@Owl Requesting that the [irrelevant] posts above (both Charles' and Narwhal's) be removed (with the permission of Narwhal) as they are in no shape or form relevant to the thread and are resulting in some derailing. Would also like to suggest that if you aren't in good standing with someone (pretty obvious that such is the case here) that you don't derail their thread with what may be a touchy subject @Charles :coffee: -

The Future: Summer '16 & Cracking Down, Again
LoveBirdTriangl reacted to Owl for a post in a topic
Hello everyone, it is both my pleasure and displeasure to announce some upcoming changes to xG's CS division. Summer '16 Over the next month or so, xG will be introducing many new changes. Minigames There will be a new minigames server! As many of you know, I have been in development of our new MG server with the help of Bleed, Lithium, Silence, and a few beta-testers. As of now the server is currently locked and definitely not finished. Do NOT beg Bleed, Lithium, Silence, Chrono, myself, or anyone else for the password. I will be taking suggestions for gamemodes/maps/plugins/features/etc, so please give any input :) The IP is 72.5.195.149 and there will be an announcement thread when it is officially open to the public. Jailbreak Based on player feedback, predator day will be completely reworked. There also will be some changes to the current JB maplist. Feel free to make suggestions! I've also considered improving the JB rules - less changing specific rules and more clarifying the rules already in place. Hub Soon™ Surf(s) Due to the introduction of minigames, it seems like one of the surf servers will have to be removed. Feedback is welcome about this, although most seem to lean more towards removing Skill Surf. Keep in mind this is 100% uncertain. With the possible removal of one of these servers, we will also be looking to improve both (or whichever one stays) immensely. This includes a rehaul of maps and plugins. Staff We are looking for more and better staff members, whether its old staff, current staff, or completely new staff. If anyone's interested, please contact any of the DM/DLs of CSGO or apply yourself. (it's also encouraged to apply for member!) All changes will be announced when they come - may it be through the promo/demo, announcement threads, or the current ongoing patch note thread. Cracking Down, Again Lastly, I will reinstate what Chrono posted in January about admin abuse. This is not directly targeted at anyone, and if you have any questions please contact me (I'm on forums, steam, and ts pretty much always). I expect all staff to take this post into consideration, and failure to do so will be reflected in the upcoming Promo/Demos. In the last few weeks I've personally witnessed and heard reports of staff doing the following: muting/unmuting themselves to speak when they are normally muted (start of round, dead) (also see: all chat abuse) -this is one of the big offenses here. muting/unmuting yourself interrupts the flow of the round, and 99% of the time can be resolved in either all chat (@), admin pm (@@user), or speaking when it is convenient to everyone else. everyone is still permitted to speak when they feel necessary, but please take the rest of the server into consideration. ignoring players or vocally dismissing them - also disrespecting others -I know that some players can be frustrating, but staff are expected to help all players on the server, no matter what your opinion on their maturity is. Staff may absolutely never be ""toxic"" to our players. banning xG members/staff for no reason -kicking is fine, I want you guys to have your fun, but random teambans/bans does not look too attractive in sourcebans (I will restate do NOT kick others at random) breaking server rules because you feel staff are above the law -speaks for itself, seen a lot of this too. poor knowledge of rules -if any of you are unsure about rules, please either double check or simply ask Bleed, Lithium, Chrono, or myself. We do not want there to be confusion about the rules. It is completely fine if you happen to forget things, just make sure you are 100% correct before acting on it, whether this is banning people or telling others what you think the rules are. inactivity -this isn't abuse, but its clear that at least half of the mods literally never get on. Originally, the policy was "if the server is well then all is well", but we're currently looking to go above and beyond that. Having half of the staff roster completely unknown to the playerbase is nowhere near ideal. There won't be an hour requirement or anything, but cmon... 1 hour in 4 weeks? Essentially, staff are meant to take care of the server and ensure that everyone is able to enjoy their time playing on it. Keep in mind, we aren't gonna go super nazi admin on everyone. Feel free to have your fun, just use common sense. You are not above xG, its players, or its rules. Quick note to everyone: the current cs staff roster is being heavily reconsidered. Take that as you will. @Bleed @Lithium @Chrono @Duke @xGShadowSpy @orangejuice @Athrun @Shadow @Oden @SyrJirk @Sojodak @Hidingmaster lol @BlackWidow @SolairefAstora @DMTwired @DrPepperPhreak @Rabid @Cristo @DrLee -

MickeyMeme reacted to Pepper for a post in a topic
Seems @Duke permed you for massing. It has only been a week since you were banned and that is most likely not going to change any time soon. Play on the server and show you know the rules. Also not having a mic is not an excuse for freekilling. You can still hear the wardens orders w/o needing a mic. You obviously didnt know the rules before joining CT so this ban is going to stick for a long while. Xeno Gamers -

1 pointThis "reformation" of the staff needs to happen before Hub comes out and we get an influx of people on our server. We don't need half of our staff incompetent during the busiest time of the year. I believe other steps need to be taken too to ensure that our staff is fit for the position before they are promoted. Something like the MOTD test we had before to make sure they have an understanding of the rules. Our mods also need to have a brighter face in the community and be able to be recognized as a mod by the regulars of the server and also trusted by them. I have seen plenty of mods/admins who don't know how to deal with people of the server and are disrespectful/abusive to the players. This needs to be met with a kick to the rear end by higher ups to put them back in line and possible demotion if there is no change in the mod/admins attitude.

