Thorax_ and 2 others reacted to Amymaniac for a post in a topic
hey guys It's Kittylicious (or Amy in game) and this is my new forum account since I've not used Kittylicious since, well 2014 :p So I combined my steam/real name and licious to form my new forum name :) I'm back to using the forums regularly again and stepping up my activity on the servers as well. As always I will mostly be found hanging around on trade gaming or pokemon trade. But I might even try surf and some of the other servers which I never really played before. feel free to throw me a friend invite. (y) hope you're all well, see you later. -

What Made You Join Xg

I'm so happy to have you back <3 -
2 pointsI'll give a brief history of my time with xG. One day I'll write a really long version of it. I got CS:S in 2010, and I decided to play on the community servers like my friend always did in high school where he surfed all the time. I had no understanding of how surf worked, so I roamed from Zombie Escape to Jailbreak servers. HG back then (dunno about now) made it so T's couldn't talk ever, so I joined xG where T's actually had time to talk. I met @Rabid @Rhododendron and a bunch of others who either left or got banned (shoutout to the 2010-2011 gang) and this was a server I would spend late nights on almost every single day. The server was always active late at night, and we played for so many hours non-stop. I must say, the community was so fun back then, and I got asked to be an admin level 2 when I signed up on the forums due to always messaging silence whenever rule breakers were on. I figure it was easier to just let me take care of the server since I spent so much time on the servers (back when we didn't have moderators and had 3 levels of admins instead). I was part of the reason @all chat wasn't enabled for lower level staff since I alongside other staff would use it for everything lol. Anyways things were going good, I got promoted to Division leader of CS:S at the time, and shortly after co-leader. We were in the process of integrating to CS:GO which is what brought the whole Cyanide Gaming swatting me. For context, we used a jailbreak map from gamebanana that was made from a Cyanide member, and as we were really popular, our servers were a hit compared to theirs. They asked me to take the map down as the map was for their server, and I told them I'm happy to take it down for them (As we had other maps in our rotation and their map wasn't dependent on our success.) Anyways, Silence + Starbuck (Co-leader and developer at the time) both agreed to not take it down as it is a public map, and there's nothing wrong with us taking it. They started threatening our members with threats of DDoS on teamspeak, and so I banned the user with the reason "Faggot". Big mistake. They called me on my cellphone, spoofed my mom's phone number and started threatening me, as they didn't believe that a co-leader wouldn't be able to remove a map (I didn't have any access to anything aside from forums, kinda similar to now but I have way more freedom and can get access to things I personally work on) so they gave me a time limit to swat me. I didn't know what swatting was back in 2012 (I was 17 at the time) so I just hung up on them. A little back and forth later, I eventually get police get called to my old location, and then they follow up to my mom's house, and then they call my dad's house and come to my dad's and ask me what's going on. Apparently these guys spoofed my number from Skype or a Google service and called my local police saying I have a hostage, made a gunshot noise and hung up on them. I left xG shortly after, returned for a bit under the alias Link before some conflict with the higherups at the time which led to my decision to leave and only rejoin recently after patching things up with Silence/Rhodo. I'm happy to be back as I've been with xG on and off since near its birth, and it's like my second home. I was always upset when I was gone to see xG going downhill from members not giving a shit but complaining with 0 resolutions, and with how good our staff are this time around, xG is only going to keep getting better and better. Random Tidbits: Rabid got banned so many times, and whenever he got unbanned I got blamed for it (despite being one of the few to never vouch for him in the past) We banned a pedophile A guy named Soiarn (aka soysauce) was awful I hate duplolas Arthman (ex minecraft div leader/french guy) got gangbanged in Minecraft PVP arena by Ruki, Rabid and myself, and claimed he never cheated. We eventually killed him after pinning him to a corner of a pond with 3 people just shooting him with arrows, and got his diamond armor with +5 enchants with 4-6 seperate enchants on each item. He had an Enderman farm built in the End (this was a day into the server, and he had built it with oscar with Creative mode) Klure used to be Hudson Jr.

