    iOS 11

Your previous response begs to differ. You stated that Windows was open source which is just wrong. You're also correlating anything open source to be extremely vulnerable which is not always the case and a double edged sword. Okay, none of that makes any sense because you're talking about browsers for android which are mostly closed source. So how are you correlating getting a virus on a closed source browser to be the fault of the particular android's OS being open source? Are you referring to flaws in the OS being abused or the browser? Do you have context or citations if it is the operating systems fault? This snippet of your post jumps around everywhere and doesn't sound very intelligent. What is the definition of "it's" in this case? Are you referring to android or the browser? You are referring to a browser in your post. This conversation was about an operating system, not an application. Is it possible you are not actually qualified and your time taking "Networking Systems Administration" for 3 years has in-fact not taught you anything on the matter at hand?

    iOS 11

Yeah no, windows is not open source. I don't think you're qualified to talk about security, let alone let that base your argument on why iOS is better. You're like that kid who learns a new buzz word (open/closed source) and then goes to school just to impulsively drop said buzzwords everywhere. If your only argument is security then you don't actually have any rationale as to why either iOS would be better than {insert OS here}. You'll probably do some google research before responding to this, but my point was already proven by all your silly little posts in this thread thus far.
  3. Unwelcoming? Almost all community based and big discord servers have some sort of NSFW channel. Considering it "unwelcoming" is more so a personal preference. wat
  4. ^This. Removing the NSFW channel will just leak out the content of said channel. Enjoy regulating that the grey areas! MUTE ZIE CHANNEL if you don't like what's being posted.
  5. Create a safe space rank that disallows the permission of viewing the channel.
  6. @Rhododendron can you remove a few of the plugins that take away from the vanilla experience. Mainly rpg. And anything else that takes away from the vanilla rust experience (dunno the full list, just saw rpg when I got on today).
  7. Should probably prepare months ahead of time for the transition.
  8. Ehh, it's pretty easy to just follow a guide and use regedit to change it. IIRC setting your productID to zero breaks teamspeak's productID ban all together. I still think discord's new user moderation settings are extremely powerful.
  9. This is incorrect, you can assign roles room specific permissions. Which includes basic channel perms (e.g. kicking people from the channel, moving them out, locking, etc etc). The only *issue* is that if you want a locked channel from the public, you would either need your friends to join before you lock it or assign them the connect permission via the member specific channel perms. Which in the long run is very convenient after you get your friend group added. Discord is a very robust platform so you could create a bot that generates channel access codes that people can use for gaining access to a channel. Icons is one of the few things you lose (aside from subchannels). I'm not really following with anything else in this statement, you're going to have to elaborate on connectivity functions and permission combinations. Teamspeak is only more advanced in terms of administrative power, aside from that it is an aging platform that lacks features discord has and people want. Teamspeak has a very unclear future, so if you can show me a roadmap of their development plans that would be appreciated. If not, it is to be assumed they won't update their UI.
  10. Unless teamspeak changed how their bans work, it uses your Product ID. Do you have the update log where they changed this?
  11. IP bans are easy to circumvent, if anyone wants to go out of their way to harass a xG discord we can enable any of the account moderation settings for new members (e.g. verified email+phone). Doing so would prevent even the most persistent individuals, whilst not affecting the experience of anyone with a rank on the server.
  12. Why not a public thread to iron out the issues that you or the other tf2 higher ups have with the community? If you don't think anything will come from such a discussion then you're misunderstood. Pretty silly to step down in such a fashion.
  13. I've been using discord a lot more recently and I think it's time we consider making the swap as a community. Everyone has their respective points in this thread, but as of right now teamspeak is really just people in community channels, any of the real channels are rarely used. I'll be brief with the logistics, but, Discord would be more beneficial compared to teamspeak at this point for our community. We'll still have seclusion of private/community channels. Everything we have on teamspeak right now can be integrated into our discord server (minus subchannels). A truly centralized server for all the divisions, the popularity of our tf2 division might be able to assist our CS:GO division (or others) if we have an official discord. This would be the equivalence of CS members from teamspeak spilling over to gmod+minecraft years ago. Furthering my previous point, all the members of our community will be able to socialize easily with general chats and open channels. Announcements will be easier to do and get across our community due to the nature of notifications on the platform. People utilizing the discord server are more likely to see any notification from it. I can't stress enough how powerful bots for discord can be compared to ts3. Honestly, my argument in the past has been that bigger discords are a shit show to manage. This is due to me not being in a big discord that is well managed. Well managed discords with large communities are actually nice when you have an adequate amount of staff and bots for managing chat (typically, you want to automate this). So I will retract my statements from previous threads and say bigger discords can be managed successfully (if not better than teamspeak).

Unlimited credit bug when hub was first implemented. I terrorized some stupid Canadian with screamers @Aegean
  15. No scrutiny.
  16. You did zero research and went based off of other people said, then used that information in your post. There's no telling how correct your information is on Brian. Rejects was cut a lot of slacks for blatantly lying and abusing his powers. I'm not going to hang on this too long to minimize the issues this thread is already causing people, but, the fact he was allowed to stay in this clan is definitely slack. This was probably a mixture of a lot of people liking him and slack for his work on the servers. Now, banning someone for the name "admins are badmins" is not fair. That's just shows certain staff members have thin skins. Staff should never have to use their powers for insults against them unless they are getting flat out personal attacks or are disrupting the server.
  17. The most recent ban was two years ago. Based off of this thread, the tf2 higherups have showed zero scrutiny whilst dealing with this case. Vexx agrees with me, and your posts verify my statement. You don't get where I am "coming from" if you believe an offence from two years ago should be carried over for somebody making their name "admins are badmins."
  18. Based on your previous posts, you didn't really investigate this entire situation. You don't really know the history of Brian and it sounds like you are just going based off of what other people are telling you. The way Brian was *insulting* you was agreeably childish, however, it should not warrant a ban. I mentioned the fact he was a good staff member because it implies he should have some slack cut for him. You know, the same slack rejects was cut for abusing his powers. At this point it seems like you can't handle being wrong. Since you have failed to read all of my short, but important, thread responses I'll have to reiterate this for you. When you base a ban on someone's prior bans, then the substance of those bans matter. Meaning, bogus bans should not be considered. The majority of his previous bans are permanent, and also bogus. If you're going to be a staff member and leave input on a ban appeal then you must put in careful scrutiny into your actions on the appeal. You have failed to do that.
