  1. +1 Has been quite active on TGH and afaik, has been on practically every day for a while now. I'm in for bonfire going straight to admin, too. He's helped out in pointing out things to me personally on several different occasions when I was a bit too preoccupied to notice otherwise. Very helpful! I would love to see him on our staff team again.
  2. Hello! I'm going to be taking a class next semester for C#. Does anyone know a solid free site or platform that I could learn on? Thanks!
  3. +1 I see you fairly often on server and you seem to be a pretty nice person. I wouldn't be opposed to your membership! A: 7 M: 7
  4. Congratulations, @Kypari, @Elcark and @Arnude! ?
  5. +1 I really don't like the hallways of the map and I can't say I've heard "Let's go to the hallway cyberpunk" from anyone in a very long time. This is just a personal opinion, though. I don't know who likes the map, but there's a few I'm sure.
  6. Heya! I just wanted to let everyone that cares know that I will be taking a family vacation to Japan as a "Generations" trip from June 12th to June 27th, give or take a day or two. We will be renting a wifi pass in Japan and I'm almost confident that I will not be able to access the internet constantly. That's all, thanks for reading!
  7. +1 I've seen you on tgh and you seem like a cool guy. A: 7 M: 8
  8. -1 Just because you don't like the map doesn't mean we should remove it. There's nothing functionally wrong with the map itself. If we were to get rid of all the maps that encourage a limited style of play, we would have to get rid of maps like bunker, jollyroger, darktower, seabed and more. Many of our regular players enjoy playing the map anyways and just because you don't like getting sniped from spawn means it should be removed.

    Deemo

Game Name: Deemo Platform: PS Vita, Mobile, and Nintendo Switch Time Spent: 130+ hours Do you recommend? Yes What you rate the game: 8.6 / 10 Initial Thoughts: I bought Deemo off the AppStore on impulse for $2 after getting into rhythm games. Before that game, I had played and enjoyed Groove Coaster, osu!, Cytus and VOEZ. VOEZ and Cytus were made by the same company as Deemo, so I thought: “huh, maybe I’ll like this one, too?” After downloading the game, I was intrigued by the visuals presented at the very start of the game. It was either overly detailed or very symbolic. The music fit very well with the game’s atmosphere and the story was presented in a way that, to me, was very aesthetically pleasing. Gameplay and Story: Moving on to playing the game itself, in the beginning, I was absolute garbage because I couldn’t time my taps right on the bar. Playing the game would be very difficult if you have a hard time with rhythm and hand-eye coordination. However, the game had a very interesting UI that kept me playing the game. The songs were beautiful, I thought. The art that accompanied each song was fitting and symbolic as I later found out. Everything had meaning in the game and it was clear to me how much love the developers put into making the game. As I progressed through songs, the story slowly revealed itself. There were no words and hardly any animation. The story was told through pictures and sounds. This was a unique was of telling a story- it seemed almost like a picture book. Near the end of the story, it all started coming together neatly with some loose ends. Those loose ends, however, were not the result of lazy story design, but rather they seemed to let the player guess and theorize at how the story happened. This game made me tear up at the end, which I haven’t done for a long while, so it was refreshing in a way. Backstory: The backstory of the game is a mystery when you first start out. The atmosphere created by the visuals and sounds matched this sense of wonder perfectly, imo. More and more is revealed as you go along with the story. Pros: The art is very nice and the symbolism involved keeps me guessing at what it is trying to tell me The sounds create a fitting atmosphere that never once felt out of place The story, although possibly cliche, warmed my heart and made me tear up The backgrounds involved are interactive and interesting to look around Cons: The story progresses slowly at times The gameplay is difficult for those unfamiliar with rhythm games Only on PS Vita, Mobile and Switch Not free Final Thoughts: I love this game. I can honestly say that it is my favorite game. However, I know that many people are not as interested in rhythm games, so I cannot give it a 10/10 everyone should play it (even though I want everyone to try it). They are still updating the game with new songs 3 years after release. The DLC for more songs is a must if you want to fully enjoy Deemo, but it’s entirely up to the player and how much they enjoy the game.
  11. +1 I don't really mind the map layout, but I don't think it's really good, either. The part about the map that really bugs me is the music. Imo, it's a bit too loud and gets obnoxiously repetitive after 30 minutes. The majority of people that I've run into only go to seabed as a meme or if they do not know what it is. And upon arrival, most players say things like: "oh, this map" or "I hate this map. Why did we go here?"
  12. I use the direct hit to clear out scouts and snipers easy peasy. Otherwise, for classes with more than 125 HP, I go with stock or mangler. DH is ridiculously fun against low hp, low mobility classes like snipers- just blowing them away in one shot. Very satisfying.

