So we're really just going to edit the map without the dudes permission? Alright. I have no idea why this thread was made in the first place. The picture is hardly worth anything to throw a fit over and the fact we are now deciding to tarnish a dudes map without his permission, With our own logo no less is so scummy. Seriously it's just a nude woman made from lines. So fucking silly.

In the months the map has been on the server maybe once or twice question the drawing and you know what happened? when we answered that it was artistic and nothing about it was inherently sexual. Their response? "Ohhhh okay" I mean I don't see how it's so hard to just tell them and they eventually understand it. We don't need to keep getting more and more and more specific with rules when you can quite honestly just tell them the opinion of the upperstaff and use discretion. This is seriously a non issue.

Haven't player much with Logic so I can't really give my opinion. On a completely different note, "gateway drug" theories are irrelevant as the argument is circular. Being exposed to harder drugs isn't a direct side effect of the gateway drug in question, merely the result of the drug being labeled "gateway". In this way the issue is with the law and not the "gateway" drug. Put another way, if weed is illegal, it is poor reasoning to keep it illegal solely because in its current illegal state pursuing the purchase of it may expose one to the purchase of other more dangerous illegal drugs. The same hypothetical negative effect would be seen if hamburger "users" were forced to buy their patties in back allies and street corners. (There are legitimate negative effects to use of marijuana, as just by its own nature it leads to temporarily impaired rational thought and awareness of surroundings, while possible more permanent risks may be, inhaling carcinogens and contracting bronchitis.) I really don't give a crap about anyone's opinion on weed though, it's almost completely irrelevant, just want to address a logical fallacy.

It was a little hard for me to tell if this thread was actually serious because of the removal reason in question. The "pornography" is literally just an artistic sketch, the maker of the map is an artist and dumped a lot of their art on the map, that just happened to be one of them. -1 for the thread right now because this is the hotelhell thread all over again.

Since i was mentioned, i guess I'll chime in with my opinion on the matter. Yes, we generally don't allow nudity on our servers, but there is a line in which that nudity can be expressed in an artistic way. Now, where that line is i believe is different from person to person, as seen in this thread. Sweden and europe in general is way more liberal in that sense, and we usually don't blur out naked parts of bodies on tv, for example. As @Vector just mentioned, there is a big difference between art that is intentionally made to be erotic, and art that uses the human body for its aesthetics. This piece is obviously meant to be artistic instead of sexual in any way, it just happens to portray a naked woman. And i think that's fine. I've never been bothered by it while playing, it fits the map theme pretty well and doesn't stick out like a sore thumb (i've actually barely even noticed it while playing). @Rhododendron @Aegean i would advice us to let the poll run out and then make our decision on what the community wants. After all, they are the ones who will be affected by it.

Yup. Within the mapping community it's fairly frowned upon changing things without permission. Every now and then a mapper outright says they don't care, but it's rare. If you guys give me time, I can ask first. If he tells me no, then someone else will have to do it, since I'll honor their request. Obviously, no xG logo unless one of us in xG actually made the map, cause then it looks like we're taking credit for it.

Honestly, why can't we just keep it? It's not sexualized whatsoever and if someone gets seriously upset by this then we can't help them. We can have exceptions every once in a while if all TF2 higher ups agree. Additionally, given what @Vector said I see no point in removing or even trying to edit the map.

There is a major difference that's already been talked about to death between art and porn. I cannot for the life of me understand how you guys are comparing this picture to say something like actual sex or other creepy shit you see on objectors or sprays. There was also a clear difference between this picture that was drawn to those like abstract who had straight up Pokemon porn. @virr And the higher ups already talked about this and concluded that it was fine so I'm not sure why we need to edit this when the higher ups already agreed to something that wasn't even that long ago.

The pose the woman is taking is a common pose used in art like this. PG - 13 is entirely subjective, as the idea of PG - 13 as drastically changed over time. [xG]Zevo isn't my main account, but I have made it my main account due to the fact that I can not get in to the other. from when this account on the forum was made was when i was playing on the other account. (I'm sorry if this reply seems confusing but yeah.)

Now I know I haven't seen you on the servers much but I've seen you on the forums a bunch. You in my eyes have the personality to take up a staff position, but I haven't seen you active in a whole lot of threads, just the really big ones. I do see you in the shoutbox a bunch and you are pretty chill there. +1 for mod.

So basically we have a map on TF2's Trade Gaming history that has a full body image of a nude woman, tits, bush, minge and all, and our staff has been allowing it because "it's artistic" well I looked at the rules and they said no nudity and to keep it PG-13, So I'm confused as to where I can find this "If it's artistic nudity is allowed" clause in our rules. I won't post an uncensored image, since nudity on forums is banned artistic or not(LOL it's almost like that's the rule), but here's one with the naughty bits covered by sprays, though it's clear what's happening under said sprays. If we allow it to stay I'd like a clause added to our rules that we host maps with nudity as long as DM+ find them artistic enough, because otherwise we're just breaking our own rules and confusing new players by randomly spawning them in front of a naked woman 10+ scout models tall while simultaneously telling them through motd that we're a pg-13 community that doesn't allow nudity. Staying neutral for this one. Plays a lot in the server and knows the rules but his maturity as in for asking for item and sometimes begging does seemed to question if he would his powers in a fair way.
