I'm sorry that I'm not contributing anything in this reply, but I feel as if it's not needed. I will say that you're stupid as hell for thinking the term "nigga" is not a slur or slang. Use your damn head before you make threads like this. Plus it doesn't matter if someone uses it as a "term for endearment"; It's still a slur/slang in the long run. You have no idea what "Free Speech" actually is. Just stop. This is because you act as if this a joke. If staff can see that it's fine, then they won't do anything. Plus this is completely different than using a slur. Stereotyping someone won't really get you in trouble unless it's going too far or the person doesn't like how they're being treated because of it. Because no matter what, the word will have power. You can't just take that away from literally everyone who comes across the servers. Go use the word in a public setting. See how many people look at you like you're out of your mind. The word may be banned here in xG, but in society it's almost just as banned. It's very frowned upon. So please, use your head and think a lot more. They say there is no such thing as stupid questions, but this thread proves that wrong.

Won't lie, I skimmed most of the posts here, but I'm just going to throw this out there: y'all are [probably] over-thinking this entire situation. Back before this was such a huge deal, we had one golden rule that blanketed everything and it was this (ye old fags will remember this one): if you wouldn't be caught dead viewing whatever it is you're looking at on the servers at a professional level (IE. at work, school, etc), then it most likely isn't PG13 and thus should not be permitted. Or to put this in an even more concise way, if you wouldn't want your teacher/professor/superior seeing you looking at it, odds are it is not PG13. That is literally the easiest way to go about it without throwing a wrench into the whole thing by asking what "nudity" is defined as (seriously?) or whether a spray is acceptable/unacceptable. With that said, come on people; go to a beach and then go to a 'nudist' beach if you need a clear definition of what constitutes nudity. As for everything else, use your common sense because for the thousandth time, it does not matter if it's a minor/animal/cartoon in a sexualized position, it's still a freaking 'something' that is emphasizing the whole sexualized aspect. Therefore, it is not allowed on our Servers and should thus be punished accordingly by the rules set-in-place. I mean for the love of God, it shouldn't be this difficult to determine what is PG13 and what isn't :coffee:

Gonna bring up a few thoughts then. Firstly, what is considered acceptable or not acceptable in terms of nudity now? Bare butt checks? A bare male chest? Any showing skin? Would a super skimpy bikini be acceptable since it's technically nudity? How about covered butt checks, or butt checks in a thong? Also, I don't mean to assume but I take it "hate symbols" very much would exclude swastika's from being allowed to be displayed? If so, then what about the very clear image of Hitler and a swastika in the cells of casuarina on jailbreak or the Hitler boss of FF2 that displays them on the model? Are these just fine, yet players can't flaunt around with these images themselves? I REALLY don't mean to whine or be petty with this, but my biggest point about this is I felt there was a fairly clear understanding about images beforehand and didn't notice a significant amount of confusion over such (in short genitalia or anything that broke other rules was unacceptable and where the line generally drawn). The rule about imagery certainly needed to be updated and worded better, but now to me it seems as if it's only created further confusion and conflict over what does and doesn't fall within the new ruling and what, if anything (beyond the inclusion about minors), has changed. I just want to know if i'm alone on this confusion, and the last few messages to this thread have lead me to believe otherwise.

As mentioned before he has a huge problem with people killing him but he also has a problem with the admins in general @Elcark warned him not to use certain buttons on MASSCC and he instantly threw a fit cursing all admins and left the server before we could even talk to him. Then when I tried to add him to talk to him about his behavior he refused to add me.

This guy got hyper-upset about my soldier loadout. Like upset at me, as a person, for what cosmetics I used as a specific class in a video game, and proceeded to be hyper-toxic until he got fed up and left. I don't know, maybe he was just off that day or whatever, but I feel like members that are immediately hostile based on the way someone's character in a videogame looks, (this wasn't a situation where he got irritated that I used the reserve shooter or anything, he was just legitimately upset about the cosmetics I was wearing, actually legitimately angry,) aren't people who should be representing xG. I've also heard numerous horror stories about Zach's searches for a sexy ERP partner. -1

Anything that would get you charged with Public Indecency here in the states. In seriousness, actual showing of genitals, either through clothing or not. A lot of players were talking about if whether or not "bulges" would be allowed, and honestly I feel like that's on the edge, since the character in the spray could be fully clothed at the time. As long as the clothes aren't see-through, then I guess it doesn't really count unless there's an extreme amount of detail put into it. Another addition to that could be anything considered "sexually explicit" or an image suggestion something sexually explicit. I've seen a lot of cliche "anime girl sucks on popsicle" type animated sprays. Although not technically anything explicit or involving nudity, it's suggesting something explicit, but I personally don't feel like it would break any rules (as long as there's no nudity or it's extremely suggestive...). Even then, would a spray like this be considered "extremely suggestive"?: (Click here for it since I don't want to run the risk of it being a no-no) As for what @Elcark brought up about bikinis or skimpy clothing. Most public beaches have rules to where bikinis cross a line to being not allowed. Pretty much anything that shows the genitals or areas around it, as long as it's technically a part of the genitals. So nothing like "Oh, the thighs are near the crotch so that's not allowed!". I feel like that could be used as well, since I've seen a lot of sprays like that. Someone else could add on to this, but I feel a good base is the "No nudity" rule and maybe a "No silhouettes/shapes resembling genitals or nudity". Since we get more sprays involving that than anything else.