1 pointGame Name: Pokémon Sun and/or Moon Platform: (new) Nintendo 3DS (XL) Time Spent: ~ 100 Hours Do you recommend? YESYESYES Rating: 9.5/10 Initial Thoughts: At first glance, the game looks pretty advanced compared to the other Pokémon games in the series, and when starting the game up, a title screen showcasing the main legendary pokémon (Solgaleo and Lunala for Pokémon Sun or Moon respectively) pops up, promising for a good game experience. BE READY FOR MINIOR (heh) SPOILERS IN THE GAME Pros: The removal of HM Discs This new feature will not only free up bag space and shorten the amount of time sifting through moves to teach your Pokémon, but will also get rid of visits to a frankly unnecessary NPC. Ride Pokémon Replacing the HM Disc Moves, this new feature allows the main character, Sun or Moon, to ride many pokemon along the lines of Tauros, Charizard, and even Sharpedo! This allows for access to new areas, new items, and especially faster travel. Z-Moves A brand new feature in the newest installments, Z-Moves allow your Pokémon to use extremely powerful and flashy moves once per battle, if they are holding a Z-Crystal (Waterium, Firium, Grassium, etc.). To add on to this, several Pokémon such as Snorlax and the Starter Pokémon Evolutions have Special Z-Crystals to use with their Signature Moves, described in the description of the Z-Crystal. Mega Evolution is still in the game, of course, but Z-Moves are much more prominent in these games. Poké Pelago/Poké Refresh These two new options in the X Menu are a great way to waste spend your time in Pokémon Sun and Moon and add even more content to the table. Poké Pelago is found in the X Menu, and you travel there via Charizard. Once there, you are greeted by Mohn, a man who wishes for all Pokémon who travel to Poké Pelago to be happy. Your first island on the Pelago is a bean generating island called Isle Abeens, which generates Poké Beans to feed your Pokémon in Pokémon Refresh, but you can also find Pokémon roaming the land who may or may not stay. The second Island is named Isle Aplenny, which replaces berry farms and lets you plant up to 18 Berries to grow. The third island is named Isle Aphun, where your Pokémon in your PC can go and search for treasure or just adventure in a cave! The fourth island is named Isle Evelup and it lets you send up to 18 Pokémon in your PC to increase a base stat, or gain experience, depending on how long you leave them there. The final island in this happy place is named Isle Avue, which you can leave up to 18 PC Pokémon to relax and raise their happiness. It also can help hatch your eggs when you have more than 5 to hatch, just not at the same rate. All of the islands have small Pokémon sprites that are registered in your PC, and you can interact with them as the Pokémon you've raised and caught.. Every island also has a basket or crate, in which you can leave Poké Beans that will give off positive effects to the island and it's inhabitants. Poké Refresh is an upgraded version of Poké-Amie, which you can play with your Pokémon and feed them Poké Beans, the replacements for Poké Puffs. Raising your Pokémon's happiness and feeding them Poké Beans will give many positive effects which are yours to discover! Cons: The removal of HM Discs Though it can be seen as a good addition, the removal of HM Discs also has its downsides, such as; What happens to the moves now? As of now, all of the previous HM moves, such as Surf and Fly, have been completely removed from the game. The moves could be regarded as a good way to fill up move space on Pokémon, and now that they are gone we have basically no counterparts, unless I am mistaken. Post-Game Leveling Though it may just be me and my half-assed way of leveling Pokémon, getting through level 60 and up (Note that I am in fact past the Elite Four) seems to be a constant struggle of leaving my Lucky Egg with Pokémon I wish to level up or farming Rare Candies via. Poké Refresh which frankly isn't enjoyable at all. If this isn't the case for anyone else then please let me know so I can finally get past the silly farming nobody wishes to endure even though it is an RPG. Final Thoughts: Pokémon Sun and Moon are both amazing games and will leave you either in tears or with a smile, with many laughs in between, depending on emotional capacities. All in all, these games are both personally amazing gifts from Nintendo which I will cherish forever and ever. Everybody will have their differing opinions and will certainly sometimes disagree with mine, but alas, this is a Game Review, not an argument. If you decide to buy one of these games, I hope you enjoy it to the fullest. Alola, friends! ~OneGlove

1 pointRegarding recent 10 mans there has been debate weather or not we should be doing fat man out (Picking the best players first, and worst players last) opposed to first come first serve ( first 10 get to play ) So here it is boys making the vote.

