Random crits? Keep them or no? This argument was brought up on tgh and we managed to remove the last bit of random crits from tgh so why not try and have is be done to surf too?

remove random crits it's no fun when you get obliterated by one just try to secure kills on enemy gamers the fair way.

For some context, I was not online during this; The information I have is provided here and through discord; This is my unimportant opinion on the situation.
My main issues with this situation are that Red evaded gag and that what was said wasn't particularly unique in tgh. The gag itself should have been enough of an indicator to not continue the behavior. Unfortunately in the heat of the moment red decided to make a funny and rename himself to evade. A lot of (typically more toxic) randoms tend to use this which issues a kick(since they don't have history in most cases.) Red on the otherhand should know better, but also doesn't have a history(that I know of) for gag evasion. I think this was handled more of a toxicity issue than a gag evasion. Gag evasion, in my opinion, is a lot easier to scale reasonably.
The main issue with determining toxicity stems from intent. Someone of ill intent meaning to effectively bully and harass a user would have more to say than what's basically commonplace. For starters, furfag itself is a joke title. Calling people furfags on tgh isn't anything new and in some cases used as friendly banter. I don't think that this case specifically applies for friendly banter however I don't find it alone strong enough to point at toxicity. I do think that some part of the intent with furfag here was ill meaning. "ur so shit" is definitely not in good intent as it's clearly said to make the other party more upset in the same way as saying "ez" and co. Calling furries "fucking weirdos" on a server with a lot of furries is asking for trouble. However, I don't think it's uncommon. Furries being called weird is almost a daily occurrence in terms of tgh conversation from my own experience. I don't think this case was in ill intent. The issue is the timing adds salt to the wound of him already stirring the pot with "shut the fuck up," "ur a fuckhead," and "ez." Lastly, "suck my dick" the ending words and the rename for gag evasion. Two things, saying suck my dick on tgh (where non surprisingly a lot of people are gay) is funny in of itself because the sheer irony. Secondly, saying variations of dick sucking is so uncommon it's a laughable way to end an argument. It's the slightly more vulgar "no u." in my opinion which makes it even funnier.
I think that seeing furfag, suck my dick, and "you are all fucking weirdos"  aren't really enough on their own with context to show the levels of toxicity that was clearly received. I do think however his shittalking (ur, so shit, ur a fuckhead, ez) Isn't acceptable but still ends up as commonplace on tgh, unfortunately. I think the reasoning was fair from the perspective of Precious. However there is still the can of worms that this behavior *it seems like* is punished on some more than others. I don't think that it's really fair to say that his situation is far worse than if a random joined and did the same actions. I believe the punishment would be delivered in the gag-kick-ban-ban-ban format for a random while Red was already on thin ice, so to speak. He was told to stop, he didn't; he got gagged, he gag evaded. That enough warrants punishment.  He was warned on unban, he was warned on server, but the moment escaped him as he made a mistake. I do think that the focus of the punishment should be on the gag evasion and less on the toxicity as there are more members than just him that shittalk just like that and get away with it for god knows why.
To be clear I don't have an issue with red personally; I think he can be very chill. The evidence is here that he was not chill at the time. I think that's something he can improve on as he has already improved for the better (as others stated.) He was willing to come back after the first ban and do better he might do better again. I don't think there is a reason to report abuse for this case as precious did what any staff would do in the situation. I think the reasoning is a little debatable as the main breaking point was the gag evasion. Hopefully if he does come back he can reflect on this moment for improvement. It's hard to determine tone over text and what he may have seen as friendly banter might not come across as such. Like I said before this kind of shittalking isn't particularly new on tgh. I'd like to see some consistency for some of the other members who seem to get away with this. 
While I think the ban was fair I would like to see him come back and try again as he has made improvements. He shows he is capable of doing better. Hopefully he can find a way to bury the hatchet and make amends. In the mean time I'll drop my current worthless +1.