-1 Makes a lot of members really uncomfortable with erotic roleplay and the sorts, I've also seen quite a bit of toxicity on the servers.

That's kinda completely your fault though. If there's no staff online when you're being bothered and you're not trying to do anything about it because you don't want to, you can't be helped and have no right to complain. The rest has already been stated by the other higher ups.

How much influence do you think we have on society? Actually, you could totally go to the Admins about that. There's a rule that states (and it's different on every server... no idea why...) : Respect all players. If someone is deliberately being a dingus to you because you're a girl, then that's player disrespect which is actually against the rules. Sounds to me like whoever you play with don't do their job in that regard... Oh God... Oh God no... I really hope other people don't actually feel like that and that it's just a meme. This is a video game server. Where people go to have a bit of fun after a crappy day of work/school or whatever. The rules are just in place so people can play a game without someone calling them racially based insults or subject them to pictures of gore porn. Wait, what?... +1 for just this part. This part is true. Higher-ups are currently working on this, and we'll hopefully see a change soon. Other than that -1. It's considered a slur by uhh... a large majority of society... and therefore it's against the rules.

It'd probably be better to just delete it. Especially since it would be better to add the FF2 plugin specific added attributes to an actual FF2 gamemode guide (like here), rather than making a separate one. Especially since it's a part of base FF2, and not an added plugin/setting. I'd do it myself, but I'm busy with 8 other projects currently.

You have a few good points, but a few more dumb ones, and here's why. Yeah it actually is, Nigga is slang for Nigger, which is an offensive term which has been used to insult blacks every since America's slave days. There's a lot of weight carried in the word. Black friends who use it as a term of endearment do so because they have just as much love placed in their friends. There's a lot more to this, and I suggest you be careful of what you say before you know exactly what your saying entails. I find it disturbing that you say "Nigga is NOT an offensive slur" as an absolute statement. So "literally no one" is going to get offended by people insulting each other with racial slurs? Do you realize how contradictory you're being?! A breech of free speech because you can't use racial slurs while on xG servers? That's an exaggeration. No one cares if you call your friends Nigga, just keep it between you and your friends and don't take it to our public servers. Furthermore, unless YOU were using the term in an endearing way (which you weren't) on the servers, then your point is moot, as you had to be using it as a nickname for someone, or in an offensive way. Again, saying people who intend to create hate-seech simply use "Nigger" as opposed to "Nigga" is a moot point, because "Nigga" is short for "Nigger"! Eh, you bring up a good point here. But we can either promote and allow people to call each other whatever they want, or discourage the use of these words. We either give "words like this" no meaning due to overuse, and new curse words are created in their place, or we encourage players to respect each other. I think I'd chose the latter for the future of xG. I appreciate that you don't complain about every little thing which gets thrown your way, but honestly, the example you described is a lot closer to teasing then demeaning you by your race. I'll to the first to admit it's borderline sexist, but that's still no excuse to use racial slurs. I've never heard someone make fun of trans people on xG. Maybe I've just not been online at the right time, but if it's disrespectful to the extreme you describe, you could've used !calladmin, you know. Apparently you didn't know, but child-porn sprays of any kind were recently cracked down upon, hard. xG isn't perfect, but at least we're constantly improving. Oh I agree rules should be made more consistent, which is why I spent two days writing a thread suggesting mainly revisions to make all of our rule lists more consistent. Again, we're constantly improving. Like I said earlier, it's a complex issue and while it's very debatable, but I think nothing good can come out of allowing people to demean and disrespect each other freely. I've seen some extremely nasty shit on the internet, people who talk like absolute assholes and will do anything to ruin your day and put you down. I think we've all seen that. But are we going to do something about it? At least xG is, even if we're a little inconsistent at times. FF2 Used to be one of our most populated servers early last year until it slowly died and went on a very long and forgotten fixing hiatus. It used to be my favorite server and lately when it gains a small population I see old regulars start to come on. I agree with the idea as we can boost population for servers that already hold small promising communities (uber upgrades and pkmn). Even now I'm pretty sure I saw ff2 recommendations for bosses and maps just to give more of a reason to do so! See you this saturday ;) @NitNat
