  1. Ayy so I wasn't going to make a thread because for some reason I thought I had another week, but I had midterms this last week (Just turned in my 12 page Research paper after a solid 7 hour editing session sitting in my school library kill me unironically plz) obviously with only being able to study for anything at school I had to be there at least 6 hours a day last week so I might not make the 14 hour minimum by monday. If I'm being honest I'm super anxious to play and theres a decent chance I'll get 14 hours in the next two days, because this week has been that shitty, but I understand getting my activity on the last two days before promo/demo is also shitty on my part, so I just want you to know I'm not going to make a habit out of it. Much love and I promise I'll be much more consistent starting tomorrow, and more my usual chill self lol. @Bello @mrnutty12 @Vexx @Sesh
  2. +1 it's not necessarily a bad map, outside of being able to block doors with arcade machines there aren't really any glitches or exploits, the issue with this map is just the trolling with music/light spam etc. For you to reasonably play this map enjoyably you need to disable music and avoid the disco area. Sure it's not that hard to do, but that's still a rather high barrier to entry just to be on a map without going insane. The thing is though, you can't even do that, because what's a cool, well executed and reasonably fair idea on 2_a is a pretty big flaw in 2_2. I'm talking of course about random spawns. It not only makes avoiding the flashing lights of the disco impossible, but also turns what would be a cool and decently balanced idea, the sniper towers, into just a cheese fest to race for a spawn in the other teams tower, to camp. Tl;dr we have a better cyberpunk in every way, and this one causes nothing but toxicity whenever we join. It's the biggest example of what I call the "Michael Bay effect": A map that people who understand the system nominate first because that's what usually gets picked, knowing it's bad/controversial and going to cause toxicity. Except in this case it's easier, you just play the ear rape beeping song and have your friend remove the floor. Boom, everyone on the server is pissed, but can't stop it for 30ish seconds. Then it just repeats. Honestly I usually leave on Hallway hell, and I know I'm not alone.

  4. Honestly I feel a bit sketchy about coming down this hard on him for shit talking a DM behind their back. If you're saying it's immature to talk behind people's backs in general because it's petty then fair play, but that's really as far as it goes, stuff like this: Naahhhhhhhh... Higher up has nothing to do with it. You're allowed to BM and complain about higher ups behind their backs, or at the very least it's the same level of offense as doing it to anyone else. Their position doesn't give them immunity or cause to punish people that don't like them. Talking behind people's back is petty, but opinions like this of accepting that the DM/DLs can just punish people for criticizing/shit talking/BM whatever you want to call it behind their back, is probably why people are inclined to do it behind their back and not to their face.
  5. So this is just a for fun thread and not an actual suggestion, incase anyone gets the wrong idea, but long story short in my government class our warm up today was to design an effective leadership structure for any large group of people that would fit on a notecard, and since online communities were allowed I chose xG. Here goes. It's really not that interesting. 4 CMs, one vote a piece, if tie, goes to council. Council is any odd number of "elder" members who are appointed by CMs, but can be removed with a CM majority vote OR by a community poll of members with %70+ approval, simple council majority breaks tie. Council can deny a promo from DLs by majority vote, with majority quorum, but if the same person is brought up to be promo'd the next cycle, it must be a 70% or higher council vote the second time. It doesn't cover everything, but it isn't everyday xG is part of classwork, so I thought it was cool.
  6. +1 everyone and their mother over posts to get to 50. I'm not really sure that has anything to do with maturity. His posts, atleast to me, seemed more unnecessary than immature, which isn't the biggest problem, especially if it tones down now that he reached the cutoff.. And as for servers he's more than active enough and more than mature enough. The dude deserves a shot.
  7. +1 he deserves it. The revolving door must feed.
  8. Hi Yellowrock... I'm dad ;) Cringy jokes aside ayyy welcome
  9. I'm pretty sure we've had this before and removed it for various reasons. I know the mic was one of them but I'm spacing on the rest. But really we already have two mariokart maps we don't need this.
  10. Yeah gonna have to -1 for all the reasons stated above and because I don't think you've even gone 15 minutes straight without breaking a rule on any of your accounts, you broke rules constantly and honestly deserve the ban.
  11. I mean offensive item names is a struggle but we should atleast get rid of the really bad objectors, we don't need swastikas and hentai on a signpost

Knew it would happen eventually with the brony shit. This should be a bannable offense I'm so triggered tbh
  13. Bargs (Barqs?), Whatever, the coke product one, is the only true mass produced root beer. Mug and A&W are shams.
  14. I can't be fucked to go into paint and combine two pictures so I'll just say Rum and Coke. Youtube ad friendly drink would be snapple peach tea
  15. But how do we know it's your real age for real FOR REAL this time? This sub might not even be breaking the age rule for all we know ;) ;) ;) +1 you've matured since the before time and have done a good job getting DR populated again, and I'm pretty sure you won't abuse or get an ego the size of Texas again. Plus you'll get the best possible maturity test since there's so much history with you and the clan that snide joke comments will be inevitable (obviously all lighthearted of course). Just take it all in stride and be the best mod in xG you were meant to be. Good luck ya cyborg.
  16. It CAN be double spaced? That's weak sauce. If you really care you can get that word count up. Nobody's gonna be editing so the space is just a crutch. Like the phlog.
  17. OwO
  18. Should be donezo
  19. More like petition to actually get one amirite?
  20. +1 the dude has been active for years and is an upstanding member of the community. The maturity is there as well as huge amounts of activity. He's been the low key super knowledgeable and friendly guy forever let's give him the shot he deserves. Also he's my bby and I love him so I'm like, super biased ;)
  21. I don't want to quote the whole post but sesh just reminded me of a separate issue that I forgot to add, that it's wierd to see members use xG tags when staff aren't. If we had issues with people thinking xg members were staff before, then adding staff not wearing tags to that mix makes it way worse. I know xG tags aren't a requirement so that makes fixing it difficult but it makes it way more confusing.
  22. It's not about me though, I know your profile picture and I know @Sesh is going to be a single word under ten letters that's a pokemon or Reptile name. But new players and members are going to find it super confusing if they don't update their steam tags the second they add you. If that's the route you suggest then we should write in the staff lists to update friend tags for DMs+ once we add them.
  23. It's gonna be a -1 from me dawg. xG servers don't have to play host to your edgy conversations. If you're being disruptive and staff deems it enough of an issue to take action then that is pretty much that.
  24. So since we've had this for a while I want to point out one thing I've noticed, it's not the biggest issue and I don't want to be the ruin the fun guy but It's really hard now to figure out who higher ups are looking through steam friends. And I'm sure new players and members have it even harder than those of us that have known you guys forever. So maybe if we tried out something like DM+ wearing tags all the time, or even just when they aren't on the server. Or even something as simple as being more consistent with names so it's easier to keep track. Just really anything different that makes it easier to communicate with or even find higher ups over steam. Because right now if you don't know profile pictures or renaming habits it's a crapshoot. Like I said it isn't the biggest issue but improving it could help communication.
  25. If admin+ can still deem it unbreakable than +1 It was a fun map to play and since the biggest problem with spawncanping (setting up buildings on top of the room model and behind the door on that one tent behind and to the left of spawn) would just be considered exploiting and stopped then it should be much harder to make breaking it absolutely impossible anymore. I'm a bit wary but it atleast can't be as bad as it was. Lol compared to what used to happen on nimbus the worst of clocktown is a brisk workout at best, you sweet summer child.
