  1. I don't think we get "powers" as members, feel free to inform me of anything I don't know though, I don't really explore new things, and I barely understand how the MC server works. Other than that, I don't really know if I should vouch considering I'm his brother, and the bias here is pretty obvious. He can be pretty immature at times, but he doesn't generally use the voice/chat systems, so it shouldn't be too much of an issue. You'll probably basically only see him on minecraft or CSGO, maybe a TF2 server once in a blue moon. I honestly don't get why he's suddenly so compelled to be part of a group he used to barely take part in, but he must be really enjoying the minecraft server or something, in which case I'd say give him a shot. He's likely going to have major problems with vouches though, as nobody else probably knows him. Hesitant +1
  2. I'm going to close this. I've been a lot less active on TF2 recently (to the point of it being problematic for a hypothetical member of staff, I've been and will likely continue to be busy,), and I don't really desire to have a position as staff, it's just that at the time of making this app there were severe and problematic active staff shortages; to the point of having trouble kicking hackers and rulebreakers, etc. Recently we've had a ton of well-suited people filling those roles, and it shouldn't be a problem anymore. Anyway, thanks if you said something nice, congratulations to all the new recruits!
  3. I'm with Krampus, I'd love to remove it as long as we toss the other in the bin as well, however, that's not the vote, and atm, this cyberpunk is marginally better than the old one, and is currently my only reprise from the worse one in question. Just to weigh the differences... There's a line between pornography and art. Would we kick someone with the statue of David as their spray? I doubt it, as pornography is intended to elicit erotic rather than aesthetic feeling. I don't think any small child is beating their meat to the woman in that painting. The rule is "no nudity" though, and I suppose that's in part due to dealing with trolls who would count their porn as "art" when approached about it, and "no nudity" gives a pretty airtight case for booting them, whereas if the rule was merely "no porn" or whatever, there could be legitimate argument as to when the line is crossed between artistic value and porn, as believe it or not, there's plenty of actual critically acclaimed art designed to elicit erotic feeling from the viewer. Hell I remember some guy who raised hell on Poke Trade because the admin/mod wanted him to change his spray, as it contained exposed breasts, and he complained about how "sexist" the rules were, that, "a picture of a man could have an exposed chest but a woman couldn't" or whatever. Obviously he was just there to be a l33t mast3r troll and raise as much hell as he could for 15 minutes or so. We probably don't want to open up the door to more of his ilk. My personal opinion is that this is a rated-M game. 17 and up or whatever, and I think steam at least pretends to value the ESRB system, meaning you shouldn't even be able to download the game if you aren't one, at least seventeen, or two, lying about your age. By this game's rating, it should be assumed that everyone playing it could handle anything found in your average rated-R movie. You don't see gratuitous amounts of explicit sex or pornography in an R movie, but you might see some nudity or something, and generally not excessive amounts of such. I get the concerns of nudity and children and whatnot, but I think complaints about non-erotic depictions of reality (yes, women do have boobs under their clothes, this is a part of reality) are just a little bit too puritanical for a server based around a game where people kill each other in viscous ways while screaming curse words, and every weird fetish under the sun is fair game (vore, eyeball licking, furries, scalies, home-made descriptive steamy fanfiction entries about burping into Val's butthole, etc.) so long the depiction in question doesn't contain any nudity. Anyway, I'm going to wrap this up because it's getting kind of ranty, in short, I don't really care. I don't particularly like the map, and the only reason I'd want to keep it around is because it sometimes saves me from the hallway. On one hand removing the map in question keeps the rules consistent, on the other it provides legitimacy for a rule I don't really like or think has a place in an M-Rated game. I'm going to -1 as it has, (and has had,) no immediate impact on the way player sprays are handled, or any increase in sprays that break our rules, and if it turns out to be a major problem we can always vote again.
  4. I don't like 'em putting chemicals in the water that TURN THE FREAKIN' FROGS GAY!
  5. Well, number one, he's not even a member. Number two, he's my brother, it's a joke. (I can't even fathom people thinking I was serious with this, regardless of whether you knew his relation to me or not, obviously we're not going to ban someone just because I said we should with no reason or evidence, lol.)
  6. "Avast ye scurvy dogs" is really funny to me for some reason. Just act like you're really into role-playing as your pirate OC until they leave.
  7. When clicked... Leads to a completely different account. Also this;
  8. Division: Team Fortress 2 In-Game Name: Lan Identity: 76561198085165993 Position: Moderator Time Active: 2-3 years. Age: 18 Experience: I used to mod a server for a game called "Primal Carnage" which is now pretty much dead, but have no experience in source games Donated: Yes Information: Really I just want to be able to boot all those cheeky kids who spam while knowing that it's against the rules. Anyway, just figured that since I'm on the TF2 servers a lot of the time anyway, I might as well just be an extra pair of eyes who can do something about that.
