No, what you look like absolutely shouldn't because as I said, there are very good players who don't care about anything premium offers whatsoever, and there are also high level players with decent shit and traders who've amassed fortunes who cheated for years before eventually getting vac'd and nobody suspected a thing. Evidence > petty assumption based on fallible associations. The demo I was shown, by the looks of it, he definitely wasn't cheating. Every time I've played against Jo it also isn't like playing against a cheater at all. He may hit some nutty shots but it isn't 100% consistent, and he isn't unstoppable. -

In regards to banning hackers
Aegean and one other reacted to Kypari for a post in a topic
There have been a few incidents in the past where people on the server have been wrongfully accused of aimbot, walls or other kinds of hacks and have gotten banned regardless of this. To combat this, I often like to show people who have accidentally banned someone falsely for hacking a playlist on youtube dedicated to helping spot hackers. Hopefully this should help in the long-term! -

In regards to banning hackers

You're absolutely right and I apologize if it seemed like I was implying it was something that was easily detectable as that was not my intention. I'm just saying that it's better to give someone the benefit of the doubt, because like I said: at the end of the day, those guidelines only moderately reduce the chances of it occurring. As a Staff Member, the responsibility here is to ensure that players in general have an enjoyable experience on our servers. That is to say, the focus should be on their enjoyment, not oneself. Mind you, that doesn't mean that Staff should essentially relinquish their own enjoyment entirely for the sake of others; more-so that they should take the time to consider "is anyone else having a less-enjoyable experience because of this Player's actions? Is it possible that this is a byproduct of the Player hacking?" more than considering "this Player is consistently killing me, they must be hacking". But please don't misinterpret this as me insinuating that every Staff Member treats any given situation as the latter more than the former, but merely that this is what would be considered the 'golden standard', though I digress. All-in-all, you're right: people are going to make mistakes and there is no fix for human error. But that doesn't mean that the Staff member can't get a second opinion on whether or not someone is "hacking" prior to actually banning them, especially if they've captured a demo. I'm not chastising any Staff who make a simple mistake as it's better to be safe than sorry, but honestly speaking: if the server populace isn't being affected by someone's consistent "lucky shots", the chance that the Player is hacking is less likely than it is when based on the Staff Member's sole perception -
2 pointsDivision Team Fortress 2 In-Game Name Crybaby Identity https://steamcommunity.co Ban Type Server Ban Information Was falsely accused for hacking on gaming history by some angry gamers, It started with them saying I was cheating cause i can headshot them as spy when they were cloaked and talking on the mic then from there on they were just 100% sure I was hacking also there was a point of me 180 headshotting someone behind me that is due to the decloaking sound you can hear. Also this isn't the first time this has happened on the server, you can ask the regulars on there that im on daily

What you look like most certainly does factor into you being a hacker or not since actual hackers will 90% of the time have no cosmetics or F2P cosmetics. There was no way to tell that it was Jo, and I'm sure we all know that Jo is pretty decent at sniper, so though I agree people shouldn't jump to conclusions because of their cosmetics, it is certainly a factor often. We are currently awaiting a demo from @VinylScratch -
2 pointsIf he is actually recognizable absolutely, lots of people have accused him of such and quickly turned around when they realize it is him (same for other decent players on the server before such as bless). When he is under a completely random alias, a private profile, and appearing like some of numerous hackers that visit the server though, that makes it pretty much impossible for anyone who doesn't have him added to actually be able to identify him under this presumption.

Fifth actually. Stop coming on as a private profile smurf and people might stop mistaking you as a throw away hacking account. Probably not, but maybe. -

+1, he's pretty cool in discord and game. Also, you have 13 hours, so if you can, I would change that no under 'Time Active on Servers' to 13 hours. A: 6 M: 8 -
1 pointI thought a good way to further the use of the marry plugin would be to make a match.com forum of sorts. Basically, one would post in this subforum what classes they play, what servers they play on, etc. How's that sound to y'all?
-
1 pointEven though it would be pretty funny, I really highly doubt anyone would use it realistically since most people would want to just stick with their closest friends or such

Your behavior still seems like it needs a bit of improvement. The times I've seen you you were pretty decent but your chat logs show that at several points you can get really unnecessarily heated. Also you've been on the server long enough now to the point where you should know that racial slurs and any loopholes aren't allowed. Disappointed to say, but I can't say yes to you becoming a member with an attitude like this. -1 A: 7 M: 4 -
1 pointIt never was undone, this is how it has always been treated (with demo's always being strongly urged even when either of the other requirements are meet). Having evidence for suspicion for hacking isn't equivalent to actual proof nor is it an exact science telling when someone is. People do and always have recorded demos for these situations, but that doesn't remove the margin for error of just straight up being mistaken.

-1 I have not seen any improvement. Nearly everytime I see them on the server, they're always complaining, despite telling them to use the !friendly command. And I had a few... Experiences. Where they would have an argument about how I'm "Harassing" them and I should stop killing them. But whenever I do, I just say to them, use !friendly, to which they ignore. -

This shouldn't matter. It's pretty easy to tell when someone's hacking and someone's just playing the game well. It's a trade server, we don't even get people who know how to toggle most of the time lol. -

This is the second time this guy has been banned for 'cheating.' Jo is just a fucking legend tbh +1 for removal of the ban, serious props for getting banned under pretenses multiple times @Scarecrow. Kind of sad that this isn't a one-time thing. -

It appears you were banned by @VinylScratch I'd like to hear their side of the story as to why they think you're hacking, before coming to a conclusion. For now, I have to admit, I see little proof of hacking, if any. I feel as though most of the gameplay was just a result, as Miyukii says, of good game sense and a good player. (Thank you for the demo) I'm going to stay neutral for now and wait for a response from VinylScratch. Currently leaning towards a +1, though. According to bans.xenogamers, you have been banned multiple times for hacking. Bad luck? Here's a link to Jo's previous bans: https://bans.xenogamers.com/index.php?p=banlist&advSearch=STEAM_0:0:25773310&advType=steamid -

1 pointThe ban will stand, 2 days is fairly reasonable for multiple rules broken. Also, banning after the fact is perfectly acceptable, and chat logs show he explained it immediately. As @TheSupremePatriotsaid, if you aren't totally familiar with the rules, maps or jailbreak in general, try to stay off CT and use these 2 days to try and become a little more familiar with the rules.

I really enjoy this server, as i already know most of the admins and players that come on to it, and even though i dont have a perfect reputation with people, i think a few people like me. the people are fairly nice and helpful with questions and about enforcing the rules and It makes me want to stay and play more on xG servers. -

The majority of players aren't even that good. There are times when a staff member might be familiar with rules, but play like dogshit so it's somewhat understandable that they see a good player and immediately think "HACKER!! RED ALERT!!" -

aimbot.dem DRIVE.GOOGLE.COM Here is the dem provided so that others can watch the clip. +1 I doubt Jo was hacking or would resort to using them. One good way to figure out sniper who is to watch how they play BESIDES aiming. When a player has monster aim but is moving like they've never played an FPS, it's likely that they're hacking. Really good legit snipers aren't good with only their aim. They have good game sense. They move around, have good crosshair placement, take advantageous angles, and know when to back off. which is what I seen in this dem. and I seen a lot of shots were missed when watching through the dem. -
-1 pointsWalls and aimbot tend to be more noticeable tbh, but I don't think a lot of those people I encountered on TGH was even hacking, actually easy to tell the difference from someone who has walls/aimbot to someone who plays fair. Basically I feel bad to those who have been wrongly accused.
