Or, you know, it would get people to change the maps more often because I always hear whining about staying on certain maps forever. Clearly since people go overboard with it and actually crash the server, there needs to be some level of control. (Don't think I don't know. I get emails everytime the server crashes.)

Not talking about his opinion. It seemed like he had fun. I'm talking about the 30 emails a day I get from server crashes. Not all of that is plugins or maps.

I like these, except for rule 2, the server does not crash unless the person spams it like a madman. Halloween bosses almost never crash unless you spawn like 5 merasmuses. Aia @all with rockets can be a problem if they rof @all 10. Nukes don't crash if you spread them out or don't spam them. Smash @all does not even lag unless you spam etc. Just say dont spam the commands and the servers won't even crash once

My two cents. If the other DM's/DL's like the idea, we will begin immediately enforcing this suggestion: 1. Admin Abuse Days can be an LR request, but once it is requested, it MUST pass a 70% vote in server before the next day actually begins. If the vote doesn't pass, the next day becomes a normal Freeday. No reselections are permitted. 2. When Admin Abuse Day begins, Admins are allowed to abuse their server commands, but cannot use any commands that would otherwise crash the servers. This includes spawning bosses, using the Halloween Smasher, AIA with Rockets/Stickies, or launching Nukes. Everything else, including commands such as noclip, grab, powerplay, ROF, and goto are all fair use. Simply put, don't use anything that has the potential to crash the server and you're fine to abuse the rest of the day, and make sure you reset all commands before the next day begins. 3. Admin Abuse Day ends the second the round is over. 4. Admin Abuse Day should be limited to every once in a good set number of rounds. It isn't an LR that should be selected every other day, because not only does it need to pass a server vote, but it is also a round where no winners will be selected. Admins need to use Admin Abuse Day to their discretion. I probably would limit it to, at most, one Admin Abuse Day an hour or so. 5. Play resumes as normal the following day. 6. If someone requests an Admin Abuse Day and one has recently been done, deny the request and have them select something else. 7. If a server crashes because of Admin Abuse Day, the Admin responsible can face disciplinary actions, and Admin Abuse Day will no longer be tolerated for the remainder of the day. I feel like Admin Abuse Day is an integral part of the JB experience, and gives our Admins an outlet to abuse their powers every once in a while, which I feel translates into less ACTUAL abuse in other servers. I don't think it's wise to do away with it, but I do feel it needs some sort of control. It shouldn't be free range, and servers shouldn't be crashing because of it, and it also shouldn't be happening willy-nilly either. The server should be in agreement to participate in said event and it shouldn't be thrown at everyone without the permission or expectation of the server beforehand. @Moosty @kbraszzz @Ohstopyou @Rejects Feel like this is a fair compromise?

Er, could you elaborate on what you mean? Are you asking if any of them are "moderator worthy" here at XenoGamers? Or are you asking if they are worthy on that particular Forum. I'm ássuming it is the latter due to the title of this thread, but I'd like to know for the sake of clarity.

How about this? You may only do it ONCE per map, and it must have a vote with 70% or more. If you want to have it as a warden, or for lr, you must ask if there was one previously on the map. If there was, no beans.

So I was banned last week for reason "Trolling/harassment". I would like to ask for some specifics as to where this happened, because I simply posted my own opinion on the matter, and then responded to quite a lot of hate coming my way. I don't see why I was the one banned when I was the one being verbally assaulted by many of the members here. I don't want people to be against me, I just want to post my own opinions without fear of getting banned because people don't agree with it. If you wont let me do that, then I will gladly not post on threads here. What are your thoughts on the matter, everyone?

I didn't even really know this was an actual thing until I read the thread. That, and the fact that I'm expecting my wife to give birth literally at any moment, I mean...I can't exactly be on top of EVERYTHING that happens here 100% of the time. Cut me some slack. If it exists and has an issue to this degree you should have set rules for it to begin with in the first place, if you guys actually had seen how things work on jailbreak without having to watch some guys youtube video, this thread shouldn't even be a thing and neither should abuse days.

There's no rule for what you just said, so either make it one or just don't allow abuse days anymore cause they are overused and pointless just like everything else in jailbreak.

Admin Abuse Day isn't possible unless an Admin is on anyways. We shouldn't be doing Admin Abuse Day AT ALL unless an Admin+ is on, so I don't see your concern. The point is to make it so that the Admin Abuse Day is still available, but only if the server is willing. This isn't something JB HAS to do. It's something we're ALLOWING to happen, but it's causing us issues. Hell, I'm 100% fine just doing away with it altogether, but it seems there's a demand for it. Either we regulate it strictly, or we just don't do it at all. There's no middle ground.

