were perfect for easing the player into the flow of battle and also basic mechanics. What really kept amazing me was the scenery-- it never failed to amaze me.

    Gameplay and Story:

Admittedly, the story wasn’t too important or in depth. It was the typical ‘Ganon is evil and did a bunch of evil things and you gotta save Zelda.’ But, the sheer amount of gameplay and features in Breath of the Wild compensated. There were many hidden mechanics that aren’t explicitly taught (i.e. crouching dashes, shield surfing, and mounting certain enemies). Finding them or learning of them made the game interesting and more in depth as compared to previous Zelda games. In my opinion, one of the best parts about Breath of the Wild is the ability to be creative in whatever you do. For example, there’s always more than one way to take on an enemy; you could sneak strike them from behind, you could rain arrows on them or you could use a Korok leaf to blow remote bombs on them. There’s just so many different methods of doing things. That said, as a player, I constantly found new items, methods and little easter eggs scattered about the gigantic map.

There are so many points of interest in the game that honestly, I would have expected more quests for them. This brings me to my other point: quests. You have your Main Quests such as “Defeat Ganon,” Shrine Quests, and Sidequests. Although some quests are the same (i.e. Defeat x!, Gather these items!, or Find x!), some are genuinely interesting to play through. One quest that stands out in my mind relates to the construction of an entire town from the ground up (Literally named From the Ground Up). It’s the longest quest in the game, but playing through it was fun and interesting in my opinion.

    Backstory:
The backstory to this game is essentially the basis and catalyst for all the game's events. To summarize, everything that happened in the past with Ganon and all has a direct effect on the present in which the game is playable. Some characters are the ancestors of characters of the past that may or may not hate you for your actions or lack of action. Overall, I'd say the backstory does well to support the main story, but the story as a whole falls short of other games.

    Pros:

Scenery (Probably the best part about playing the game is just looking over after climbing a mountain and enjoying the view.)

Fluid, Adaptable gameplay that evolves as you learn

Lots of Content and Easter Eggs (Like Mr. Iwata/Botrick here.)

Exploration/Map Size and Good Difficulty Curve

    DLC and Future Updates Planned

    Cons:

After beating the game, it gets difficult to find new things to do.
Many quests or goals are very tedious and require a lot of resources, time and patience.
You can find many weapons, but there are no permanent weapons other than the Master Sword.
Travelling to places without fast travel points is tedious and having a horse around isn’t always guaranteed.
Resources are always limited, so grinding for enough or just peace of mind is inevitable.

    Final Thoughts:
Breath of the Wild, in my personal opinion, was a brave new step in the right direction for the franchise. It’s open world exploration and mechanics were very interesting to play through and provided many countless hours of playing. I usually get bored fairly easily, but this game kept showing me new things to do and new places to check out-- I haven’t even finished all the quests and shrines yet. And because DLC is on the horizon, the game is guaranteed to provide even more content. Anyone can pick up the game and start playing; you don’t have to be a fan of the series already, which is one feature I like about it.

    -1, to both aspects.
I'll start with admin, as there are very few situations where i'd be ok with promoting someone straight to a higher position like that. Namely the only case I could think of would be if someone had to step down due to not being capable of being active enough and return not too long afterwards. This is neither of those cases as you stepped down, regardless of reason, of your own choosing and have refrained from being staff for a substantial amount of time. It is entirely unfair to other staff members who have had to consistently work and put in effort to reach a position for someone else to come up from nowhere to receive it based on merit and not on actual effort put forward. Staff positions are not something that should be treated as a welcome basket for people to receive as they come and go at their pleasing. The concept of someone leaving their position whenever they just don't feel like being active again and returning back into it whenever they change their mind is ridiculous (Not to say that is the case, but it's a matter of upholding the principle).
Now if someone is suitable for a position, then really there is no reason that person shouldn't be  able to rise to that spot in short order. If they aren't capable of doing that, then that should be telling of if they were actually suitable still. Not only is this the most direct way to actually show this, but it's also the most direct way for you to show that you're wanting staff because you're putting the servers first, not because you want a position. I hold it in high regard that not only upcoming or returning ones but all staff members should be more then willing to do their work regardless of what position and powers they hold, because the first and foremost thing on their concern should be helping the server which can be done just as equally regardless of rank.
Now when it comes to you getting staff, this is the much less hard -1. The first thing I usually tell most people who come to me and ask about getting staff is to try and act like staff when on, and you haven't been. The most you usually do in regards to this is calling out people of breaking rules frankly somewhat rudely most the time, which anyone can do. The goal is not to police the server, but to moderate them so they can be as enjoyable of a place for everyone. When punishing people for something going wrong it's also about helping them to understand exactly how things should be, and just in general being a helpful person to everyone on the server and someone that is viewed as reliable, friendly,  and people can come to with their issues if need be. Now I really probably didn't need to tell you much on that but honestly i'm making this all more of an address to about the whole concept. When it comes to you personally, a big thing is that you are plenty talkative with your friends, but not nearly as much to the rest of the server. That's definitely a direct thing that could be worked on that would be toned to the whole concept.
To put it all a bit shorter, you were a good staff in the past, but the past doesn't tell us about now, it only allows us to make assumptions on what could be. I'm concerned about the here and now and what is. Show me that you can do well now, and everything will be great.
