Why didn't you investigate the bans? You seem to be acting very irrational right now. This ban is by far one of the most ridiculous threads I have seen in years.

Let's get this straight... The solution here for a ban appeal on someone with a very minimal ban history, and a rich history of being a great staff member is to week ban him for a name on a server. Not only that, his name wasn't even offensive, it was just Admins are Badmins. Are staff that fragile that a name criticizing you is warrant of a week ban? Ridiculous. The fact this needs a ban is childish, the fact @Vexx or @Kypari didn't investigate anything is ridiculous.

If you're going to bring up a persons ban history, then the content of the bans do matter. The *procedure* does not matter when almost all of the bans are bogus (hell, there are plenty of cases where your *procedure* is not even applicable). Feel free to try and figure it which of the bans are legitimate. Based off of your post and others, no one has actually investigated. It is very easy to sweep things under the rug when you don't particularly like a person, unfortunately that won't work.

One could say asking minecraft specific questions, not server specific questions, in game instead of simply googling it can be seen as a shitty form of socializing. Nobody had to answer him, Amy's job is to administrate the server not teach people how to play minecraft. Regardless, this situation could have been handled better by Amy. Those comments from a DL were unnecessary. It doesn't help the fact you guys were scrutinizing her for no reason.

The issues Duckii had a few years ago were definitely things typical attention seeking teenagers did. It's nothing unknown, a lot of teenagers do stupid things for attention. You already know your biggest issue and what you shouldn't do anymore. If you ever regress into old habits just take a moment to remember that casual gamers cannot and will not help you. I'll go ahead and +1 this ban protest. I just want to close with a reminder and a follow up on my previous statements that your previous actions can ultimately have repercussions on Silence as he is the Site administrator. Therefore, it is ultimately up to Silence whether or not you should be unbanned as he would burden the liability that can follow with you being in this community. It would be naive for him to unban you.

Like Aegean said (and I assumed earlier), the minecraft division is obviously not shutting down. I just think it would be a smart idea since it never goes anywhere, this has been the trend for a long time. You're insane if you think xG should continue to host empty minecraft servers. You're also nonsensical if you think xG should do another *complete makeover* for minecraft. While we're at it Nuclear dawn is a dead game, however, it is managed and paid for by Sticks. I already iterated over Nuclear Dawn in a post above, afaik Gmod is under the same boat and Sticks doesn't have time for it. I also think Nuclear Dawn should be shutdown as a few months ago Sticks made a post in a thread somewhere stating along the lines of under 1000 players launching the game daily (literally a dead game). Gmod/CS:GO has seen a lot more success in previous revisions than minecraft. CS:GO also has very active events (which minecraft doesn't even have). I think CS:GO/Gmod can do well with a revamp, minecraft just isn't practical for obvious reasons.

I mean minecraft servers need a lot of money/advertisements backing it to be successful if you want population. Minigames is the trend as well. And if you want to make any money you spend back you need to break the minecraft EULA then proceed to evade their blacklist once you are caught. Not to mention if you want your server to be scalable for big populations you will 100% need an experienced Java developer that knows how spigot and profiling the JVM works, which is not possible through the NFO game panel we have had access to. Although this is not an issue we have right now because we have zero population any form of traffic to the server and you will 100% have these issues. The point I am trying to make is successful minecraft servers cost money. Currently, almost all successful minecraft servers do what they do for profit (and by successful, I mean servers that consistently have population, even if it is a small amount of players). It's definitely time to move on from minecraft and shut down the division. They haven't seen anything outside of short success for several revisions of the division. This post will probably be disregarded but it's the truth, I keep saying it and it always happens. The minecraft division will keep dying. @Aegean