  15. Game Name: Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds Platform: PC, Xbox,Ps4 Time Spent: Sora: 100 hours Shameless: 50 hours Do you recommend? Sora: Honestly, it depends if the gameplay is your kind of thing. The super over simplified version is: if you like tactical, but slower firefights, you’ll enjoy playing PUBG. More info in Gameplay. Shameless: To be blunt, yes. While the game can be a bit cruel with RNG playing a HUGE factor in the gameplay, it can be quite an enjoyable game with a few friends, and a whole lot of patience. What you rate the game: Sora: 7.2 / 10 Shameless: 6.9 / 10 Initial Thoughts: Sora: Right after receiving this game as a gift, I went in blind to a game to get the general sense of the gameplay and how movement works. The very first place I dropped in was one of the outer buildings in Pecado in Miramar. Pecado is well known to be a popular drop zone for players. Another player dropped with me and as the -much- less experienced player, I died pretty quickly. But, the gameplay interested me enough to continue playing, so I went into 9 consecutive solo rounds and some, I came pretty close to winning. That felt good as a newer player- the fact that I could get that close to winning with little to no experience. Gameplay and Story: Sora: Because there is no story in PUBG, I will be focusing on mainly on the gameplay. The gameplay is fairly smooth with several exceptions, in my opinion. The combat is as I have stated before, very tactical and drawn out most of the time. The movement is not like TF2, but more like a very straightjacketed CS:GO. What bugs me a lot when I switch between playing TF2 and PUBG is the difference in movement, as a lot of what you can do in TF2 to evade bullets is just not there in PUBG. However, this movement is a lot more realistic in an objective sense when actually in combat. That is, until you somehow fall 5 feet and die. Or if your car glitches into the ground. Or if network lag detected. Now let’s get into the strange happenings of PUBG. There’s a lot to be said about what can and does happen in PUBG. Sometimes you’ll be running along and you jump only to find that your jump didn’t go where you wanted it do go and you must wait the extra animations for landing to change direction and continue. Sometimes you’ll be driving along the terrain in PUBG and your car loses a jousting match with a pebble, which sends you flying 50 feet in the air to come crashing down and die in a vehicle explosion. The gameplay concept of a Battle Royale game is nothing new, either, but it is still fun to play against so many people. It gives a certain feeling of “you versus the 99,” which is really both intimidating and exciting to me. Shameless: There is no story in PUBG,you are a man or woman placed in a plane with 100 other players to fight, survive, and be the last man/squad alive. Backstory: There is no backstory for PUBG, only the idea of survival. Pros: Sora: Shooting others and eventually killing players is very satisfying Collaborating with friends is always fun Gun attachments add a lot to the gameplay, making some interactions play favorably for one player over another if they happen to have certain attachments Driving in cars makes for some hilarious happenings Shameless: Fun with friends Wide arrange of guns at your disposal Cosmetics to spice up your online avatar Cons: Sora: IMO, RNG decides rounds for the most part Movement is strangely straightjacketed and doesn’t give much freedom The guns system is fairly convoluted and takes experience of more than a few games to learn. Driving can kill you as easily as it can kill the other person Shameless: RNG will hate you The map will close with time Slow at the start Other players can get a unfair advantage on you Final Thoughts: Sora: PUBG is a fun game to play with friends. It has all sorts of strategies and mechanics that just can’t be mastered in a few games. The combat is tactical and drawn out, but it’s got great options while in combat. The idea of Battle Royale games has been around forever, and PUBG really isn’t very much different IMO. However, it is still a very fun game to play because of the moments when you’re driving and your car does a 1080 or when you ambush an enemy squad with guns blazing and wipe them. I can’t say it’s a step above any other Battle Royale game, but it’s on its way, though rather slowly, to being a great game. Update #7 is out now, which adds emotes and refines the UI of the game as well as makes the game more stable in general. I have high hopes for the game in this regard! Shameless: While PUBG can be at time furiously bullshit in some instances, it is without a doubt a fun experience for you and a friend. While most people will say: ”PUBG is shit, play Fortnite,” I say: “play both, have your own opinion,” because both are fun games with different art styles and mechanics. 16. I love me some music, but I'm pretty picky about what I like. 18. +1 I assumed you were already in xG! Genuine surprise, here. But hey, now that you're applying, I can plus 1 you. Precious is a nice guy and is on quite a lot. I see no problems with his future membership in xG. A 9 M 9
  19. +1 Despite the name as Elcark mentioned, you seem to be pretty level headed and mature to say the least. You also haven't caused any trouble afaik, so that's a plus. A 9 M 8
  20. +1 I've had many players build on top of the spawn when on that map and it gets obnoxious at times. I would like to see this map removed because of the exploits possible here.
