  1. @Rhododendron I think this might have something to do with that stuff that you used stripper for.
  2. If you have any unusual effects on your weapons, try removing the unusual effects. This is a problem with the unusual plugin (I think) and there's really no way I know of fixing it.

    XG Discord?

Sigh, Another Topic About Discord | Xeno Gamers Bring An Offical Discord Server | Xeno Gamers Should Xg Have A Discord Server? | Xeno Gamers Already 3 or 4 threads on this. You can look through those for any reasoning as to why not we don't have one. There will never be an official xG discord.
  4. The map creator for the new clocktown has explicitly told me multiple times that keeping b2a on the map list and also having this new version would create issues on peoples clients. I replaced it for the time being so that people didn't experience issues, but of course it is still happening. The map maker is working on a fix for all the sounds bugs so it will be fixed very soon.
  5. -1 You were warned many times before being banned, don't see any reason to unban.
  6. I know this has something to do with unusual effects on weapons, I'd try resetting any effects you have and trying again.
  7. User will not be unbanned. @Bello @mrnutty12 @Sesh Feel free to re-open if you disagree. -Closed.
  8. What does that have to do with micspamming?
  9. Should just give this guy a warning, no point in jumping straight to ban even though his behavior is quite awful.
  10. Considering the ban is almost over anyway, I'd say we unban. @Bello, @mrnutty12, @Sesh thoughts?
  11. Is this...real? Saying you have autism is not excuse for acting like that, @ThunderLimes what is your reasoning?
  12. User has been un-team banned. -closed
  13. I honestly don't even remember banning you, so I'd be 100% fine with you being unbanned. +1
  14. While I did not research the original ban as I should have, I did talk with a lot of my staff about how brian has been in the server, and have even witnessed some of it myself. Rejects was cut no slack, he was demoted all the way to member, though there was talk about just dropping to probationary mod for a bit there, in the end it was a full demotion so that no bias was shown. Once again, just because he was staff previously does not mean he should be "cut come slack". Brian has never personally insulted me, nor do I dislike the guy. Fairness is what I'm going for here, and sure I already admitted I did make a mistake by not investigating properly before hand. A two week silence was proposed in terms of a punishment, due to his behavior.
  15. That is the words of players Aegean, Kypari is one of my staff. He knows what he's doing usually, and in the event sourcebans was working, he would've made the ban instead of me and nothing would have been changed. If I can't go on the word of my staff on the servers, how am I supposed to make an unbiased decision on most of what I am doing? I already said you were right, I should have gotten the other side of the story, but I will still in the end trust my admins with these sort of situations. It doesn't matter if someone was once a great staff member, they should still be punished like a normal user nonetheless. I'll agree that yeah, a bit of criticism isn't bad, but if your entire intention for being on is just to start a shitstorm with the current staff online, why have that user around? As has been stated many times, Brian has had a history of insulting users and staff and has been quite toxic as of late.
  16. Well you are right, I should have gotten more to the story before putting in the ban, but I figured I'd do it because sourcebans wasn't working anyway, and @Kypari is one of my staff which of course I will trust him in most situations. As for @Brian's ban, I will propose we drop the ban down to a much lower time, as sure, a month ban may seem a bit much in the event he did not see his warnings. In the future though, please try to pay attention to chat in the event this comes up again. There's really no middle ground when it comes to warnings, we can't do voice because someone may have their sound muted, and we can only count on the user paying attention to the chat when it does come to warnings. When it comes to the time we should lower it to, I will propose we lower it to a week. The user in question still had the intention and a history of instigating our staff on the server, and I feel it would be completely unfair for us to drop the ban completely.
  17. If you think that bans from years/months ago shouldn't count against a user, I would really recommend adding it to our admin handbook: TF2 Staff Manual (Everything you need to know!) | Xeno Gamers. I really do not want to confuse our staff with ban lengths and what ban should falloff when, our staff has only known to take standard procedure, regardless of time. With this, we will probably have to take a look at some of our permanent bans that have been issued to users who have faced the same form of punishment, as I know it has happened before with a user facing a punishment that they had last faced a year ago. If you really feel like it's unfair, we could lower the ban time or remove it completely. Ultimately I would like only a fair and balanced punishment.
  18. Well in the event it was accidental, no. But if it was an intentional freekill, and you had been warned and kicked up to this point, then yeah it would be a month ban since you knew it was against the rules, and knew you would eventually face repercussions for it. Once again, if you'd like we can add a falloff date for bans to about a year or so, but it's something I highly would not recommend.
  19. Sourcebans being a bit messed up does nothing with kicks. Sourcebans only records mutes and bans, which will keep a player banned from all servers. With Sourcebans not working correctly on TGH, it only keeps bans and mutes for a client session or until a map change. As for the month ban, it is following standard procedure. There really is no falloff to punishments, and if there needs to be one we could talk about getting one. Though, in the event there is a falloff for bans, we would most likely have to start unbanning permanently banned players after said falloff date, which would make a permanent ban useless. Edit: Kypari also stated that the user was kicked and warned the night before by another staff member, so the user was warned for his rule-breaking activity, albeit a day before this incident.
  20. Staff are given the same rules to enforce as you are to follow. They are also given this guide to use: TF2 Staff Manual (Everything you need to know!) | Xeno Gamers and also do need to heed to the donator rules, which is where your complaint falls into. The reason why we didn't used to enforce the scareme thing was because anyone could use it. It was changed to donator only, as it was originally intended, and was then enforced as a donator command, falling into donator abuse if someone used it to gain an advantage. And once again, what one staff member may see as racist, others may not. Different staff members live in different parts of the world, racist comments in one place won't be the same in others. As for the one you were mentioning, the user in question seemed to be just spouting garbage, and inherently pretty harmless. You said a slur which, you were told not to say, which is why you were punished.
  21. I honestly cannot see the angle you're aiming for here, are we talking about slurs or are we talking about staff incompetency? Slurs are never going to be allowed so I would never count on that. As for inconsistency with how staff handle situations, that is something that can't really be fixed either. As humans we are all different, no two people are going to handle their position the same way. While one staff member may be a total "Hitler" admin, the other might be incredibly laid back and not really do much of anything. We cannot change how people think, and us having the rules the way they currently are helps us keep a non-toxic environment. Also, Stop quoting this. This was something said by a comedy based YouTuber, and has no real substance in an actual argument against not allowing slurs. What you are pushing for here does not really seem feasible, nor does it seem like a very right thing to do. I've played on servers where there is basically "no rules, say what you want" and honestly those were some of the worst I've visited. The last thing I want xG filled with is 15 year old's thinking that 9/11 jokes are funny and spouting racism at every user that decides to even turn the camera in their direction. There's a reason why things are the way they are, there's really no point in changing what has already worked for so long.
  22. It doesn't even show you're currently banned on sourcebans, thread is useless. -Closed
