Freaking Lisp languages like clojure. Dynamic programming is fantastic and quick with their optimations, but to wrap my head around why it works is just so mind fudgey. Though I recommend learning it.

It'll be helpful to specify how you'll settle the score. As well, I'm personally confused if this is a "game" (with a goal to win using files), or a personal FTP Client. What's the objective you wish to accomplish? Simply uploading a new file (compare dates/checksums), or something unique?

An official update of the original, or a remake/fork? I've been out for 2 months, don't know any new changes.

The SourceBans plugin that are on the servers have a pre-determined list of what you can ban for. For a "Quick and Easy" ban, though there is an option for a detailed explanation, though mods and higher are picked for their competency, so the members and xG staff can trust them and their bans. As well, if there's any confusion or issues they can be approached to explain their situation and opinion. The plugin is old and mostly just fixed to make it work, the saying "Why fix it if it ain't broke" would apply here. Creating a brand new ban management system would take quite a while. Though there is the option to fix and touch it up. Also, mods should never have permanent ban options. The whole "Mod" concept is a "Mini-Admin", if you do well enough as a probationary admin, you get to be promoted into admin.

With regards to this, creating a universal hub is not difficult, as we already have MySQL servers set up correctly for this situation. The only difficulty would be adjusting the hub plugin to recognize a "_tf2" item vs a "_csgo" item cs a "_mc" item. Which would just need a flag and a parser to not get confused. Not as difficult. From my talks with @Rhododendron this was the first goal. Though development slipped away and died. Though I'm back from where I was, so I can be a more active person, which I'm sure I'll have fun and enjoy properly.
