We have it so our Teamspeak server encrypts voice chat so nobody can listen in without you knowing about them. It also does not save chat at all.

Never gonna happen. Can't guarentee security for everyone with Discord. Teamspeak is encrypted for everyone so no worries there. Also Time Warner Cable owns Discord so no idea what will happen with it in the future.

That demo shows very clearly that he had done nothing wrong. He admitted that three dots was okay (after he talked to me), then you spam what I had sent you a few more times (after you had already sent it a few times before). He warns you to stop spamming, as would be expected for mild copy/paste spam like that. And then, you start threatening him and baiting him into banning you. It's a completely fair ban. While I will admit that sometimes Athrun's attitude as a mod isn't the best, nothing he did here was unusual or unacceptable in the slightest. And your own attitude in that situation isn't really great for someone with an open mod app. I'm going to close this, but @Bleed @Owl @Chrono if you have anything to add feel free to post anyways (or discuss in private) Chat log for reference

Further Information: So what happened was basically athrun joined the jailbreak server and told me to put 3 type-able English letters in my name even though I did "..." then I said they are 3 type-able letters and then he said he wants English letters once again filled with power thinks he can control me. I asked @Lithium for confirmation and this is what lithium said " 7:38 PM - xGDLithium: and yes 3 dots is fine" Then once again he said to change my name and I spammed what lithium said 3 times and he said stop spamming and then I said "If you kick me for my name, I will get your mod removed" of course trying to make him back off because I am not breaking any rules of the server. Then he says "Are you threatening me? Cause if you are I will permanently ban you" I aggravated him saying " do it" because he has no right to do so abusing and full with his moderation powers trying to get me banned for no reason. He then bans me, I have no idea for how long but im sure its for a long time because he said it would be permanent even though moderators cannot permanently ban me. Sizzle and bulleye and simple duck and a lot of more people were there. Athrun has always been like this full with power thinking he can do whatever he wants and tries to control people. This is not a good moderator of the server at all. If you threaten to permanently ban me for no reason I will aggravate you because if you do there will be consequences.

also if any xG users want to use discord, just make one yourself? lol its basically a better skype for groups

So, I kind of turned Jailbreak into a Roleplay server for a solid hour if not a little more... We were In search for Bread's long lost family in Diner. This led to me finding out they had been 'borrowing' items from people of the human realm. These Items included: Vega's soul MerrySmissmas's Tree Bread's money Rice's authentic Teriyaki This led to a whole chain of events that led to objectives being completed and getting imaginary keys and golden pineapples. If anyone that was online wants to contribute in explain what exactly happened on this cancerous day I would be grateful but I simply will not force my brain to remember such cancerous events. Discord is for children who can't use teamspeak, similar to Skype but less popular and possibly less reliable in many ways

discord is literally only used because a. its free and easy to setup for anyone and b. the chat room feature the free/easy part is completely nullified by the fact that we have a 512 slot ts server free for anyone to use, with plenty of rooms where youll be left alone the chat room stuff is mostly nullified by, well, the forums/shoutbox absolutely no reason for discord.

Discord servers require active population in it, if it goes empty, the room URL changes. I can see it being used for the upcoming xG Tournaments, but nothing else. Neutral.

Yeah and it's like £10 so that's a no no. Just want something TF2 related since it's the only game I play xd

Lol. Friends and I switched from Skype to Discord because Skype is absolute garbage. Discord is a solid and easy platform, but I don't see why we'd make one if we already have a Teamspeak ready for us to use. The Discord UI look a lot better than TS UI though.

Security? what could happen or what could people abuse with it, may I ask? Reason I ask is because I still prefer teamspeak, but most of the people I play with prefer Discord, and I never do my research. :^)

What if, xG also had a Discord server as well as a TS server? I think this might be a good idea, because some people might prefer discord over TS. Whoever agrees with me, reply, I wan't to see your perspectives. For those who don't know what discord is, here.