0 pointsIn case anyone still hasn't heard about the latest terrorist attack: An American-born man who'd pledged allegiance to ISIS gunned down 49 people early Sunday at a gay nightclub in Orlando, the deadliest mass shooting in the United States and the nation's worst terror attack since 9/11, authorities said. * The gunman, Omar Mateen, 29, of Fort Pierce, Florida, was interviewed by the FBI in 2013 and 2014 but was not found to be a threat, the FBI said. Related coverage * Mateen called 911 during the attack to pledge allegiance to ISIS and mentioned the Boston Marathon bombers, according to a U.S. official. * Orlando police shot and killed Mateen. * Mateen's ex-wife said she thinks he was mentally ill. Mateen carried an assault rifle and a pistol into the packed Pulse club about 2 a.m. Sunday and started shooting, killing 49 people and wounding at least 53, officials said. After a standoff of about three hours, while people trapped inside the club desperately called and messaged friends and relatives, police crashed into the building with an armored vehicle and stun grenades and killed Mateen. GoFundMe to support victims: Timeline of the Attack Before 2 a.m. Omar Mateen, a resident of Fort Pierce, a city about 120 miles from Orlando, parked his van outside Pulse, a gay nightclub. 2:02 a.m. He entered the club armed with an AR-15-type assault rifle, a handgun and many rounds of ammunition, and opened fire, said John Mina, the Orlando police chief. The New York Times; photograph by Chris O'Meara/Associated Press The gunman went outside at some point after the initial shots were fired, the chief said, then went back inside. Restrooms Some patrons hid in restrooms, calling police and texting friends and family for help. At some point, police received word from inside the building that at least 15 people were hiding in a restroom. Patio Ray Rivera, 42, a D.J. at the club, was playing reggae music on the patio when the shooting started. “I thought it was firecrackers,” Mr. Rivera said. But the gunfire did not let up. “I saw bodies on the floor, people on the floor everywhere,” he said. Main entrance Security was posted at the front entrance, and it is unclear how the gunman entered the club. Main dance floor Latin music was playing on the main dance floor. The nightclub, which calls itself “Orlando’s Latin Hotspot,” was holding its weekly “Upscale Latin Saturdays” party with three D.J.s and a midnight show. DeAngelo Scott, 30, said the club was packed. “Every room I went into was full. I had to squeeze through the main room.” He left the club at 1:58 a.m. Then police marshaled forces, bringing in a SWAT team and an armored vehicle. At some point, Chief Mina said, there was contact with the gunman inside. “There was some communication, but we are not going to release that right now,” the chief said. It is unknown, he said, whether the gunman was killing others inside the club as the authorities prepared for a confrontation. “Any time we have a hostage situation, we’re definitely going to use extreme measures to make sure we have enough personnel on the scene,” Chief Mina said. 3 a.m. The club posted a warning on Facebook. 5 a.m. The police began an operation to rescue the people trapped inside. They detonated two explosives to distract the gunman. Eleven officers entered the club, and shots were exchanged. Mr. Mateen was killed. One officer was shot in the head, but his Kevlar helmet prevented serious injury, Chief Mina said. At least 30 people were found alive.

0 pointsIve either sold all my items or in the process of doing so. This will be the last time i will ever be on this forum. I am leaving Xeno Gamers for good, if i even was in it anymore from my inactivity. Dont feel bad if i unfriended you, im quitting the tf2 life for good. I want to start fresh with the friends i still play with. Im sorry. I dont think i will ever come back on tf2 again, and if i do i will not be easily recognized by my overly gold gibus, or the failstabs (Sometimes the occational trickstab, made good times) I may sometime be on the teamspeak with my friends occasionally, you can drop by to say a few things if you like. And please DO NOT SEND ME FRIEND REQUESTS AGAIN I WILL BLOCK! Dont mistake this for me not liking you, i would just rather put all of it behind me. Goodbye. I will miss most of you. Most of you.

Unfortunately I don't recall a lot of the facts from the incident, but I've felt really shitty about the situation ever since it happened. What a lot of people didn't realize is there was some less than honest stuff going on in the background. There were several higher ups that "poked the fire". We really handled things in a way that were not only unfair for darkwolf, but also the community. Again, I really can't recall the specifics, but I do remember the remorse after the fact. Just saying, darkwolf is actually not a bad guy at all. Yes, he did things that were absolutely not cool, but I almost can't blame him when we treated the situation like shit. As some of y'all have said, he isn't even applying for membership, so why should we be concerned about what he did before. Just my two thoughts. -