  9. I'd like to at least point out that the "loli scout legion" joke stems from a moment on trade gaming where Swoosh kept having to delete loli sprays, but there were like 5-6 scouts from different teams who would show up at the exact spot whenever he tried to delete the spray before anyone could see it. It's more of an inside-joke than anything.
  10. I mean sometimes I feel bad for antagonizing people for a "thought-crime" so to speak... but then I remember that lolis are hyper-sexualized pre-pubescent little girls, IDK, I think it's beyond disgusting, but personal opinions probably shouldn't factor into this, otherwise we would have threads to remove the furry/scaly/whatevertagidon'tlike every other day. However, I think there is a perfectly legitimate reason for removing the tag if the fetish in question is illegal in 25 US states and most of Canada. (edit) Forgot to +1
  11. I'm making my status shorter and less obnoxious.
  12. While I agree with your statement in a general sense, I think it's an awful idea to open up the door to, "I'm leaving because ____ got admin." or, "I don't like ____" or, "_____ is toxic." Any grievances with anyone should be compiled into abuse reports so that the problem can actually be solved. I wasn't around, but from what I've picked up, there was period within this clan where quite a few people were stepping down or leaving because of admin positions, specific promotions, etc, and that doesn't seem like a great time. My point merely is, claiming someone is toxic and having no, or only anecdotal evidence, doesn't do anything to improve the situation, and probably just heightens aggression. I realize however that this is probably not the only reason for Skeletal stepping down, and I wish him the best in whatever he does from here on out (in fact I hope he might come back some day). Nobody likes bullshit drama, but people can have issues with each other and state them without it developing into that, Tatost. If tuna is part of the reason he stepped down, that's fine, he's at no fault for stating it. I think Tuna's a nice enough guy but I'm not jumping on Skeletal here simply because he might have issues with Tuna that I've never known about. Also, if you don't want a situation to develop into a "firefight" you probably shouldn't belittle anyone by implying that they're immature or unfit for staff simply because of an opinion. tl;dr version: 1. The clan isn't Salem, and we can't hang someone off of rumor. (You know, due process, "innocent until proven guilty" and all.) 2. Tatost, why even bring this up here if you wanted to discuss it in private and "avoid a firefight"? You've inadvertently turned this into a shitstorm man.
  13. Personally, I dislike Cold's version of goldenrod. The skybox includes more buildings (in addition to the ones in the main city), which just makes it harder to render if you have r_3dsky enabled, people constantly roll noclip to it, then teleport their whole team there, effectively separating both teams and eliminating any action for however long they please. I also find the map being small just annoying in general, as there's less space to move, and a lot of the "sneaky spots" are no longer available. It also has that obnoxious orange lighting, and kool-aid water. +1
  14. In case anyone's confused, I'll try to explain the differences, if someone wants to give the actual names for each one, feel free, I don't remember and don't have them all downloaded atm. - We have the first Goldenrod with textures from the original GB/GBC original Gold/Silver/Crystal games, made to-scale with the characters from TF2. This is the one where projectiles and bullets will not pass through trees. (The Original.) - We have the second Goldenrod, made by Cold Endeavor (I think), this version is slightly smaller than the original Goldenrod, and is notable for its skybox (accessible via noclip), as well as its "purple-ish" water. Within this map, projectiles and bullets will pass through trees. - We have the third and final Goldenrod. This one is notable for its textures and models from the DS' Heart-Gold/Soul-Silver versions. (I also think it can only be "night" on the map, but I don't remember and can't check atm.) Within this map, projectiles and bullets will pass through trees. (This map is also the only one with the train rail elevated above the main road near read spawn.) Essentially this map just looks better.
  15. "loli"? more like "lol-leave" amirite? huehuehuehuehuehuehuehuehuehuehuehuehuehuehuehuehuehuehueheuheuhuehuehuehuehuehuehuehuehuehuehuehue-
  16. Just a little boy's humble shirt idea. @Vexx
  17. Punch a Nazi today! Also a new Wolfenstein is coming out.
  18. Beautiful, truly a stunning promo/demo to be passed down to our children as legend.
  19. May I suggest capping the max level/money/exp to be much lower? It's pretty fun to have some of these insane upgrades, but the fact that you can have basically infinite money and exp means you never need to make any real balancing decisions, as you can eventually totally max out everything anyway. Furthermore having near infinite money/exp generated is what leads to people eventually becoming almost impossible to kill. I think money should be capped to an amount that allows you to max out two stats at most to be honest, that way you might actually have to choose between offensive and defensive capabilities. Also, as much as I hate to say it, disabling caps is probably for the better when the exp/money system relies solely on killing people, as capping just leads to a period of free kills, ergo free money, and then a snowball effect, making it easier to cap next round.