That's exactly what I said. I figured it was common sense, but apparently people find it funny or have no self-control with these kind of things. Which is why I posted on this thread in the first place. I don't care about his comments, it appeared he was having fun (Muself?). I care about what I saw and how that's probably why the servers are crashing.

I say if they crash the server, they don't know their limits, so it's their own damn fault.

I wasn't talking about the crashing situation I was referring to everyone acting like we got a bad rap for doing shit like that. In other words I was trying to say It's not that big of a deal so don't worry about it. If it really hits home with you kiddos, you are super offended by these instances, and you wanna fix the crashes by all means petition to add a staff rule that doesn't allow you to do over the top shit that WILL crash the server. I just thought everyone knew that it was common sense not to try to crash the server by blasting the map with 80 nukes, but I suppose not.

Now while I wasn't on that day, that is not most admin abuse days are, at least from my personal experience. Most days its us getting put in carts, buddha, nukes, etc. Not once in my entire time playing here have I seen it how it was shown in the video. Either that or I have a really bad memory :D

I don't think there is a problem keeping it open, no one is really shit talking eachother or spamming. My opinion is maybe only admins can do the vote for abuse days or choose it for lr, still do a vote, and that is after every 10 or so rounds.

This is a different game I play and I want a third party view to see if they would qualify as moderators in honestly any game. @Matsi @Forest There is always complaints on the "lack of decision making" when the Developers choose moderators. I am just curious how you guys would see them if you were a new player etc

Thing is, though, Muselk didn't really advertise for us. He didn't give out our IP or any identifying information, just a few seconds of us doing dumb stuff for fun. There wasn't anything to worry about until someone commented on the video saying "Hey, that's us!". Even then, we didn't have to make a big deal of it. To the viewers, we could have said something like, "Hey guys, we have a Jailbreak server, we like to get a little crazy sometimes but it's all in good fun, just join our server at xxx to have a good time." Instead, some were tripping over themselves saying, "Sorry everyone had to see that, this isn't what we're about, but you should join our server anyway because we're cool except for that part!" See the difference? Don't apologize for yours or others' actions if it looks like someone might enjoy that kind of entertainment; instead, have a laugh at yourselves and make it out like we were just being silly and our servers are actually quite fun because of (rather than in spite of) the occasional silliness. Not chiding anyone, just a bit of advice for the future. :)

Forgive me if I don't give a shit what people (aka the one guy that said that) thinks of a server they have never been to and are basing their opinion from a 15 second clip... not to mention he was prolly joking. Egossi your single vote, which was prolly a lot of 1spam means Jack shit considering I have had votes for abuse days outside of lr on a server of 20+ people have vote 95% or more yes for the days The solution is simple if you don't like abuse days for lr don't ducking pick it for your lr... and try harder to win lr so someone else doesn't :)

Umm, no? It's clearly stated like this in the rules: Freeday - During a freeday, a red can do whatever they want. However, they can be killed by either hitting a blue, going into armory or breaking a vent, if they bring a weapon out, they can be killed. During a freeday, the warden cannot restrict any place in the map other then armory. I highly doubt you read the rules at all at this point. -1 for an unban

I don't see why its been here for this long, and now just because some youtuber came in on it happening people think it should be removed? That's sure what it sounds like to me, I'm staying neutral on this for now, I don't see how simply some guy joining a server can effect this.

Ahh, gotcha. The thing is that we can only base our judgement off of how they are on the forums, which is all fine and dandy if you're asking for opinions on them on forums. Though the way someone is on Forums doesn't reflect their know-how while on the field, so to speak; so I can't really give any input on whether they should be a Moderator ingame. If that's the case (that is, they're to be forum moderators) I'll take a look and provide my own personal opinion some time this week :coffee:

The problem is staff don't know where to end, I myself when I got the opportunity for the first couple times kept spamming nukes. But really it needs to be denied as an lr more often and maybe have it once every like 30 or so rounds. Also staff sometimes goes far (me included) maybe there should be restrictions or like a time where it has to stop like 1 minute left in the round you have to stop.

correct me if I am mistaken... but only 7 of those 11 events are crashes, and they appear to be 1 per server.... not 1 server 7 times.... ??