Kiro has done stupid things, but isn't inherently a bad guy. He's been a good friend to me and others. He is a human. He has his flaws. He is discriminatory towards certain people, but we all are to some extent. He opinions shouldn't prevent him from being a member, and just as you might feel uncomfortable around him, he may feel the same about you. Kiro is surprisingly open minded if you connect with him on a more personal level (uncommon opinion, I know). I have come to respect Kiro to an extent for how he refuses to collapse or give in. He stands proud with an unpopular opinion and isn't afraid to have others mock him for it, which is something we can all learn from. Do I agree with his opinions? No, I find it hard to believe that someone who supposedly has so much hatred for others to in reality be so deeply passionate and caring. If he is nurtured the right way he may just come to see others that he once thought of as lower as equals instead.
Also that whole nickname thing. Segger sounds nothing like the N word. Snigger sounds like the N word. Nippers sounds like the N word. Niger, Bigger, Jigger, Wiggler all sound like the N word. Segger is only used to provoke @SegFault because he thinks it's somehow too similar to the N word when it really isn't.

I really do not think that having a political channel would have the results that would be desired. There's a reason why we normally don't allow major talk about politics, it's very prone to breaking out into argument due to how different the view points other people can have are. I agree with Chrono that it is possible for politics to be talked about maturely but that is something I fairly rarely ever see.

I personally have not used the #shitposting channel much, but it seems to be the stem of a lot of drama and toxicity nowadays, and it's honestly getting annoying.
Honestly I don't think it's fair to compare this to that spray situation. We have several rules in place for sprays because we don't want porn or gore on our servers, and sprays didn't end up getting disabled because in the end, we can all be mature enough to choose proper sprays, even if there are a few problems here and there. The shitposting channel however, has very few rules or regulations, and pretty much serves only as a place to be immature and toxic. The channel is literally called shitposting, after all. With the spray situation, sprays were going to be removed because of the actions of a bad few, and that was unfair. But this time, the bad few is the majority. 
Again, I don't use this channel much, so maybe my input has less value. But I personally don't like the idea of a shitposting server in a community like ours. We have a lot of rules set in place to against immaturity, toxicity, drama, and explicit gore/porn. Yet, we have a channel on our discord where none of those things apply, and people can do everything they can't normally do, like post explicit things, spam, and start drama. I don't like the behavior it encourages, and I don't believe it falls in line with the rest of the server's beliefs. If you really wanna shitpost, talk about drama, or post gore or porn or stuff like that, then you should really keep it off our discord, and make one of your own. +1 for its removal.

I don't really get what's the big deal here, it's not that hard to watch the channel or interpret if something is against tos or not, especially from how straight forward it is. I don't see that much controversy over images and when there is it's handled pretty quickly since the rules are so simple so I don't really get how the channel is as bad as you are saying it is. Which is why it seems to me that you are jumping the gun a bit here over a few people breaking rules and posting lolis or whatever like yesterday, which like what others have said before, you can just punish them and move on like we do on the servers.
This reminds me a lot of the whole spray controversy thread where someone went on saying how we should just remove sprays in general to avoid controversy over if a spray should be allowed or not, which just like then I don't think it's a good idea to just remove an entire thing just because of a few baddies which the staff can easily handle. Plus we don't even need to edit the rules here as the tos rules are simple enough. But yeah I honestly don't really use the channel, but a lot of people do like to use it so I'd rather just keep the channel and let people have some fun their when their bored while continuing to punish people accordingly for when they do they break tos.

keep this channel, its the only nsfw thing about xG and its a place of freedom to some, if the channel disappears ill probably just leave the discord server all together, I like to steal the memes and be myself without getting judged horrifically even though it doesn't stop normies from judging anyway, I like to shitpost, whether its porn, somewhat offensive memes, or just saying whatevers on my mind, all within the servers rules and guidelines, if you take the channel away people are just gonna start posting their offensive memes in other channels or just complain all-together, if people can't handle looking at #shitposting they can fuck off and mute the channel, i have a right to post whatever i want in the channel as long as its not against the servers rules, or discords TOS, keep the channel and crackdown on the stuff that shouldn't be posted, you cant please everyone, especially in a server and community of this size. 
 
I do however agree that if anything against the Discord TOS is posted, it needs to be addressed and handled accordingly, if the admins can't handle seeing that stuff, are they fit for the position? I can't blame anyone for not wanting to see people fucking animals, or gore, or child related stuff, that stuff should automatically be blacklisted by general consensus and knowledge and should be dealt with accordingly, and the people who post it should be dealt with accordingly.
