Just telling people that they aren't allowed to do something is enough for most people, even if it's not really actually enforced. probably

You should visit our surf server , cause it change at all ... We have funny people saying random things , telling their life and also being friendly with other.

I completely agree with this. The biggest reason for people to do this is because there is nothing saying its not allowed. therefore nothing can happen to someone that does it. If we add something to the rules that goes along the lines of don't cheat to finish the map, Most will stop doing it, the small portion that continues to do it will simple be punished and it would quickly be eradicated as a whole. In my opinion this is a win-win situation, people would stop doing this with minimum effort and no weapons would have to be banned therefore no one is butthurt. Even if it is not entirely enforced just the fact that people could 'now' be punished for it would be enough for most. It would be enforced as much as spawn killing is or even less it wouldn't totally 'matter'.

I will most likely try my hand at it as I have free time currently just job hunting, I do like the panzoid intros for future content we make, but we definitely need to work on it to make it custom and special to xG itself (:

We are both, if we were just surf we would not have maps with jail, most people attempting to surf but don't get far hang out and just combat because they enjoy the people in the server and just have fun chatting and battling. Taking away those 2 weapons would cause chaos, trust me... We already get complaints about the little things ;p Yes they are used for cheating but taking away two main weapons is just not a good idea at all. Again, I wouldn't make it a heavily enforced rule, just if the power up for that specific map is an extremely big deal if they got it by cheating then yes, action would be taken, most of the maps power ups and extras is just like a small sniping spot or access to music or a few jail buttons. Orbs and the maps I listed, those I see the issue with, but we don't have many of those.

Hell no, If we disabled rocket launchers and sticky jumpers, we would lose a lot of players, get many complaints about it, a lot of people enjoy market gardening and sticky jumping because the maps have a lot of space to do so. And we just have a lot of regulars that play soldier and demoman.

I really do dislike how people abuse it then get benefits. I've also witnessed people who do the map with sticky/rocket jumpers, then kill people at the end and acting like they're the best. This would be a fantastic rule to add, or if we could just simply REMOVE the use of the base jumper. Keep in mind, some people just like to market garden with the rocket jumper. +1

Is there a way to make it so that you can't shooting a rocket at your feet or stickies doesn't knock you back in the surf area but it can in the arena?

One of the biggest reasons I made this thread is because, since there is nothing in the rules that even dabbles into the idea that this is not to be done, Moderators and Admins can't exactly do anything about the situation.

I'm confused. Was the complaint not that people were cheating in surf to reach the end, using weapons that gave an advantage? Yet if we remove those weapons, we'd be upsetting regulars who come to our surf server...to do combat? I don't understand. Do you want this to be a surf server or a combat server? You can't exactly do both and complain that there's imbalances when specific classes can reach the end with their weapons. IMHO, this server should have ALWAYS had a focus on the surf and not on combat, but any time I try and suggest changes to make it such, they automatically get shot down. I'm not quite sure what exactly you guys want. >.>

Well Ladies and Gentleman, looks like this submission won't work... It's partly my fault for being busy with school the last week of my 30 days and not being on because of it. I guess I will have to wait another month and re-submit. We just needed a higher up in the community and I failed to find one. +1 for moderator, I've personally never had issues with him in the past other than getting tilted he wrecks me in CS:GO. As long as he can be active on the servers I see no issue with giving him powers to help moderate the servers.
