  1. Thread is going to stay open, It is a community vote.
  2. I've usually ignored people recoloring themselves in friendly, as after one shot it's easy to tell that they're in friendly mode. I usually only punish people for friendly abuse, not recoloring themselves. Though, you really should keep your voice on to listen to staff, if you don't want to hear people just mute everyone but the staff members through your in-game menu. Though I'll admit, staff should give a clear warning in text chat through all chat if in the event the player is not listening, not doing so makes you look pretty incompetent.
  3. Says you were banned for ignoring staff. @Tatost, what's up? Link to ban: Xeno Gamers
  4. As for the map list being over populated, people used to complain all the time that we didn't have enough maps. I personally think it's better to have more maps and not less, variety keeps things interesting. Anyone can nominate a map at any time, use nomination to your advantage if you want to play a certain map. As for broken maps, if you get me a list of maps that are legitimately broken to the point of it causing bad problems on the server, I will have those maps removed.
  5. I honestly have no idea what to say about this. Even though adding that attribute really gave you no advantage, you did do this in the past, and were talked to about it. As for the /rof thing, I could understand it being mistake as I have made the same mistake before, but you act as if you did that on purpose. I'm not sure as to what to do about this, @Bello @mrnutty12 @Sesh, what do you guys think?
  6. To clear up complaints, if we wanted to get rid of every "bad map" we had, we'd get rid of maps like Delphino airstrip, cyberpunk and Hotel Hell. Just because a map is bad in your eyes, does not mean others find it bad. As for Apadiel, I quite enjoyed the map which is why I had it added in the first place, one of the few maps that gives you something to do other than killing each other. If you don't like the platforming on it, I could make it easier by having @Bello or @Rejects have the map auto-set low gravity when the map starts up. Other than that, I do not want to remove the map because it's "bad" because honestly, there are worse maps on the rotation. -1
  7. Most staff members give a warning through all chat. With that being said, if someone wanted to impersonate a staff member over voice, the old tag system would not have helped with that at all, as all it required was just simply putting on the tag. This is why we allowed for them to choose between the two, because if the staff does use mic more, they can use the name tags. If a staff member uses chat more, they can use the titles. This system of identifying staff gives the staff members more freedom to choose how they are seen as staff, through tags or titles. Also if in the event you do need to find all the staff members, we have a steam group for that: Steam Community :: Group :: xG Tf2 Staff Group, we try to keep it as up to date as possible.
  8. Sv_pure is left off I would guess to give people a more customized experience. Could you give an example of any mods/skins that give an unfair advantage? I wasn't sure if there were any.
  9. Going to stay neutral, I would've liked if you had actually spent the original 50 post count you were supposed to get on actually participating in the community. Instead you just spam bumped old membership applications when you could've just reported them or let a DM+ know in a private message. The way you went about getting your post count has left a not so good impression on me personally, so I will stay neutral to this application.
  10. You can add your own tags to your steam friends. If you feel that you're going to have a difficult time finding them, click the drop down arrow next to their name and click "Tag as..." to tag them.
  11. Apadiel is based off "A Hat in Time" so that's the closest we can get off a conne map that has anything to do with gaming. As for Bsor, the entirety of Bomb-Omb battlefield is on that map so I'd rather keep it. We're not going to bring back edventures as, it causes people to crash due to a memory leak and the sounds on the map are as obnoxious as they come.
  12. No more Conne maps, those have little-to-nothing to do with gaming history.
  13. I'm going to -1 based off the application itself. Please give an actual age and reason for joining when making an application.

  15. Ban will be reduced to a month. -Closed.
  16. Alright, I'm gonna say we drop the ban down to a month. @mrnutty12 @Rejects
  17. We do have a process. Even though the user did not break the same rule every time, he still broke the rules enough down the chain to a permanent ban. After looking it over, the admin handbook never explicitly says how to go with ban times and the way they should be handled for repeat offenses, so I'm going to guess that is left with staff discretion. No rules were changed, the only recent change on the guide was a spelling mistake. My original post about closing the thread was typed up when I had just woken up, so unfortunately I was not thinking straight. With how we have been doing it, no bias is present, every user gets the same amount of chances. If it is too hard for people to understand that breaking the rules many times will result in a permanent ban, no matter the offense, then maybe we should really change things. I do believe every person should have the same amount of chances, so that bias does not exist.
  18. Also @mrnutty12, your opinion would be appreciated as well.
  19. I was really sure that all of his bans were for the same thing, since I know I have warned him way too many times about this exploit. Most of the time he would do it up to a kick, then stop or leave. My mistake, I'll lower the ban to a week. -Closed. Edit: After talking with higher ups for a bit, we have realized this kind of system is incredibly abusable, as one person could just go down the line breaking rules and never really receive too harsh of a punishment. After looking over how other staff have done their bans for the longest time, I have realized that they have all really done the same thing, so there is really no reason why we should give this user special treatment. The user chose to ride down the punishment line to a permanent ban, and that is how it will stay until we discuss it further. I will open the thread back up for more feedback, but I do truly believe the user should stay permanently banned.
  20. @Bello @Rejects, what do you guys think?
  21. +1 I've seen him in deathrun quite often, pretty good player. A: 8/10 M: 9/10
  22. I had warned you so many times to stop doing what you were doing. To fill others in, when you do the "Meet the Medic" taunt in shallow water it makes an incredibly loud and annoying noise, a game bug that has been in tf2 for way too long. Every single time you were banned you were warned, kicked, and banned. You refused to stop doing the exploit no matter how many times we told you to stop.
