You're able to disable both voice and text chats. I do that all the time when I play on non-xg servers. I used that while I wasn't staff. So if they have chat disabled, this would be the best choice. Even though it is really in your face, it's helpful to those who disable text/voice.Yeah I know you can disable all that stuff, thats why I said in some cases this would be helpful, however my point still stands. If they don't see our warnings and get punished accordingly, that is their own fault, not ours.

This is true, yes... but when it starts to result in population loss because they think they didn’t do anything wrong and as mentioned might ignore the kick message come back (or not) and do it again, get banned and never come back. This hurts us as we loose players that might have or might not of made an honest mistake. I sometimes miss the notices other staff members or donators put up. It’s just not in a direct line of view where the player is really focusing.This would grab their attention and be easier to read.
Surf is the server that gets the most punishments dealt in. If you notice how many times within the last 6 months that I (and other surf staff) have had to ban people, you would realize how critical something like this could be, even a test run would be grand.
I agree that surf has a lot of punishments and something like this would be nice in SOME cases. But like @virr said, if they don't read our chat warnings and they get in trouble that's their own problem. Most times (in my experience at least), people just flat out ignore anyone saying anything and carry on with their business, only way they listen at all is when they get kicked/banned(and come back after the ban). Not too sure if it would really help much in the end, most staff have mics, if they don't listen to the chat warning, give a verbal warning then do a kick/ban/whatever. From that point on its the offender's fault for not listening.
I would agree more down the lines of what @Bone said, and just make the @ chat color stand out more so it's easier for people to read.

the red/black/white one? yeah that's a fan, there's a second one that comes up from the bottom enclosure onto the MB too... They were just some spare fans I had, I'll probably replace them soon since they are kind of ugly bright yellow LOLYea the cables seem out of place but no problems with using spare fans haha, build still looks really impressive, nice work on it :)

Ran out of things to do really fast, I personally think a world reset would get new players on the server, while keeping the others playing, will give them something new to do. I know it would make me play a lot more. +1
Like Cap said, maybe keep the old spawn for the time being when you reset the world while working on the new one.

How is this actually abuse? You didn't provide any evidence that you weren't disrespecting or trolling, literally a screenshot of the mute.. It was a 30 minute mute, fix up your behaviour and you'll be fine.
And by the way, after said gag/mute you just insulted him because you didn't get your way..
Not really helping your case here.

Atamoose joined this morning saying that he was kicked from his town, he doesn't believe he was actually kicked, so it was probably a glitch. He also said all of his advancements(achievements) were reset. To me this sounds like his player file got messed with for whatever reason, probably a way to rollback that without rolling back everything on the server.

He's in trouble for a reason.I think we all get that point, but the member of question himself probably didn't even know you were telling him anything. Banning someone for not reading chat on a server that the chat always goes fast is immature in my opinion, you didn't try anything else except saying it in chat over and over again. Sure he can get banned for harassing people, but the main reason of the ban and what you've been arguing against was his name.. if it was that much of a problem isn't there a /rename command or was that removed? Idk its been a while. If he was harassing other people constantly, MAKE SURE he knows people are telling him to stop, if he knew and he continued, then ban him for a day/week or something, but a month because his name was bugging you? Sounds pretty ridiculous if you ask me.
Like has been said before, warn (make sure they understand the warning, or even saw it) ->kick(With reason included in message)->And THEN ban(With final conclusion on the matter). I always let the procedure stand for the day I first warned someone, if they did it again in the same day, then I would take a different course of action, then the next time however long after that I wouldn't be so lenient.. But two years later and you are still holding him to the fact that he was banned THAT LONG AGO? Seems a bit off to me, like you have some hard feelings against him that you let effect the ban even though staff are SUPPOSED to be unbiased, the way I take that is a staff member is not supposed to give someone more time on a ban just because you don't like someone. And that's what I'm getting from all of this, but ay.

I warned him twice just to check if he was paying attention. He clearly wasn't so I just banned him.Isn't that when you should've kicked instead of banning..? Not everyone in the game reads chat, I do agree a month ban was excessive, I think you jumped the gun here when you saw what happened years ago.
+1 for shortening ban a little bit.

Any ETA on staff and guest permissions fix? People keep getting their stuff destroyed since they can't make a town, just asking for a few people.

Actually, it is toggle-able but by default its set to OFF.To use the spawner, you may need to risk your towns safety as far as I can tell.

Yeah that's correct, I meant by default it doesn't allow them in the town
