I feel like if the spray is going to drive people away, even if it is PG-13, it shouldnt be allowed(Maybe talk to the person who sprayed it if enough people complain about it). Granted, alot of someone not liking a spray is based on personal opinion, but as anyone on the internet knows, MLP is heavily criticized by most people online(so spraying something of the sort is basically baiting a reaction. Doesnt mean they cant spray it, but they should expect these reactions). If i joined a server and saw two ponies wearing panties and spreading there legs, i wouldnt wanna see that shi.t. Granted csgo doesnt have sprays(soon^tm), in css id have to deal with tons of inappropriate or offensive sprays, swastikas, spinning d.icks, you name it. im sure the tf2 staff is dealing with the same. I might be from cs but since this is more of a relatable rule that ive had experience with, i feel it was handled properly, minus the slight bias that was owned up to. The spray is borderline inappropriate, leaving it up to the individual to decide if its inappropriate or not -1 for any punishment.

I want to give u guys an update. I am in Normandy France atm. I went to Omaha beach and the America Cemetery yesterday. Today I went to Pointe du Hoc(where the Rangers climbed up the cliffs) and I went to a famous monastery on the coast. While at the monastery, a bird shit on me.

Ok, if there's going to be talk of an actual punishment, I have to make another statement. To be fair, Vexx technically had the right to kick me. As he stated, I ignored his warning and sprayed it anyway. I ignored him because I thought his decision was bias towards me, but that doesn't give me the right to ignore a staff member. Since you went ahead and basically posted the evidence I'd have posted, I'll leave it up to the others to decide if it was abuse or not. I don't have anything against you derpyro, I got the opinions of multiple people before I decided to remove your spray and ask that you do not spray it again. If it's a problem with the actual plugin, then we'd need to wait for the plugin author to update it. Which they usually do, since FF2 is a pretty popular plugin. If it's a problem with TF2 items or Sourcemod itself, then it'll be fixed even quicker

Honestly, I feel the rule needs to be updated to be a bit more specific. Gray areas like that can make it rough for a person to moderate a certain rule. In fact, the other day I asked a guy to remove his spray on the Pokemon server that contained nudity. He said he'd been using it forever and no staff told him it wasn't allowed, and there's constantly staff on Pokemon. I just feel like people could attempt to use the "PG-13" rule as a way to loophole something, as someone could spray something that could be against the rules and respond with "Ayy, it's PG-13". Then threads like this begin again Oh and the rule currently contradicts itself. PG-13 movies can contain nudity. So it's saying "It can contain nudity, but no nudity" Maybe the rule should be changed to "Sprays cannot contain: Sexually suggestive material, Nudity, Racism..." you get the idea

I've always enforced the spray rule. In fact, I just punished a guy on surf who continuously sprayed a heavily pornographic spray after being told to change it/not spray it. Honestly I feel like it's because it's ponies, not just suggestive, that people had more of a reaction to it. I've seen sprays where Mods/Admins are OK with because it's Tracer from Overwatch, but if it were a FnaF character then everybody would go nuts. Either way, both shoulda been removed if Vexx deemed one to be inappropriate when the other was similar

Sure, I guess I was a bit biased when making a decision on whether the sprays were acceptable or not, and the people I asked were probably biased with it as well, I'll own up to the mistake. Sorry for kicking you Derpyro. I'll be sure to make sure neither are allowed by my "standards" in the future.

As we promote people, we advise you read the admin handbook to understand what your responsibilities are. I just want to remind you all of the standard protocol. [spoiler=An explanation of the WKB-System]How to make a proper punishment Some staff members sometimes ask themselves "Should I kick this guy?" or "Should I ban this guy?" or maybe even "How long should I ban this guy for?" These are very good questions to ask yourself before you actually do the slaying, kicking, banning or whatever it is that you are doing. The process usually goes like this for someone breaking a minor rule: Warn, then slay (sometimes optional), then kick, then ban. When you get to the point where you have to ban them, make sure to use your common sense for how long the ban should last. Don't permanently ban a guy for mic spamming. Ban him for about an hour to week depending on how badly they did it, if people told him to stop multiple times, etc. However, using the WSKB approach isn't always required. For certain situations you can instantly ban for situations like: -Majorly intending to troll the entire server. (A day ban) -Hacking (Permanent) -Mass freekilling (Permanent CT ban) -Mass freekilling then leaving the game (Permanent) -Taken from the admin handbook: Everything You Need To Know [admins, Servers, Handbook, Etc.] Additionally we added two new exceptions in order to make moderating easier: Important: Following protocol for punishments are important (Standard: Warn > Mute/Gag > Kick > Ban)! You should follow these steps as it is the best way to handle issues. However there is times that you can skip a few steps. For example: If a player is breaking multiple rules (ex: exploting and spamming), then you are able to jump to kicking the player from the server. If the user returns to the server and resumes doing what he was doing to get kicked for, then you should follow up with a ban. So if user warn a staff member about something they think is wrong, its called a threat, but if a staff member warns a user about something they think is wrong, it's call a warning. That is called a double standard and staff members should follow the same rules as users. The spray that Vexx was allowing violates the rules, period. Vexx was in the wrong by allowing it and I was warning him that I would take action, just as he was warning me that I would be kicked. Technically we were with in the wrong and we both apologized for our actions. And yes, you do have the right to post whatever you want on this public forums, that's fine. I was calling you by your IGN and I never said you didn't have the right to post your opinion. I inconspicuously accused of throwing fuel on the flame of this discussion.

The latest update broke a crap load of stuff and keeps crashing some servers with custom maps. We have turned these off or limited the resources they can use.

To add on, the reason why the people in which Vexx asked for their opinions DISLIKED Derpyro's spray might simply be caused by the characters of the spray (furries/ponies) and not because of the inappropriate image/content
