  1. yeah Discord channels are fine for small inter-clan groups of friends but when it comes to a large scale Discord for the entire clan I agree completely with virr in that having everything hosted on teamspeak servers owned by the clan is much more safer and easier to maintain.
  2. yay tinyturtle! +1 active, friendly, fun to play with, would make a great member. A: 9 M: 9
  3. glad to see this, heavy boxing has always been something I have enjoyed both hosting and participating in.
  4. Congratulations guys! :) xG needs more British staff, the lack of tea and crumpets is disheartening. :llama:
  5. pity I suck so bad at surf I can't even do the easiest maps.
  6. awesome thanks I will definitely look into getting it for my PS3.
  7. Interesting, I seen bon playing Persona, might give it a try looks good.
  8. I was thinking the same thing when I read the rules. Thanks Kypari for bringing it up and Bello for fixing it.
  9. +1 nice guy, seen him on a few servers regularly, would make an excellent member. A: 8 M: 9 Most of us use Discord now, there are several channels you can find many xG members in daily. (y)
  10. What country you are from (if applicable/you want to, your state/city/province) and just briefly list out your major tourist-y things that happen where you are from. England. Umm eating fish and chips, snacking on crumpets and drinking nothing but Tea. Touristy things include riding a giant wheel, seeing a giant clock, seeing an old building an old lady lives in and riding in black cars and red buses. What time of year/season would be in your opinion the best time to visit your country/locale Doesn't matter its always wet and cold here. Bring a raincoat and wellie boots. Any local festivals/fairs that would typically happen annually, and when they are that you would recommend stopping by to see/experience Bonfire night where we celebrate some terrorist trying to blow up the houses or parliament. . Its just like Independence day for you Americans except we set fire to huge piles of wood as well as light fireworks because why not. Then theres Glastonbury music festival in June and Notting Hill Carnival in August. Any good sight seeing areas outside of the tourist traps (hiking areas, cliff sides, hills, lakes, etc.) If you go to certain bus shelters you can find the infamous chav in its natural habitat, Don't try to interact with it as it may become aggressive and start walking into you while calling you a bellend. How the day/night life are Flipping cold and full of drunk chavs. Good restaurants/food stands that are a must stop at (my gf and I love food and trying local cuisines) Fish and chip shops especially if you are on the coast. (If of legal drinking age in your country) any good bars/pubs that you would recommend visiting No idea.
  11. About time a new view to membership applications was made. It is just too hard for some people to get the requirement of vouches to join in most cases. I hope this new process makes the whole application procedure feel more welcoming and less of a strain to newcomers.
  12. in other news, during the testing and set up process for these wonderful new titles, I lost my box and became a master of something.

all the custom servers are hosted internally on Blizzards servers, so we wouldn't need to host one. Also its currently only possible for a single player to create and set up a sever for server browser and no way to have one up 24/7. Now I got a few games lying around in my library that have servers like Rust. But I would like to see xG maybe make an attempt at populating a game I find is fun but is awfully underplayed called "The Ship". Basically the core gamemode is every player gets given a random passenger on the ship and a random target to kill, to win you have to be the last surviving and kill your target without being caught by either guards or cctv, there are weapons all over to find and use and if you get caught you are sent to jail and have to break out again without being caught to continue searching for your target. On top of that you need to satisfy your needs such as eating, showering and even using the toilet lol. Had so much fun playing with friends over a none dedicated server, nothing beats kicking down the toilet door and slaughtering your target with a crowbar while they are taking a poop :ROFLMAO: Just something to consider since having a bunch of people playing at once would be total mayhem, in a good way. wiki page about the game: The Ship (video game) - Wikipedia
  14. I would be seriously impressed if it gets to be half the size of the hyrule map. I don't see another map ever becoming bigger than hyrule.
  15. I'm mixed on it tbh. its hard work for any staff to have to keep monitoring the spawn points to stop camping on it and with no rules whatsoever the team with the upper hand could just set up engie nests, sticky spamming demos, pocketed soldiers, etc and would just kill the server population pretty much and if there are any new people visiting the server it would pretty much put them off returning to the server therefore losing potential new users. on the other hand if the rule remained it could be altered slightly to allow it so a staff member should only intervene if the spawn camping is a true problem, such as an engie setting up a sentry, or a demo planting stickies on the spawn location. A single player spawn camping will have little effect with spawn protection so it shouldn't be an issue. either way I'm going to vote to remove it but I will only support it if it only applies to slight spawn camping and not allowing engie nests, etc to be set up.
  16. who remembers gaming rotation? me and the rest of the tgh regulars at the time tried and tried to get it going but inadvertently failed. We had to resort to sending out group announcements just to get a few people playing for no more than an hour at the most before it died again. So I know from that experience how hard it will be to get a steady playerbase on any new gamemode we throw on a server. If we add say 10x server it won't instantly be a hit, in fact I am confident it will be just as dead as tf2ware is now. Its a hard process and one to consider before we throw up new gamemodes.
  17. for the moment I'm going to -1 due to the internet problems you seem to have could prove to be an issue not only with keeping activity up but responding to problems. Also as others have said you have only just come back so you should probably wait a while and prove to us your internet and activity is stable.
  18. +1 from me. I've been playing nothing but DR recently, Think its starting to become my new main server lol. Always will support new gamemodes similar to DR being added.
  19. I really like TF2ware, sad that there is never anyone on it, I would like to keep it in vain hope that it does get popular at some point.
  20. I got other games I play that I enjoy more so I really don't see myself getting into Smite anytime soon, if ever. also kinda dislike Hi Rez now after I heard they stuck pay 2 win crap on Paladins.
  21. I'm all for pokemon maps that won't be full of spawn camping snipers.