1 pointWasnt TF2 available for consoles and not only PC???
-
1 pointif any thing make it a rule where you must be in the server and in the Scrim lobby to show that you want to play. Use the ts logs to see who are the first 10 in ts then the first 10 in game.
-
1 pointFat Man Out is like all the good people in the server gets to play which gets fair-ish teams since good players are good at the game. First Come First Serve is nice in the sense that doesn't matter how shit you are at the game as long as you get there first you get to play which might get bad teams maybe not a lot but sometimes it happens. What we should do is if someone is on the server waiting for the 10 man for lets say 30+ minutes he should still get prioritized to play if we decide to do fat man out since if they didn't get picked they waited all that time for nothing.

Just do Fat Man Out if people join up really quickly (~12+ people join around the same time) and do First Come First Serve if people take a bit to join and suddenly burst in last second (caters to people who have actually spent time waiting and prevents them from being replaced by a last-second wave) -

What Made You Join Xg
Egossi reacted to realBelloWaldi for a post in a topic
I was 14 and my english was garbage. I wanted to play some Team Fortress 2 and happened to join Jailbreak. It took a while for me to understand the gamemode but once I got how it works it was super fun and I started making friends like @Rejects @Gwoash and @kbraszzz. I remember telling Rejects privately that I was gonna apply for mod when I'd 16, but thanks to @kbraszzz I actually got it when I was 14, haha. Honestly pretty funny how things went, @Egossi and I went from worst enemies to best friends forever :kiss::kiss: and there were other really great times I had on the servers. -

-2 pointsGame Name: The Legend of Zelda - The Ocarina of Time Platform: Nintendo 64 Time Spent: 50~ Hours. Do you recommend? Yes 100%. What you rate the game: (1 to 10) 9.8 Initial Thoughts: I played this as a child and watched my brother play it when it first came out, and I was blown away by how different the game was compared to things I was used to at that time. (i.e. super mario brothers) The game is about a kid named Link (hidden in the Kokiri Forest and taken care of from the great Deku Tree) who has to save Hyrule from the antagonist Ganondorf; The king of the Gerudo Thieves. Pros: Music - an incredible soundtrack surrounds this game that really complements the unique locations throughout the world. Unique music for boss fights, dungeons, mobs, shops, and side characters. The music is iconic now and given respect throughout the Zelda series time to time with small iterations to make them stand out. Shout out to Gerudo Valley! Open World - For the most part, you can travel to everywhere you see as long as you have the necessary items. There is a ton of secrets and side missions you can do that is not forced upon you, and these places are not always near your main destinations so it really encourages you to explore and try to figure out the puzzles. Difficulty (Medium) - It's not a very hard game, but it's not something that is super linear that babysits you to progress forward like games nowadays. You will get stuck time to time, and you really need to listen to the clues throughout the world if you play through it the first time. The clues throughout the game are given very creatively and subtlety through the use of Navi (your fairy), unique objects, and important NPC's. Cons: Glitches - This is a double edged sword as this game is super bugged in terms of how much you can glitch this game but it also makes it one of the most watched games that get speedrun on Twitch. Ocarina of Time generally (a full run through, not 100%) would take you about 10ish hours normally to finish, but with the help of glitches (nothing third party) you can finish the game in under 20 minutes. Some glitches do potentially crash the game as well, but as long as you aren't aiming to do glitches the game runs fine. Combat (Easy) - Once you understand the mechanics of defending and how to deal the most damage via jump slashing, you can usually 1-2 cycle boss fights and dying pretty much becomes impossible. Final Thoughts: One of the childhood classics, a game most deemed as the greatest of all time. Definitely revolutionary for its era, and easily in my top 5 favorite games. It's single player, but the Zelda Titles (aside from the Four Swords) are meant to be single player games and they do it really well. This game lasts a good long time, minimum 10 hours game time before you finish a play through for the first time if you aren't familiar with the puzzles, but there is a ton of secrets and puzzles that easily add 5+ hours if you want to potentially 100% the game or get close to it. With Breath of the Wild coming out soon for the Nintendo Switch as the launch title, there is a lot of hope that this is the Zelda game that is worth the hype as the previous wii titles were not as well made as the previous titles (Majora's Mask + The Windwaker). Until the game comes out, we can only hold our breath and hope for the best.
